well, today i felt like blowing some money so i took the beast down to a local tuner and got some smaller pulleys for the blower.

its now running 21lbs of boost and puts out a massive amount of power.

was a fair bit of fiddling to remap the fuel and tune the engine but the rewards are there.

the car is now officially scary to drive.

the dyno test was done from a roll on in 4th gear because the dyno's dont read anything over 200km/h.

max power was at around the 7000rpm mark ;)
 
hey, 7000rpm :eek: What is that in your avatar ? I thought it was a jellyfish and now it looks like the back of a foot really warped with the eyes there on the back... :lol:
 
So, how easy is it to adjust the boost on the charger?? Is it just a twiddle of a button or do you have to screw around alot??
 
id never attempt it myself, i got tuners to do it. to adjust the boost on the charger you change the size of the pulleys. the bigger the pulleys, the less boost and the smaller the pulleys, themore boost. just like gears on a car.

after the boost is increased/decreased the fuel system and other things have to be tweaked for the engine to run smoothly. i wouldnt know the first thing about that so i leave it to the pro's.
 
I just want to know, whats the top speed on the damn thing?

Surely it can get up to 200mph?
How comes you took it back down to 500 something bhp, was it too insane to drive?

yeah it was too hard to drive smoothly and the mileage was up to ****. was a very unefficient car with that much power running through the motor.

now that ive pulled it down 200 horse, its a much better car to drive. the wheels done spin all the time, gear changes are smoother and peak power is just before redline, not deep inside it.

ive hit an estimated 310+ km/h in it with the original 460hp. i wont try it again :scared:
 
The thing I like (as well as the internal mods) most is that's it's in black with no stickers anywhere....no silly flames :fire: along the side or anything :thumbsup:
 
i dont beleive in killing cars with decals and crap like that. most of the time people put them in the wrong place and they look stupid.

i bought it like that, i can only take credit for the now larger power output.

i bought the car for $43 000 australian which is a real steal for the amount of work that would have gone into the motor.
 
at around 5pm yesterday the senator was stolen from a hospital carpark. the thing that pisses me off the most is that id only just installed subs and an amp. :(

i hope i get it back in one piece.
 
it was our BRAND new 2002 Ford F-350 Dualy Pickup truck. We brought it to the dealer in toronto to get serviced and a guy stole it right from the lot (hes got balls hey) and it ended up in montreal hundreds of miles away and it ws discovered that the guy who took it ran an illegal smuggling ring of riding lawn mowers from the U.S. lol He wrapped the truck around a pole, which ripped the box right off the damn thing and totaled the mowers in the back
