Need help beating "Like the Wind" race on Indy SuperSpeedWay!!

Dear GT community, I'm SO stuck on the 2nd track of the "Like the Wind" race, which is part of the Extreme Series in A-spec.

I'm up against all kinds of super cars like the Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car and such, I just don't have a car that's fast enough to beat them, the best I've managed to do is come in 2nd with my Nissan Fairlady Z Concept LM Race Car

Can you please recommend or maybe send me a car that'll get me gold? Right now I'm limited by budget, level and vehicles I own, which are as follows:

Credits: 500,000
A-Spec level: 22
Fastest vehicles: Nissan Fairlady Z Concept LM Race Car, McLaren F1 '94 (maxed out), Nissan GT-R Spec V '09 (maxed out), Bugatti Veyron (maxed out) and the Ferrari 458 Italia '09 (maxed out)

Something like the Audi R10 TDI Race Car '06 would probably do the trick but it's 4.75 mill at the dealership and I'm so far away from having that kinda cash. If you're willing to trade or donate a vehicle feel will do the job please contact me, my PSN ID= Dutchn00bkliia

its fairly easy with a mazda furai. you can win this by getting to level 6 in b spec, and completing the miata race.

if you can, go and do the nascar special events and get gold, they are easy and pay well

btw have you won the other race in the like the wind event? if so what did you use?

There are only 2 and I won the first one with the Veyron, even though it handles like a brick I was able to out-break the other cars on the non-oval parts, it doesn't work on Indy Speedway though as it can't take the corners without braking, since the cars you're going up against have way better downforce they dont have to break and beat me every time when driving the Veyron.

I haven't done much with Nascar, I hate how they handle but I'll give it a shot. I appreciate the suggestions!

Abscissa you da man! That was both timely and accurate advice. Timely as the Miata (or "Roadster") event was the one I was about to do on B-Spec. I had to do a bit of tweaking to the transmission but in my 2nd attempt the Furai did indeed come in 1st, thanks so much!

de nada. but yeah, you should mod it (i think its a turbo upgrade?) and racing softs. with downforce all the way up and it should be no problem. glad you won it though. now you have a minolta!

I did this race once in the X2010. Lapped em 3 times. Is that even possible? Somebody call Albert Einstein, I think thats some kind of worm-hole or something.
