R32's rock!!!
I would much rather have that then the R33, R34, or even the new R35. It's smaller, lighter, and just better. ;)

RB motoring is another company that sells skylines in the US. They legalize them through Motorex then sell them.

MotoRex's shipping/legalization cost's are the highest I've ever seen.

Most company's charge $12,000-15,000 for shipping AND legalization for an R32 Skyline. MotoRex charges $16,000 for legalization; and you still have to pay for shipping/bonds/lading and federal taxes.

Most companies as in Who? Yes you can get it shipped here but Motorex is the ONLY company that can legalize them. No other company has done the crash tests needed and I'm sure motorex wouldn't share it's methods of legalization. They also have to be registered as an importer with the Department of Transportation in order to be able to assign a vin number to it. I'm looking at the list but as far as I see motorex is the only one on it that does skylines. OMEGA skylines is full of crap they are not registered so the skyline is therefore not LEGAL meaning you can have fun crying when they take your car. RBmotoring DOES sell skylines but they PAY motorex to do the legalization so esentially you're still paying motorex.

I think the EASIEST way to avoid all of these stupid taxes is to have it shipped to mexico then drive it up through the US. Even if it is taxed in mexico it would still be cheaper than paying US import taxes. Then simply go to motorex and pay em the 16K+ to finish the job. atleast you save some money. Another point I'd like to bring up is that no matter what anyone tells you, you cannot own a skyline in Canada unless it is a "race only" vehicle so even if you owned one it would do you no good unless you live at the track...

The company I was using to find my vehicle is J's Garage in Shizuoka Japan. They in turn, use a company called Fuel Import's to handle the shipping of the car. The car's are shipped to Port Elizabeth in New Jersey, where the conversion is done.

I did not ask Yosi who does the conversion process for them, but I will.

Nice find with J's garage! I'll have to browse their selection when I have more time! whats the FOB price? becasue I saw a nice black R-34 for $39900 USD. that means even if motorex had to do the legalization it would still be *cheap*....well compared to other places. Another place you may want to check is prospec motor sports in the UK http://www.prospec-ms.co.uk/ they have a nice selection. Hopefully I will be able to purchase the NUR spec R34 but if not I'll be happy with a Vspec II :D

Found this on J's garage:

As you may know, all the Japanese specifications vehicles (JDM car) are Right Hand Drive. Unfortunately, it is hard to import JDM cars into the US at present except the 25 years or older model. It is because you have to obtain the approval from the DOT and the EPA in order to import the JDM car and it needs to legalize a car when it will reach to the US port.
Let me advise you that unless you wish to present crash test data for any Right Hand Drive car, it cannot legally be imported to the US. This is prohibitively expensive as a vehicle must be crashed to obtain the data, and we do not support the crash test data. Also the JDM car probably do not meet the US emission standard. And after 1996 models probably need to install the OBD2 system in order to pass the emission standard.

FUEL IMPORTS, LLC : Here you can find everything about the importing procedure of JDM cars. And we would be happy to support your importing procedure of the JDM cars, if you are considering to import the JDM car into the US. We can help your importing the JDM car. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
The importing cost depends on factors, but generally
