Wow, never knew you could do that. Are the stealths still available?

If they are on your download list then you can.

I'm pretty sure with the DLC they'll appear in your garage, but also be available to purchase if you want more than one.

See 2 or 3 pages back. I posted a link that has defintive proof that you get them as a ticket.

EDIT: Its page 13.

I bet the Prius Touring Car is going to be a blast to drive.. I'm going to buy all of the DLC personally. Say what you want, I'm excited.

Yes...they're all premium. I thought these were race mods? The descriptions on granturismo.com are similar to race mods for the cars in the game already. Oh well. Hoping to pump out 300 hp in the Prius touring car, gonna be rockin it in Maziora Mazeran on black wheels.

Some of you guys act as if this will be the ONLY dlc that they'll release :indiff: I mean, yeah, I would of loved to see NEW cars instead of RM versions of ones already in the game, but you know, this probably (hopefully, actually) won't be the last dlc they release, and maybe they'll release newer cars later on. You never know. (besides, I like some of the new RM cars :D specially the RM R32, R33, and R34, they look awesome).

I am personally disappointed to see yet more Miatas and Nissans, but I can understand why they are doing it like this. There are lots of problems with PDs and Sony's infrastructure. And the way people who play this game whine about everything there is NO WAY Sony or PD could put this new feature in beta testing. So their "test" is production. They have no idea what kind of traffic their servers are going to face, or what their network or processing systems are going to do. So they trickle out some stuff, enough to get more than half of the user community download to see how it will work.

Then, in the future you get more choices and more options. If they had 15 different packs of 20 cars each and several different packs of tracks and suits, etc and their server crumbled under the strain of everyone jumping on it at once...

You think there's whining now?

Just wondering. By quickly looking at the specs, these so called Touring cars are not to dissimilar to Kaz's GT-R N24 Schulz (Not to far apart in looks either).

I remeber something about Kaz saying that the DLC would also come with a surprise or two. He also said something about a small patch with the DLC.

So what if the surprise/patch is something like an new A-Spec endurance race series (about 4 hrs each) involving all these cars at Suzuka, Le Mans, Nurburgring (4hr layout) and of course Spa. All with weather enabled.

Now I have been leaning towards not buying the car DLC as it just didn't quite make sense (track though was an easy "yes").

If the above though is close to the mark, the complete package becomes a must buy.

It doesn't give a PP but it does give some of the cars BHP etc in their descriptions when you click on the car.

The obvious is that they are all designed to race each other being basically RM cars, one of the DLC cars is another RM'ed GT-R (which is what Kaz's car really is)

So would it be to out of place to have Kaz's RM'ed GT-R race against this DLC pack, on tracks which in real life all host endurance races

Fine....

Do you at least accept that a GT-R N24 Schulz, a car that itself is race modified could possibly, in some shape or form bare ANY resemblance to anoth RM'ed GT-R that is one of the 15 cars in this DLC....

How about where it says on one of them is comparableto the GT2/GT3 class, which is the equivalent to the class the N24Schulz was in

Is that to difficult to understand or would you like me to draw you guys a diagram?

N24 GT-R was SP8 (I think) class at VLN but is definitely not GT2 or GT3 comparable...

The R35 GTR looks like Sumo Power/JRM GT1 GTR in FIA GT, not road GTR with splitter, rear wing and fender flares....

The SP8 is GT2 class (I think)

Just checked. SP8 is for cars with an engine displacement greater than 4.0 and up to 6.2L

I just looked through the descriptions again. None of them say anything like that.

Edit: I found where it says that. But once again it's part of the description for the stock Spec V not the new RM model, and it's comparing it to other road cars.

The Spec V is now in the same ‘road-going racer’ class as the Porsche GT2 and GT3.

N24 GTR is SP8T class which is Turbo SP8, SP8 appears to be GT2 but GT2/E cars weigh 1245kg rather than 1505kg....

That would make sense then.

I started getting confused to hell a couple of years ago when the did some rule changes and moved alot of SP7's to SP8 (think one was a works ferrari)

something got me thinking, would we be able to have more than one copy of each car? if I wanted to tune them or change colors, anything like that...

To the keyboard warriors moaning about DLC: Lets say you go buy a new car (I'm talking real life here by the way), lets say that 6months down the line you want to upgrade the speakers because the sound they produce isn't crisp enough for your liking. Does that mean that the Dealership that sold you your car has to upgrade your speakers for free? NO!!!!!

Let's say they told you bought it after a long wait, assuming it would be complete. You buy it, and you have to live with the sub-par parts and performance (including speakers), but it isn't that big of a deal because there's a lot of the car you still enjoy. You know this feeling if you've ever owned anything built by General Motors.

Anyways, the dealer/manufacturer releases "updated" (read: originally intended) parts gradually over the next year. They then charge you for the speakers because they cost extra money to finish, even though they should've been in the car in the first place. It comes down to this: are people entitled to something that should have been released with the game? I stated this on page 11, but I'll repeat: it baffled me that the entire new NASCAR lineup is free (and had no reason to be introduced/updated with its incredibly limited support), but a few RM models and karts cost money.

But then it hit me. They didn't bother to charge for NASCAR vehicles because they know only a few hardcore fans would bother buying them. They're charging for this package of cars because they know people will pay for a slightly modified X10 with a very little performance advantage. There is absolutely no reason for them to release that car with such a minor change... except to make money. They toss in the rest of the completed projects with it and slap on a price tag. Now I'm baffled as to why people think the car package is anything but a ruse.

But look at the kind of developers PD are known to be. I don't think that their admittedly subpar dlc is because of their greediness. You can't automatically assume that.

The $20 that I would spend would be specifically for spa. Not really for anything else. For some people, it's worth it. Trying to say that I can't think critically because my opinion on what is worth a certain amount of money. Its different for everyone!

Do you complain that people who buy brand name medicine or clothes or groceries are ruining the industry?
No! For some people its worth it, and for some it isn't. Just deal with it. If you don't lile the dlc offered, then don't buy it, and wait for something better. You don't have the right to tell other people that they aren't allowed to buy dlc because it isn't worth it in your opinion. That doesn't even make sense.

There is a line between people buying it because they think it's worth it, and buying it because this is all that is offered to them. Those who will buy this pack, would not if they were presented with a DTM pack, open-wheel pack, sport sedan pack, supercar pack (etc.) along with it. But because that is all there is, people buy this s*** without thinking about the consequences. We are presented with this extremely bad DLC because developers know their laziness will sell, they won't challenge themselves and do the minimal effort. Nowadays people are accustomed to mediocrity, they even expect it.

So if you think this DLC isn't really that good and you'd rather have anything else, not something else, ANYTHING else, why would you buy it? Because you piss 8$ of coffee every morning? Reinforcing someone else's bad behavior is just as wrong as the behavior itself. So, when they release the second car DLC if, while looking at it, you think to yourself you'd rather buy a random car selection from a random GTP member instead, think of me. (I hope it won't be the case)

PD isn't responsible for this piss poor car DLC, those of you who will buy it are. That's my argument.
