Seriously I am in love with the racing crz. That things is the one of the most beautiful racers I have seen! How much hp can you put out of the normal crz in the game? Since this is not RM it might be possible to get more hp out of it than the normal car. I am hoping for the same for the other DLC cars that can be tuned!

x2. I'll be buying the whole $11.99 package. I've been a fan of the CRZ for a while and if I didn't have a need for some practicality (4 seats) I'd buy one. For everyone doubting the CRZ, you should all watch the Best Motoring episode featuring the car. It's quite shocking what the little hyrbid is capable of.

Complainers will always complain. Hopefully the release of Forza will clear the forums and online lobbies out, then the kids can get back to putting anime characters on their cars and doing donuts.

I don't know why people are complaining so much. To create a whole real life track such as Spa which people have been requesting ever since release must take ages to correctly and accurately reproduce in the game world, especially for a smallish company such as PD. I think the pack is pretty cool, the new paint colours look awesome too!

Not to mention some of the cars look badass.

Lots of people are acting as this will be the only ever DLC. What I'm saying is there is still a chance for everyone's favourite cars to be added.

Still doesn't mean we can't be disappointed with this one. Also this is the first DLC of GT5 and the first DLC for GT series in general, the first pack should have been the best of what they can offer, really wowed everyone with what they've been working on the last year. Spa is great but the cars are pathetic for their first DLC pack.

Yeah but we know they've been working on Spa since before release, and that doesn't excuse the cars. They've had ample time to create at least 10 completely new models, instead they just modify some existing ones to create fictional race cars and expect us to pay for them.

"and it is I, the great player from UK who doesnt care if Tsunami did hit on japan earlier this year"

well DONT pay for Dlc, it's only a matter of choice !!! wake up

You didn't hear about the company having to move out of Tokyo?
They didn't "have" to move out of Tokyo, it is part of a larger plan to increase the size of their studios, although safety from natural disasters was also a concern as well.

That. But they also did say that they had shut down to help conserve power.

I red the opposite, that because they had to go to a safer zone and some parts of their offices being destroyed.

Their offices were not affected and the nuclear radiation was blown all out of proportion.

I'm not saying they weren't affected in some way, they were, but I don't take it as an excuse for this poor DLC content.

About the dlc for cars. I honestly dont think they will add competely new cars.Look at the previous dlc cars, its just been modified cars thats already in the game and almost a year later the same thing.I hope im wrong. The only new premiums I see coming in near future are the stanndards being converted.
Which is what im really looking forward to.
I cant wait much longer for a freakin premium supra :/

Dude just because you dont like the dlc dont mean its poor.If you dont like it dont buy it. Cool it with the unessecary complaining.
Spa is what almost everyone has been asking for.

while it's still only a DLC you dont have to get, right ?

There is TONS of DLC for games I wouldnt touch even I would have a bad disease !! Still I am not moaning and whining about those on forums like there is no tomorrow

Spa is great, the cars are poor in my opinion. I'm not paying for them to RM cars already in the game and pass them off as 'new touring cars'.

Forums are made for opinions. As much as you're entitled to your opinion that it's great i'm entitled to mine that it's poor. Forums would be very boring if everyone agreed with each other.

^^ I understand that.I honestly feel the same way. I feel those cars shouldve just been included as rm cars in the update. But it wasnt .. what are you gonna do.

Okay .. dont ..

I thought we will have 2012 Nissan GTR, Toyota FTII Concept and Lexus LFA Nurburgring package. Those are new Japanese cars and all of them referring to Nurburgring. As I thought that makes them automatically in GT5. Strange...

They need to make the Nissan Leaf RM to battle the Prius. My next thought is that the Prius would be a really bad choice for enduros.

I do like the Challenger though.

Even when the DLC pack was first announced by Kaz (via Twitter), he already mentioned that it's a "Racing Car" Pack. And that alone would disqualify cars like the 2012 GTR and the LFA as they're both production cars. It seems that people are not willing to even make any logical connection when complaining. I'm out of this hell-hole (for now).

That is actually true, but why keep repeating it many, many times ?

Yes, the car list is a little disappointing I must say, hopefully the X2011 is actually different to the X2010 significantly.

The only difference according to the description on the official Gran Turismo site:

"In the X2011, the cross section of the clear polycarbonate canopy characteristic to the car is narrowed even further, barely allowing room for the helmet and protector. This reduces the frontal surface area of the car. In addition, the cross sectional shape of the ducts connecting internal radiator, fan, and skirts is optimised to reduce cd (air resistance coefficient). There is no change to the engine type, power or downforce, but the reduced frontal surface area and cd result in less drag, and a higher top speed than the X2010."

So tack on an additional 10mph top speed. There will be absolutely no difference in performance for about 99% of races.

Considering this is their first DLC pack in the whole GT series, I will give them a break.

I believe the DLC button is a sign of many more to come ;)

Thanks! Maybe "2012 road car" pack in development! :)

Spa plus a new karting track at five bucks = *drool*

The car pack is rather unimpressive, though.

Of course, much fun will be made of it including a Prius and CR-Z race mod. Personally I think the inclusion of those cars is a statement by Kaz and PD - and because of the predictable reaction by hard-nosed petrolheads, a rather bold one.

Maybe hybrids are not the future of cars, let alone race cars, but there can't be any doubt that hybrids are the latest innovation in engine technology. The technology might be frowned upon or even laughed at by generations who grew up with their own distinctive views about what a (race) car should be. However, video games are played by a lot of kids who are still years away from their driving license. It still might be a marketing thing - getting those kids to accept hybrids as "cool" and even "racy", because they are included in a racing game. But as said above, I think it's really more than that - it's clearly also a statement by Kaz and PD.

All of the things combined for $11.99 whereas Turn 10 charges you $15 for a single track. I know it's cool to whine and stuff but as people have pointed out already, this is first DLC of many so just wait for the next one before being all doom and gloom. I would also like to remind you that obody is forcing you to buy it if you don't like it.

Has it been said anywhere that we are getting more DLC? I assume there will be more, but many people seem very confident we are getting more. Did I miss an announcement somewhere?

People keep talking about the Prius and CR-Z hybrids but has it even been confirmed they are still hybrids? They could have ripped it all out and stuck a petrol only engine in them for racing.

The placement of a DLC button on the far right on the main screen suggests that more DLC will inevitably come.

Well, it does say "hybrid" on the side of the Prius.
