Here's what I read out of glw's comment initially : "I need 8$ of coffee every morning to keep up with life". He tried to "impress" me, it achieved the opposite.

I see it like this "I need $8 dollar coffee, cause I can't dare be seen drinking the $3 foldgers cup of coffee that taste the same"

Trust me I worked two years at Starbucks during college for one of my degrees and tasting the coffee day in and day out...it's not worth the price they have it at, just saying.

Also I agree it's not all that impressive.

Based on your posts, I'll guess that you are one of those "occupy wall street" types... If so, all i have to say is that it's MY money. I earned it. You are not entitled to it. You have no input to how I spend it. Go earn your own then spend or not spend it however you like.

I'm sorry that I gave you the wrong impression... Whether I drink coffee, soda, orange juice, or monster drinks wasn't the point. I meant to imply how petty your argument is.

I do earn my own, and I don't care how you spend it. Just don't come around here acting like your better than everyone just cause you think it's cool to spend $8 on coffee every day. Also learn about a group in depth before you speak out like you know them, cause your biggotry doesn't add to this. No one ever said they were entitled to your money and neither did I, also if you want to have a political debate do it on the correct thread.

Let's get back to topic here.

Every thread, an argument about how PD and Kaz don't do enough. Go work for them, maybe your help will enable them to do enough for the people who aren't looking at what we have favorably. I for one am going to purchase the dlc, all of it for 12 bucks. Wow. 12 bucks! I'd rather have Spa, new RM cars, the Kart tracks and all those race suits than nothing. I don't care if it's not the biggest dlc ever, it's something. And where I'm from, something is better than nothing. Even if it is 12 bucks. Besides, this is the "first DLC" for GT. If it's the "first", there's a good chance there'll be a "second".

Thats KERS your thinking of and Adrian hates the thing as it doesnt boost power as much as a bigger engine and it takes alot of space. Its only the rules making it worth 3 tenths of a second a lap that put it in the RB7.

Did I complaint about PD? No, I complaint about people like you who are complete tools and don't seem to realize we, all of us, could have had a real DLC if there weren't people buying that kind of crap to start with.

If you think it's worth it, and worth even 20$, I wouldn't want your opinion on anything, starting with what constitute a great game and what is good content, do you have to take a class in critical thinking where you live?

Second, comparing Polyphony to worse is intellectually dishonest and doesn't change the fact that this DLC is of a very low standard of quality.

I don't have to have that DLC either, so I'm not gonna buy the car pack, end of story. You got a problem with that? Say your piece. I clearly said why I have a problem with people buying it. Trying to apologize for PD will get you nowhere, I'm well aware what they do and why shouldn't they when you allow them.

What is offered is not good, Spa make sense, everything else is either bs or far down the list of what the community ask for. I'm not complaining about the price, I don't want it for free, I don't want it at all, but because YOU will buy it, it's there, it exists, they offer us that piece of garbage, YOU made my GT5 experience worse. Of all the things you can think of, was it really something you had in mind? Be real. Defend this pack for one second, even better sell me on that DLC, that'll be a tough sell, you better bring a lot of cute girls with big tits jiggling around.

If it's free, it's free, but with this pack they are selling a product which I do not see the purpose. This car pack is like an hybrid sport utility vehicle, once you start thinking about it, it's dumb. Do they really think it improves the game, the experience, as a community are we that dumb?

But look at the kind of developers PD are known to be. I don't think that their admittedly subpar dlc is because of their greediness. You can't automatically assume that.

The $20 that I would spend would be specifically for spa. Not really for anything else. For some people, it's worth it. Trying to say that I can't think critically because my opinion on what is worth a certain amount of money. Its different for everyone!

No! For some people its worth it, and for some it isn't. Just deal with it. If you don't lile the dlc offered, then don't buy it, and wait for something better. You don't have the right to tell other people that they aren't allowed to buy dlc because it isn't worth it in your opinion. That doesn't even make sense.

I wasn't saying I think the game was complete... All I'm saying is people don't buy a game to be a monthly service deal where you get new stuff all the time. What I'm saying is that if you buy a game, you should assume that what you get is what you get. People take all the updating PD has done for granted.
 
I've seen alot worse DLC in the past, many other racing game has dlc cars too, ok, some of those are completely new to game, but isnt it all the same, T10 gives 10 cars / pack as dlc, while people over their forums whines how "this and this car should have been in the game when we bought it"
imagine this, I bought Doom back in 1993, and it has been edited alot ever since, should I go whine at ID that they "owe" me Doom3 because it is mainly a Doom with better graphics ?
Or, I have a Forza Motorsport 3 and they made only 1 dlc track which was badly made, while they made 11 car packs, and there is one pack I cant ever have unless I buy a Special edition of the game, should I whine at T10 how I should receive that Special edition for free because it's more complete game ?
Btw, FM4 wont have any Dlc track because that one in FM3 didnt sell

Does anyone know exactly how the DLC cars are going to work? Does it just make them buyable, give people one of each ( I would guess this :( ) , or give one of each and make them buyable (my preferred choice)?
 
To the keyboard warriors moaning about DLC: Lets say you go buy a new car (I'm talking real life here by the way), lets say that 6months down the line you want to upgrade the speakers because the sound they produce isn't crisp enough for your liking. Does that mean that the Dealership that sold you your car has to upgrade your speakers for free? NO!!!!! And it's exactly the same for Kaz and his hard working team behind him at PD.

Yes OK, the Car pack might not be all that amazing for some, but for others (such as myself) anything is better than nothing, and I welcome anything that is made available to us. In real life I have owned several cars that started off completely standard, and I have upgraded them - mainly with OEM parts from better models - I have NEVER thought of complaining to Opel that I deserve to have the parts for free because I bought one of their cars in the first place. It was my choice to do it. It's your choice on what you buy and don't buy for GT. End of.

It's a 50quid game at the end of the day, not a multimillion pound/dollar/euro extravaganza. If you don't like a certain DLC, then just don't buy it. Something tells me deep down though that you probably have 2 accounts, and you will buy everything, your trying to score macho Internet points to look cool in front of the masses
 
I wonder if the Prius Touring car will be capable of being driven harder for longer periods of time....... I don't even have a Prius on my account as it is, which is why I ask the following: Whats going to be the story with modifications for this thing?? :P
 
Is the X2011 going to come in Other colors?
I predict a Blue/Yellow/Red livery in the future, in reference to the current S.Vettel livery.
 
I soo want the Prius racing car. Me and one of my friends have so much fun hotlapping my fully tuned, gold Prius. We also tested the normal one, and he said 'It's actually a pleasant car to drive.' :dunce:

But the thing is... It doesn't matter. I would pay $12 just for the spec 2 update. I'm happy with what PD are doing, and so I will gladly support them. Cars and tracks are just a bonus.

Thats bull. You could have easily rented it or tried it out first before buying. If you buy a game without checking if you are satisfied with it first, then you have no one to blame but yourself.

Why would i have to rent it? Renting is understandable if its the first time that the person has ever played a Granturismo game and they want to see how it is, but i've been playing since Granturismo 1..So give me a legit reason why I should have rented it..lol

Considering that the cars lose power PERMANENTLY at around 15,000 miles, it would be bad if you can only get a single copy of one for $8.

If its like the steath car downloads, whenever your car starts losing power, delete them and redownload from psn store. Shiny new cars!
