I might be getting a cherry red 1965 ford mustang convertible as a first car.. Not too sure about that, though.

Sorry HsV, my bad. But I'd never buy a Ford anyway, so. :yuck:

My sister wants a Mustang Boss 302. Personally, I can't stand cars that old, but eh.

Alright, here's the deal. I'll be acquiring my learner's license in a few days. Given the following, what car would you guys recommend?

I need a car that:

A) Runs.
B) Has body kits/chassis customization available.
C) Has at least a 2000cc (preferably V6+) engine.
D) Can conceivably keep up with the massive population of Asian boyracers around here. I.E., Supras, MR2s, FTOs, GTOs (3000GTs), etc.
E) Has readily available parts (i.e., no cars from 1950).

To give you an idea of what prices are like here in New Zealand, the average 2000cc 2-door sports coupe, used, costs around $5,000 USD. Lowest price is around $150 USD, highest is around $80,000 USD (for a Ferrari).

Ah...nothing like the thrill of street racing on a new license.
