I was getting a lot of heat over Pcars board for trying to make constructive criticism to the game -when it got released-.Sometimes I wanna just hotlap in AC at PC,sometimes I wanna play GTS "Sports" mode or Pcars 2 "championship agaist AI" in PS4.

hmmmm this isnt encouraging... so people can pit for fuel, then just do the tyre glitch on their out lap?

In terms of online gaming,GTS has a kinda "copy-paste" iracing system (a win here) and also much bigger-active player base (another win here).
So I think its normal that people would choose GTS over Pcars 2 for a quick online matchmaking system.

Tested this in a private lobby and can confirm that it still works in the outlap, but not in later laps. As soon as you cross the finish line on your out lap it won't work anymore.
Seems to be some workaround solution that sufficiently works on the symptoms, but not fixing the root cause.

Outlap as in lap 1 or outlap as in first lap after pitting?

Edit: I guess end of lap 1 gives you 1 more lap...

lol... if this really work this way, then the fix is mostly pointless, and we can wait another weeks to get this bs fixed. Maybe i play gta races in the meanwhile. There know every single player every glitch and shortcuts, so the races are more fair for all...

The guys are saying that it works in the outlap.
If you pit in lap 5,the first you do after that is an outlap.So it still gives an advantage (if this is actually the case) of pitting and not taking tires.

Do it on a very slow corner - win/win as the game automatically slows you down and takes a good line

Damn video didn't work, looks like it threw it away (double pressed share and then "rage quit" from the race after I had finished my tests without stopping the recording, and then the video was nowhere to see ).

Anyway it looks like it doesn't work at all in Sport mode. I tried right on the first lap after the start and it didn't work, then went to the pit, didn't change tires, then tried again, and again it didn't work.

Also the menu looks different, or were there always only 3 sub menus in Sport mode (Options being the middle one). I never even went to the menu during Sport mode before. I am used to more sub menus from practice and also the videos posted here showed more sub menus, but probably they were all from private lobbies.

Anyway, unless I did something wrong (but don't think so, as in the private lobby in the outlap I *did* get it to work) this will not work in Sport mode on regular laps and also not on outlaps - at least not if you don't change the tyres. Maybe they implemented another workaround for that.
One could try if it would work if you DO change the tires, but even if it worked it wouldn't really help a lot.

Well I cannot read others people's minds but when I see someone saying an outlap,I understand the first lap out of the pits.
I dont think he means 1st lap in the race,since that is not actually an outlap.I dont know mate.At this point it may not even work at all and fully fixed.
We'll need a video proof of not working in an outlap (or working) to be sure.-Dont wait from me to test it btw-.

In my test in Sport mode race C it:

• did NOT work on the first lap
• it did NOT work on the outlap after a pitstop when not changing tyres
• maybe it works on the outlap if you DO change tyres, I haven't tested this - but I think even if it works it won't help much

Well it isn't exactly the same test, in the lobby I came from the pits on the first lap in practice session - there it works.
In Sport mode first lap you don't come from the pits and in the pit stop lap I didn't change tyres.
So it is still possible it does work in Sport mode on the outlap if you do change tyres during the pitstop.

So from all the posts it seems the bug only now works on lap 0, which sport mode races don't have so it's basically fixed. Even where you can do it, it will have zero benefit anyway as you'll be refreshing pretty much fresh tyres.

If you dont ban cheaters,the'll be looking to find another bug.Eventually they will and before PD spot it,they'll be racing and gaining DR/SR ratings and wins with no "problem" for them.
Fix the bug,ban the cheaters.

Main point: It also didn't work in the outlap after changing tyres in a pit stop.

One of my most nerve wrecking races btw, the field was so spread out on the short Brands Hatch circuit, I can barely handle the Gr. 1 cars, was doing this with the controller, having a hard time doing the donuts and constantly looking out to not screw with anyone's race with the field so spread out, so I wasn't always successful despite trying my best. Also I couldn't really "wear" the tyres a lot, but the red bar should be visible.

So please focus on the tyres then and not on all the crazy stuff I am doing there....

Also sorry to the race participants who I might have interfered with or at least distracted and also sorry for killing the 50m marker at the left after the hairpin...

I definitely don't think PD can ban anyone. It is highly unlikely that they have pause statistics being counted every race. They need definitive proof someone was cheating. This was easy to detect for the pit glitch because the user would set an ungodly best lap in the process.

That being said, this doesn't mean that you should use the glitch. Have self respect.

Banning is highly unlikely.
