if you support the game/series then you should buy its dlc.

Not only forza 4 just came out, meaning that the competition is making a lot of money which will directly go into developing forza 5, but buying the current dlc pack also increases the possibility of more dlc releases.

besides, it's just 12 bucks.
For that you get spa, an indoor karting track (which would be superb if there was an option to turn slipstream off), the mazda roadster, and the stig outfit.

That is no reason to buy DLC unless you have money to waste. I buy DLC that will offer value for the price. I'm picking this up but only because I will use it. I have plenty of games series I support such as Uncharted but have never spent money on DLC.

That has me a bit worried, what if we want another set of cars? Like one with Engine Tuning 3 and one without? Would we have to pay another $8 or could we buy them from the dealership?

Spec 2.0 added the tuning sheet, allowing you to have 3 different setups per car, so I think you're covered :)

I don't think so, I tested with my maxxed ZR1, and it didn't change: It still had the Stage 3 Tuning.

I too love the look of that RM Prius, especially those closed rear fenders and it's an original choice (which can't be said for all of them), hopefully it will add something significantly different in how it handles/performs than the regular Prius too.

What bizarre logic. I support the series but that doesn't mean I'll buy anything they offer me. I'll buy what I have a desire to buy.

I don't want a Mazda roadster, stig outfit or any of the other cars. So I don't care if it's "just" $12, I ain't buying the car pack or other rubbish.

Nice DLC.

But the only thing i want are still more tracks. I guess i will buy every other track they would release.

If they bring out a DLC.

whit: Opera Paris, Cita di Aria, Costa di Amalfi, Grand Canyon, El Capitan, Seoul, Hong Kong, Seattle, Motegi, Grindelwald, Red Rock Valley, SSR11, New York, Test Course, Beginner Course, Drag Strips & some world Circuits

i am happy to pay 100€ for it.

I think they look great personally. :)

Prius RM One make series anyone? Totally painting one Matte Pink to troll everyone who was disappointed by them as well. :sly:

PD is in a whole different position right now. Including all the games of the forza series, gt5 might sell 1/3 or even a quarter of those games combined. And yes, 4 forza games came out in the same period of time PD could make just one.

Nowadays turn 10 has way more resources than PD, and the forza game series is improving at a much faster rate than its gran turismo counterpart.
In the end that means forza5 (in reality forza7 or 8) will most probably be much better than gt6, therefore it'll struggle sales-wise.

In a genre in which most games are suffering from the said problem, which coincidentally are the ones that focus on simulation, i thought that argument would be easy to get.

I'm not saying that PD will fail or something. What I'm saying is that spec 2.0's dlc is PD's response to forza4, which should be reflected in earning money, and also that there's an obvious relation between the sales of this dlc pack and if there will be more dlc coming in the future.

and then again, it's just $12. Can't believe there's people discussing about spending that kind of money, especially in a game that costs more than $500 to play (ps3+game+wheel).

Why does people never be satisfied? It is DLC wich means you can or can't buy the cars, I am getting the hole package it is only 12 dolars, in other games they sell like 3 cars for 10 bucks....

And the cars are NEW because the had to model the whole car from cero to add the body modifications and also the new interior view.

I was expecting something else too but I think drive those cars is going to be really fun.

Let's see what is going to be on the next DLC, maybe old tracks from GT4, or new premium cars from recent years, or the new DTM's. Premium Ruf perhaps :)

You really think they started from nothing on these cars, rather than using the fully complete premium models they already had?

I wonder what the other two DLC packs will include after the 18th.

Other two packs? I thought only these packs were announced, originally three though, as a track pack, car pack and "gear" pack. Oh how they spoiled us with paints too :)

I don't know that two more "sets" of packs have been announced yet, though more DLC does seem likely, with that new button doohicky and all.

I'm a little worried about future car DLC (reskinned/tuned cars we already have isn't a good sign), but as for tracks, I can't help thinking they are holding some further goodness back. "Classic" GT tracks kinda seems a no-brainer.

That's a logical guess, but we don't know for sure.

The only two I like are the Lancer Evo and the Challenger SRT8.

Edit: The race modified Evo is good and I hope the Touring Evo is even better.

That's a logical guess, but we don't know for sure.

So I suppose it's pure coincidence they only created 'touring cars' we already have a premium model of, rather than a standard car or new model entirely?

I was checking the new intro video and I saw an Audi LMS Race Car but I don't know if it is the standard or a new Premium model.

And I guess that it is possible the remodeled the car due the RM Cars are different than the premium models from they come but this is just guessing the truth is only known on PD.

Still hoping to see Porsche on a Gran Turismo game, let see if the damn EA release the license.... or even if Porsche itself let PD to put the brand on the game... if not I'd be please with some Ruf Premium Models....

Is anyone else as excited about the new karts and kart track as me? Karting is one of my favorite features from GT5; the new additions look great. 👍

Maybe down the road we will see this, I'm sure PD is working on GT6 and using GT5 right now as testing grounds.

It should be honored and place in the game let alone the hall of fame.

The R8 LMS has killed every 24 hour endurance race it's been in this year I do believe. And their bringing it to Daytona for the 50th running of the Rolex, the other GT teams are going to need a miracle.

I'm just waiting for the green and red shells to come in...oh wait wrong game. Nah seriously it looks like a fun track to test and race these karts on and I think a series of these might be fun.

Any time Audi shows up to a race people need a miracle...well DTM is the only different thing. Hell audi should be given a montage of all their achivements from Group B to the new DTM to GT to LMP. All the way to the crown jewel that Audi once was...Auto Union.
