Oh lordy, I haven't been on GT6 or here in a very long time. I'm pretty sure I will be the slowest person in the whole community which is why I am posting here. I tried racing in single player and I didn't even get first :banghead::(. So that's a huge sign saying "Don't go online, you will embarrass yourself". Anyways, I'm not really asking for a tune, I just want a person that I can tune off of.

Thanks! :gtpflag:
It gets real easy too fast

I have a Ram 1500 Laramie that does an 8.467 1/4 mile, but I feel like it can do it faster. I am happy with the transmission setup Anyone have suggestions for suspension/drivetrain settings

im not sure how trucks are ser up but im sure the FF set up works min min or max min 10/ 1 /10 1/

Is there anyway someone familiar with suspension can give me an example or draft of how to approach tuning most classes of car suspension?

Example:

Awd
Rwd
Muscle car

Not asking for set ups but a good direction to be lead in.

Also a break down on what classes is good for camber, toe, rollbar etc.

A good break down sorta like the tranny thread would be nice

Suspension, for drag racing, isn't as sophisticated as transmission. All RWD prefer the same suspension, all FWD prefer the same, and almost all AWD like the same. All of these suspensions have been stated in one thread or another, so search for them and you'll get your answer. And no toe or camber on drive wheels.

Is the tuning the same as gt5 ryzno

I haven't played gt5 in eons, but when I first played gt6 I noticed tuning was different. But because I just started back playing gt6 after a good little break I've forgot what was the difference. I know tranny and suspension is a little different. I actually thought of poping in gt5 to see what it was but I eventually said fk it.

I checked it out its different I had some quick Hondas 8th gt5 but here its different on how u tune a car but I'm getting it though

The flips are different, due to different weights and power.
Suspension is about the same since they fixed camber and toe.
As far as FWD you'd be suprised how little ballest they need now.

But the ride height on suspension is a little different.

In gt5 atleast for rwd it was slam the front lift the back. Now it seems in gt6 that lifting both ends partially or full gives you the best results.

Ooh I got it now my 99 dc2 beats most of the dc5 in the lobbies I play in

i need a bugatti 1/4 drag good tune please!!!!

Here's an idea, why don't you post what you have so far so we can give you HELP instead of us just HANDING you a tune. Have you even tried to tune it yourself? Just a quick statement, most lobbies don't allow the Veyron's.

It's "help" not donate tunes

This Thread is for the discussion of 1/4mi. Tuning and Tips/Tricks of 1/4 mi. Tuning.
This Thread is not about just asking for a Tune, but the willingness to learn.

Even though, we don't like to give out Tunes, some members may decide to give out a Base Tune(not a perfect Tune, but shows you the right direction to Tune your car.)
If you still have problems figuring out your/how to Tune, please provide your Tune, so we can see where you have the settings wrong and tell you how to fix it.

We will not give specific numbers or Full Tunes, so don't bother asking.
If you do receive a Base Tune, don't cry that its not the best, ask for help on how to deal, with whatever problems you are experiencing in the Base Tune.

You two aren't being very nice  . I see the OP (underlined) says it's not about asking for tunes but it is about learning. The poor guy has stated that he "no so much good in tunes" and just wants a veyron tune to race friends. Now being as most lobbies do not allow the Veyron and tuning gets easy not only fast but too fast I don't see why we can't give this poor guy a good fast tune. I haven't dragged in a while but if I had my disc (at a friends) I'd throw it in and give him the exact tune for that POS.

So with that being said he was given a base tune. Maybe you all, no I KNOW YOU ALL, at least Shells or Ryzno can do better. But anyways here's the tune he was given (as asked for in bold) and you all have a good day! :gtplanet: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/tunes/veyron-16-4-09-coco-drag-tune.405/

 I see what you did there.

First off good to see ya back.
When I wrote the OP, people were literally asking for tunes almost day 1. How could we give out a tune, without a tune for ourselves?

As you saw in Shakes guide, he ask for a tune and was given one.

He asked for a tune he got advice from shake and a link to a tune by jez(tuned by coco)
He then said the tune wasn't good.
Jez said to work on it.
He said hes not good at tuning.
He should have came here explained whats wrong, so me or someone can help. As you read Shake doesn't exactly want people asking for tunes in his thread. Jez even asked him what is wrong.

Now do I condone how he was treated cause of his language barrier, NO!
But I dont know if its cause of that or what but when he explained what was wrong there really isn't any detail.
I honestly don't know if kings tune works or not. I have been MIA due to the lack of the Team being on(except for Avenger.) and also BR Drive issues, so I just downloaded it 2 weeks ago.
Also I wasnt awake to even respond. I woke up to 11 notifications in the drag forum and, I was in more shock of how much activity happened in one night compared to the 3 day hiatus everyone took last week(or the week before?:dunce:) Regardless I would have linked him to the same tune.

I literally am no help right now as far as giving out a tune. I will try to give advice to the best of my memories ability, to help with the new tuning setups. Thats all I can do, I have literally had no help from anyone except what I've read here and there. And with my limited time playing time I only have like 5-10 cars with OK tunes.

Sorry if I sound like a douche, but it does get old having people ask for tunes. A good example is the number of tunes/requests for the GTR's alone.

I provided a link to tunes, if they dont work, as I mentioned, explain whats wrong and ask for help.
If you do some digging you can see the people actually wanting help learning to tune, have gotten reasonable responses with little to no drama.

Its going to take a while for me to fix this thread and my others, as I said in the free agents thread I'm literally just getting back in to things, cause my team is finally getting back on. Sad excuse I know but it is what it is...

Anyways good to see ya back:cheers: 15 minutes past break:crazy: Back to work catch yall later.

I'm sorry but, if he's just racing friends, what is so bad about the stock tranny in the Veyron? I remember stock was pretty fast in GT5, so it can't be that horrible now. It's already a stupidly powerful AWD car so it doesn't need to be tuned to outrun most other cars.

The problem with just HANDING him a tune is the fact that he will ask again and again. Once he gets one tune he will think "Oh I can just beg for tunes all the time and I'll get them." Once again I use the toddler analogy: Once a kid gets away with something he/she will do it again because he/she thinks "I got away with it once so why not do it again." All I want is for more people to learn how to tune instead of constantly begging for tunes and never did I once make fun of him for the language barrier. My post was not intended to start any drama whatsoever people just took it the wrong way. All he had to do was post what he had on the Veyron so far so we could help him but I doubt that will happen.

I was a casual drag tuner when I came here for the first time. I wasn't very good.. at all, and just played every so often with friends. I asked for help with a ZZII, back before there was speed test, and got shut down and told to look for base tunes, learn to tune, etc. I saw how fast it was and thought it had a chance against the Vipers that ran most of the drag scene back then. When I got shut down, I kept trying but it wasn't going good running just regular random people. Then I started joining rooms with faster people, picking up random tips where I could and watching how people raced and what their suspension looked like. By the time I was getting decent, speed test finally came out and that's when I started doing weekly GTP comps that fest0r or kenny hosted.

The point of the story is that I wasn't handed free tunes, but I learned what I could from what others had to say and tuning against people. Sure, there isn't a speed test on the game(yet), but that means our tunes are based on skill and knowledge of tuning.

Well said Shake.

So what you are saying is tuning on a speed test involves luck and ignorance?
No, it just takes time to tune the car like cracking a safe. Less effort than cracking a real safe, just time consuming to try different settings and ratios. The difference is that the speed test tells you if its faster without racing online. It removes the fun of tuning against friends, against people who think they're fast.

What we're doing now takes more skill than that. We can't tune by ourselves, otherwise how do we know if its really faster?

I was just giving you two a hard time, no offense :) .. It just seemed like (to me) the guy has no interest (or at least dedication) in drag racing, he just wanted to beat up on a girl a few times. Nothing wrong with that right! :odd: .. Unless maybe it's a physical or emotional beating, that might be a problem! :dunce:

I beg to differ. More skill? How come? Putting in numbers takes the same amount of effort not skill. I've been around before the speedtest on GT5 so I know what tuning without it means. It does make it more fun, I can't argue with that. Online is always more fun than offline. The speedtest only takes the factors that you can't influence out of tuning a car. Like internet speed (ping), the TV/Monitor and other hardware you're running, "reaction time"...

I never understood why it would take more skill to tune a car against friends, or randoms, online, because there are so many variables that can decide if your tune is fast or not. Hypothetically speaking, what if you had a better tune than me, a faster one, and when we raced, I would tree you, and you would not win. Someone else would then do the same thing to you, and you'd lose. What does that mean? Did your tune lose, or was it your tree? It takes more luck to tune a car (fast) online, not skill.

You still can tune by yourself on GT6, just like on GT5, by going against your ghost. And even that is unreliable because there is very little chance that your revs will bounce the same amount as the run before (on GT5 that was a very relavant factor on speedtest, that's why times varied a lot from run to run on the same tune).
