Well, I'm fine with doing shorter Team races with short breaks in between... so let's say...

  1. Sterling Moss SLR @ Spa 8 Laps
  2. Alpha Romeo 8C @ Casino Riviera 8 Laps
  3. Gumpert Apollo @ Laguna Seca 8 Laps
  4. BMW M1 Procar @ London River 10 Laps
It may happen that having too many in one lobby will mess things up, but I'd like to give it a try and see if it works.
We'll also make one Chat Room so everyone can communicate if we need to split into two lobbies.

Sound reasonable to everyone?

What time do you guys start those races ?

BLUE TEAM RULE!!!!

ALL I CAN SAY IS WATCH THIS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sogKUx_q7ig THIS REALLY DOES SAY IT ALL.

:lol::lol::lol:

:lol::lol::lol:

You drifty'n fast1 little bastard you only won because Manny grounded me in the red team-punishment for opening an unnoficial and informal chat room before he did:dopey::) - and you know that it is agaist my religion to win under red colors :dunce:

Now seriously funny racing night and great clip.

I LOVE THIS SONG

And it's so refreshing reviewing the late Freddy so young and healthy...👍

Congratulation for the Blue team!

I think yesterday everybody wanted to put me out of the track..

No problem, but please forgive me if i say not only the new members have to pay a bit more attention for the others...:)

Good race anyway, it was fun!

I agree. I was a bit out of control at times yesterday. But you wasn't perfect either Mohamu as you spun me on Londom river and drove off. But it was an informal race...

Yeah, it was a bit rough on-track last night, but all in good fun.

Arvore proved two things to me... He's a F'n good driver in whatever game he plays and that he was right about the 🤬 BLUE BLOCKS. They are going to make a complete hash out of any legitimate race we try and run. I may have to do some re-thinking on the venues for next week.

I also learned that addictions is not only frickin quick on London River in the BMW M1, he's a quick thinker too!. When he got sideways in the chicane on London River with me 0.5 seconds behind him, he hit the reset so fast (so I wouldn't crash into him and ruin my lap), that I almost crashed anyway out of sheer surprise!:lol:👍

I had good battles at various times with everyone... Sharky on Spa in the Sterling Moss (we exchanged the lead two or three times) Good driving there Sharky.👍 And HOG was kind enough to call out where the clear path was through the dreaded BLUE BLOCKS, when I was trying to catch him on the Port B track. Sometimes I even made it through without hitting them!

I have to say though, I've definately lost my competitive edge in Shift since I started playing Supercar Challenge, which is somewhat disappointing to me. SSC is a deeper, more serious driving simulation than Shift, but Shift is still better in pure online excitement. As it showed last night! :)

Last night was rather a lot of fun I had some poor races and some good. I feel really at home in the M1 pulling some good times. The cow eater's really quick on London river and I mean quick.
Me arvore and lefty carried on untill about 4am GMT racing various cars and tracks. Arvore picked his favourite silverstone circuit the and the M1 which he seems to be dominanting in at the moment. A few laps passed and he was 6 seconds ahead I settled into to it eating the gap and sitting on his bumper. I stuffed it up on the last section and came 2nd with but with the fastest lap of 1.50.726 and the added bonus of making him sweat. lol
We also managed instructions to get lefty hooked up to his headset. He's quite a character.

I respectfully disagree:) .You're still a very competitive driver in SHIFT(or any other racing game you drive for a couple of days as scc experience has been proving) most of the best lap times were yours:tup:
Probably your not on the edge of your shift driving skills as you were a couple of weeks ago(going on from 1 racing game to another does that, it's the price to pay to avoid boredom and have more fun:) )but I would go as far as to say the blues only won because you were on their team:P

On a more serious note:
More important, and it's something I've been noticing since the last weeks of the previous league season,it's the role pole positions play in the final positions of the races.
Since the overall driving skills of league members have increased hugelly and everybody is very leveled in lap times beginning the races in pole position it's almost a decisive factor to win the race. And starting at the back of the pack requires an extra effort to achieve a podium finish,so luck as a role to play in all this-I think I've mentioned that I feel that the random factor in pole position atribuition in shift doesn't work very RANDOM and there are players(really don't know why and Boxox couldn't find anything relevant in the game code that explains that),and I'm one of them, who get more poles than others:tdown:
But I totally agree about shift fun factor and most of all the very close skills we now have between each other provides much more competitive racing then in the past,in the beginning of the races everyone feels they can win:tup: ,which makes winning so much more rewarding-althought more eventfull races-and that proves my theory that the quality of the online racing experience depends as much of the quality of the guys your racing as it does from game engine, physics, graphics ,etc

So thank you guys for another enjoyable and fun night of RACING:)

You can really add sweat to that:scared: .I was most impressed with your performance in Silverstone GP in the M1,you really deserved to win that one.👍 I am pretty satisfied with my driving in that combo but I've never mannaged to drop the 1,51,xx barrier which only confirms the great driver you are in any car or track that you get some time into:tup:

After enourmous effort,it begun at 9.00 pm GMT and finished like at 3,30 am GMT, we were able to get Lefty to pair his mic with the PS3:),I can only tell you it was whorthy:sly:
And Dryfty Fast1 also managed to get his new mic out of the box and we mannaged to Know his DOG:), Ooooh and he doesn't swear as much as in the League footages:P:lol:

Maybe everybody's mad at you for setting the fastest lap at London River & Silverstone. We don't take to kindly to young guns coming in and setting fastest laps

lol at 34 I'm hardly young. Oh how fast life passes by.

Where's the R.W tag?

Nope I explain to you:

-Manny trade us for the SCC crowd

-Drifty Fast1 is working on his bike(and filming the process to post in League videos archive thread after)

-Femky is still at his local film fest driking Old Parr with the directors and getting to know some indie moviestars

-Kemp was always more in driving than talking(writing in this case)

-Turtle and Rabbit are working abroad

-SteveO is recovering his writting wrist-he is left handed

-Jamie is chekking one by one the 2 000 017 entrys you linked him to look for spare parts for his G25,to find the best bargain

-Lefty is to lazy to write now that he has his bluetooth working, and resented your commentary about him being a character

-The newbies got intimidated by my advice to have a low profile attitude on the forum

-I'm writting nonsense rubish on the forum so you don't feel lonely being the only one doing it

-You still haven't got your one router and can't play online while your neighbour is watching porn on the internet-all night long.

Breaking the silence:

WOW!

Did you hear that Simbim is going to release their new GTR in 2011? (yes i know it is one more year..:()
Maybe You're not interested in it, and when GT5 comes out nobody will be playing with it, but I'm a big fan of GTR, and I'm looking forward it so much. And if it is true, the game will contains the "real-time-racing" feature!:mischievous: And it is not coming out only for PC or X-box, but on Playstation 3 too!

2011 will be a really exciting year for simulation fans:tup:

I should have updated everyone when I told Manny.. I'm just taking a break from the league for a bit. Mother-in-law broke her knee and had surgery on it. She's at our house recovering.. PS3 is kind of off-limits till she returns...
