i don't wanna be a flame starter but.why japan makers are making that to u.s

they have a nice evo VI and VII and as soon they say will chip to u.s they turn it in to that ugly thing called evo VIII.

and now the beauty unique and powerfull V6 skyline is turn into that fugly and heavier version.

etc,etc.

why,why ,WHY ??????

o.k i was wrong is a inline 6.(i don't know what i was thinking)

my point is:anytime japan (almost allways) make a u.s version of theyr cars they turn the whole car to something no so much good as they get in japan.(sorry for all my typos)

Hey things change, you can't expect them to just start making R34's again and selling them here, plus it's a different market here that's why they want to make a V8 version for America because they are stereotyping Americans thinking that they will like absolutely any car with a V8 in it because it sounds good. As for the Evolution 8 that thing is not as pretty as the previous generations, but it's not like they are selling it only in America while they made a different model everywhere else. Meaning they don't make ugly cars specifically for sale here.

There, Doug, now you don't have to.

I think the concept CerberaLM was talking about is this one?

Or this black one

this is what they should have made, with a 2.9L RB29DETT. Just a thought.

These pics were from Best Car about 3-4 years ago, not so long after the original R34 GT-R was released. Personally, I think this isn't a step forward in terms of design, whereas the new Skyline Coupe/Infiniti G35 most definately is. Love it or hate it;)

Retrospective, since it's been there for over a week, but yes. Sorry, Doug. Well, when I say sorry, I mean, I'm not sorry. There you go.

if that pic is from 3-4 years ago then why does it say copyright 2003?

Eh? I've got that very magazine back in England and I bought it about 3 years ago. I haven't been back to England for two years, so I can't be imagining it:D

I always wondered what happened to that concept (the red & black one), that ,in my mind, was the perfect shape for the skyline, its definately the best looking after the R32, i cant beleive what Nissan are doing to the GTR name by seperating it from the skyline brand, they want to use the skyline name and make money by selling standard versions of it abroad as well as the new GTR by suiting foreign needs and specs. I think Nissan sold out, they should have kept the GTR & the 350z "rice" as people say it, they didnt have to adjust to make sales abroad, the fun out of having a skyline in this country was because it was different to what you could get here, Japanese performance is never gonna be the same, especially with the Supra dissapearing, anyone know whats happening? is there going to be a new supra?

Thats a bit better then the concept they were testing i thought skylines lost there look,s but good that is much more better looking then the concept.

I hope they use, the top one or the 2nd one.

Yes I have. That is the so called Factory tuned Nismo GT-R isn't it? I would so rather have one of the other concept drawings that I posted earlier, but I guess if we're going to get this car, let's go all out.

Hey chaser fan! buddy! pal! where did you get that pic?

From the Hong Kong Skyline Club website, you should check it out, GTR_guy, there's a few nice cars on there from my neck of the woods. Hong Kong maybe a small place but it has a lot nice cars for it's size (which is nice)...:)

*drool* vspec.....

I think nissans is the only company who would bother making a NISMO version of a car that hasn't even been built yet

SEE! It's a perfect family car!

I like the GT-R seem nice... i rather have the R33 or R34 tho... i dont really like the idea of having a v8 in a skyline but you know not many exotic sport cars has inline 6 or v6's so.... maybe they should have a 350-380hp TT I6 or V6 (rather have Inline lighter) and a 400+ V8... this should show how the japanese fair against domestic cars without a hp limit or agreement thing :D cant wait....

ROll

Just you. I think it's a more mainstream sharper design - good evolution there. Granted, this has no quoted source so I don't believe it, but whatever.

"mainstream sharper design"

IT was a sharper design when the SC430 and the 350Z had it..now the G35 and this alleged gtr has it..its not mainstream sharper design, it's running out of ideas
