NEW EXPLOIT - Tyre "healing" without stopping

Once PD is aware of this and they are supposed to be already then just halting all Sport, daily, nations and manufacturers races that have tire wear enabled will stop the exploit until a fix in the code rectifies the problem correctly.

There is absolutely no reason for this to continue onward to affect online races as it can easily be disabled while the proper fix is worked on.

Can't believe that the boca juniors guys exploited this bug in the sport mode races. This is the most unsportive thing to do, unbelievable. If you want to test this so badly create a race in a lobby or something like that.

It would be fair to reset the sportsmanship/safety rating of all these people exploiting the game (if they can't ban them), stick them in races with the deliberate wreckers and their fellow cheats. If they want to take the fun out of the game for us crush their enjoyment.

They will be back to 99 with a couple races. These are good racers.

There should be a negative like button for posts like this.

Well fine, but the way I see it you could:
  • Do the C race or FIA race and not use the bug/exploit, knowing that some people in the race probably WILL use it - not fun.
  • Stop doing the C / FIA race for the time being - not fun.
  • Or just accept it as the "new normal" for the (probably short) time being and have a level playing field between all racers.
Yeah it shouldn't be possible, but it is PD's fault, not the people who are using it.
It is beyond unrealistic to believe that no one will use it as easy as it can be applied.

Besides I don't find this any less "honorable" than using the Lancer without ABS (which by now probably less people know about than about this bug/exploit).

I've had a few tire wear races where I will catch some car up that has its hazzards on going slow, then it will suddenly shoot off again and leave me for dust in the corners. I recall seeing that player before, so it may have been the same guy each time.

I had thought how nice someone was for putting their hazzards on while they served a time penalty.

EDIT : giving him the benefit of doubt, he could have gone for a quick toilet break, or pressed the button by accident.

So this is what all that flashy warning light hazards nonsense was all about...another glitch which needs a patch. Whats going on? Were the other GT's as bad ? I never played online (there didn't seem much point - took ages to 96% it) so I don't know

I get your points and feel the same way about this. But i wont be doing this even though it means i cant race my favorite race right now. Out of fairness to the ones who dont know and out of fear of getting banned or reset by PD.

Exactly the same “reasoning” could be used to justify doing the pit bug, if you don’t other people will, so I’m guessing you did that too?

Unfortunatly I noticed people using the bug in the Nations Cup race at Nur GP. Not just that pole time in S S lobby was done using the ''tyre refresh button''. I will not mention anyone but the lap was 0.7 faster than mine in 2nd and over 1 sec to 3rd place.

Nothing is going to stop people from using it so PD needs to act as soon as possible.

Whatever gets you ahead in the game I suppose... I can’t imagine it feeling like you actually achieved anything knowing that you cheated. Let the cheaters do their thing, I trust that PD has a way to figure this out and apply the appropriate action, if any.

Noticed it in Nations Cup I entered. At least I can blame others when my DR goes down now, ha. SR up/steady, so thats what i'm aiming for over the nxt few day's till it's fixed. :-)

Dude i heard from my mate about who this was... Its a real shame... Even using in quali and hoping to get away with this...

He was really arguing with my mate about this later.... cant believe how self centered and ******** arguments are the head of some People... :((

I really hope this mess gets fixed soon - so we all can settle These Things again... ON THE TRACK :)

Wow I'm so angry right now. First race this joke of a game put me in a lobby with just DS players and just one other SS player, which basically means 0 points. 2nd race at Nürburgring I cought at least one guy overtaking me by using this bug and if that's not enough someone decided to go kamikaze on me on last corner. If I would've just used this tyre wear bug I would have ended the race 3 or 4 places ahead, that would have been 500 points more... :banghead:

SpaceX can launch and land the most powerful rocket in the world, but PD can't produce an update without adding another bug.

I haven't been able to produce any video proof because I don't have the replays where people were coasting with their hazard lights on, but I am pretty certain this bug existed pre 1.11

In first Race, your SR was below 90 (but still S) - this is matching you in some strange "Sub Lobbys" with the slowest DR "higher SR" people - i had this too two times and IMO this is stupid ;)

Saw the video about this... Why people use it when they are one of the fastest in europe?
But he said he is the best and i always drive behind him.. Next time he goes to Walhalla!

This Bug could have been around since PD started with online Daily Races with tyre wear on.

What's your point? How many rockets exploded before Space X finally managed to land one... You can't achieve great results without making mistakes.

I know there were many rockets that had Rapid Unscheduled Disassemblies. Mostly I was joking about it because the Falcon Heavy launched successfully today. It's still unconfirmed, but the center core seems to have had an RUD.

Yep, it could have been around since day 1. It just happened to be caught right after a patch, which makes me think that it was an unintended bug from another patch.
