Kaz: “Night racing is going to be a part of GT5, but with things like dynamic weather, the choice is about whether it will improve the experience. The functionality is not a problem – we’ve got the weather system done – but if we are not sure about the quality of it, and how it improves the driving experience, we are not going to have it in the game

For me thats a NO, maybe im wrong.

Remember, Kaz said that about Day/Night, Damage, Cockpit view, and they are going to be in GT5. I consider it a plausible

I'll tell you what the next idea could be, a racing suit with a helmet, boots, gloves and in laid 3d glasses. Also you wouldn't need a steering wheel, pedals & a gearshift you feel everything via the clothes.

Exacly, why would Kaz spend 100% of time on weather when he could only do around 50% and figure out it's not working for the game... That means if it's done, its for sure it will make it to GT5.

Now all we need is some screen shots and videos for day and night and rian effects.

I think I remember in long time interview, he mentions that if you race on a cold day you will get better engine power but traction from tires will be less sticky. So we might see instances when you race at colder nights or days you might get bit better performance? I hope so!

Since RAM is so CHEAP out in the market.. Why can't PS3 have 4 gigs?

I hope PS4 has 8!

Just like an F1 car & other cars.Imagine driving into a deep puddle, in an off road 4x4 with water washing over the bonnet & all 4 tyres splattering mud everywhere. The only way to get out, is with a winch cable wrapped around an old oak tree:sly:.

In another Mythbusters reference, neon underlighting is definitely busted. Only Mythbusters can make Discovery Channel entertaining...

Some guy posted these on another forum I frequent, don't know if they have been posted on here before.....

.....you can clearly see the 'hyde park corner' road markings indicating they are on the same track.

Yeah I remeber this pic, I dont think its only one, but PD really needs to update us with new stuff. How weather will be like as well day and night cycle.. I would be really mad as H#%% if they do GT4 style all over again.

That is how I feel about 5 year GT5 making now and as well too much secrecy!
We pay for the game, let PD show us some footage at least!

:grumpy:

That's a pretty impressive spot. I couldnt even see what you meant with it being pointed out to me :dunce:

It bodes well.

Just think... Nurburgring at night, in a Le Mans racer just as it starts to rain.

Ok, so the CBE has 7 support processors to back up the main one (right? wrong?), which should give it a lot of internal memory right there, right? Is that why it has so little RAM? 256mb is half as much as my dumpy five year old e-Machines desktop has, how can this be next gen? What am I missing?
-G

That RAM is running at 3.2GHz with a wider memory bandwidth than most aswell. That is what you are missing.

Your average DDR2 memory runs at around 600-1000MHz. Modern DDR3 RAM runs at around 1000-1800MHz, which is still only about half as fast, and with a smaller memory bandwidth. The chances are the RAM in your old e-machines desktop is running at <500MHz with a pathetic memory bandwidth.

EDIT:

The 7 SPE processors are linked together by the main PPE core (PPE cores like you find in a regular PC processor). The SPE processors are better at calculations than the PPE cores, but can't really be used for gaming. So somehow, through the power of magic, the PPE core converts all those calculations into those relevant for gaming.
