new competition?

Hey i was thinking and wondering if i could host a competition. i know that it needs to be unique so i thought each week a different manufacturer and a different country or region or time of day to drive it. So please post comments and any querys just P.m. me

I'm having a really hard time to participate in most of them already, I think there's plenty of comps running at the moment.

But if you have a really original idea, I'd love to hear it, maybe I'll be in favor of it. 👍

yeah, itd have to be really creative and unique to get a decent amount of entries. plus, make sure youve the time to run it properly.

I've got no problem with you running a comp, the problem is the comp, what is it going to be, do you have any ideas.

well,there is already tons of competition being made.If you want to make one,make sure its unique and not already made.Wish you luck at starting a trendy competition!

meh, id don't really know what to say here.

It looks like there are plenty competitions to choose from, but like everyone else has said, if it is unique enough, then go for it.

I never enter comps anymore anyway (with the exception of the photomode tourney ) so it doesn't really matter to me.

I have a couple of better ideas now, Each week a different Nation is chosen and a certain Continental Track also the car will have to be in a certain power level group. Do you think this is ok? or do you think it is a bit complicated?

My one problem is the power level group.

Are you saying that some weeks your car has to be modded to a certain horsepower or, say the theme is Japanese with power level of 600-1000hp so as to restrict the car choice to the LM's, is that the idea?

Do you have anymore ideas you've been tossing around?

Well, there are enough competitions, so you don't want another one, but then again it'd be nice to have a different idea. The power idea isn't very good, but the car corrosponding to it's country's race track is a good one. Well, it doesn't matter what I have to say. See what others want...

Hmm i thought of like a class system where the original cars horse power is used eg. Nissan Micra original horsepower is 100bhp so that is Class C and the theme could be Japanese Class C Cars but then again, it is rather complicated, thanks Alextb and Loon for your thoughts

Personally, I think that there are too many comps going as it is without adding a new one, after all there is:
Tournament (Currently) PMC & 2.0
Certain Car Certain Location (CCCL)
PhotoMode Comp
Un-edited Comp
TT PMC
GT4 Photomode 2.0 Comp
Drift Comp
Head 2 Head

So there are quite a few covering plenty of subjects. But if you can get enough intrest you may be able to sprout this competition as it is a good idea. Just one question is it going to be 2.0 or PMC? Or 2.0 one week then PMC the next?

No it's not complicated at all, sorta reminds me off the CCCL comp. I like the idea personally, I don't know if its enough to make a comp around it though, but we'll see in time.

I say go 2.0 all the way, I personally hate the alternating between PMC and 2.0. Plus there are more comps that offer PMC than there are that offer 2.0 right now. 4:6 ratio as it is now.

^ Thats what I thought but was afraid to say it. And Loon I would keep CCCL all the time 2.0 as we get more entries when we do that than PMC but people then say we go to far from the roots of the competition.

Is there a Classic Car Comp in here?Like where only cars from 1970 can only be used,in monochrome picture quality,on an old track,etc....

If you wanted I would be willing to create banners for you as I have done it before for the TT PMC comp and thinking about re-doing the ones for CCCL. So if you need a hand then just tell me.

It sounds like a good idea and there is nothing to stop you from having a go, but to be honest I think your idea would be better as a theme for an existing comp or tounrament, rather than one in its own right.

A name isn't that important, but if your making one hurry up! How about a competition with cars in the pitlane? Or ones waiting on the starting grid. The variety of cars in them would make it more apealing. Anyway...

Name it the NC comp or something. N for national and C for continent.

due to demand, the competition will start this weekend, If anybody has any major objections please post them here

we should do a full on photoshop, all access competition of some sort that way we'll be free of arguing about rules and regulations just my two cents
