Well why don't you just all use this tire healing exploit now that everyone knows about it.
It still involves some strategy on how often to use it and where to use it, which could also be interesting.
It will probably only exist a few days anyway, so in a couple of months you'll have anecdotes to tell how you all did with the tire healing strategy

Funny as hell thisWe just done a quick search and found some old footage of another way to do the tyre change without pitting
This is a big oversight by PD and should be a priority fix in the next update, Try not to let it spoil your racing in the meantime

So the way I’m understanding this is with the pit glitch, what EVERYONE should’ve done was reverse in on the first lap, because it was available to all of us so it makes it okay, right?
This is not okay to use and the fact that it’s much more difficult to catch makes it even worse, not to mention using it multiple times per race and scoring points in DR for it, “testing” my ass, I hope PD is able to track that stuff.

does this work in all races other than Sport mode? Arcade mode and online lobby?

Yes, however - somebody showed in a previous video that they can pause right before they go into pits - not take tires, just refuel - then change tires while the car is autodriving out of pits using this glitch.
So yes they've still got to stop, but they're effectively saving 5 seconds not changing tires.
That and they also can change them mid race when the tires are wearing a little so they can keep running at full pace.

Wow. Glad I never found out about this bug during a 10-lap race at Suzuka yesterday. I will never use this to exploit my time in racing Sport Mode, so hoping it gets fixed.

I quit the one race I did there yesterday when, on the fifth lap, I was being butt raped by multiple drivers on fresh tires. No on had gone to the pits yet.
I started second and the next fastest guy was 1.5 seconds off my pace. Yet as my time slowly dropped theirs magically stayed the same or even improved.

Then it appears that guy had used this particular bug it seems. Man that sucks! Not sure I would want to race in races that feature tire wear for now.
