Well I got round to trying this today, jesus it's hard. I was just on the demo so I had the slower single seater and a couple of tracks. I could barely get the thing around a corner or brake without locking up or spinning. I've never driven a real racing car but I'm sure it can't be that hard. If it is then I would much rather have a sim not quite so hard, personally, because that wasn't fun at all.
Terrible1fi and JVM's advice is spot on. Also, the F1600 is probably the trickiest car to drive in the game because of no downforce and it's tires. Many people think the uptake on NKP would be much higher if Kunos had used another, easier car for the demo. I'm inclined to agree.
That being said, once you get to grips with it and sort out the brake bias and pressure, it becomes so much fun sliding it around and is now one of my favourite cars in the game.
The F1600, F1800, F200 and FTarget also respond very well to the "hardmode" ffb algorithm, giving the cars a better feel, and make them much more intuitive to drive.
Go into the folder "nkpro13" where the game itself "netKar_PRO_NT" is located > open the folder "cfg" > open file nkpro.ini in notepad and change the line
HARDMODE=0 to HARDMODE=1. Save and exit.
Only the 1600, 1800, 2000 and FTarget need this setting. For the other cars make sure to set it back to HARDMODE=0
Not sure if you can change it in the demo, but give it a shot. And then go out and buy the game, and get modding. You won't regret it.
