New Maintenance Notice- ? Fun to Come

lets just look at whats needs SERIOUS FIXING
- the 3rd person car glitch , makes the game UNPLAYABLE!
- online is broken as of now
- and a bunch of other minor tid bits that have been broken as well
we need a PATCH PATCH not a dlc patch ,

I know that, but lately when GT5 undergoes maintenance, they usually have an update usually 1-2 hours after the maintenance.

That has been the case recently but, if I recall, an update had been announced on them occasions (or at least PD giving a rough guideline to a future patch in GT news).

As there hasn't been even a hint of a patch as yet, I'd say its just server maintenance

I'm just asking for 2 things if this maintenance turns out to be an update:

- Fix the Chase cam!
- Fix the online bug, and improve online infrastructure!

That's all I ask for. I don't care about new cars, new tracks. Make the game playable first THEN content can be added.

Exactly, there is no tire wear issue. There is a "I overdrive my car in every turn and rag out my tires in 3 laps" issue, but that's a personal thing.

Maintenance is not an update.

Updates (2.xx) are updates and they're usualy properlly communicated in advance as "update" , maintenances are maintenances.

Expect regular OCD renewal and some new Seasonals at best.

But this is more of what they are goin to do(which is fine)

We just got new seasonals and an OCD Refresh so it makes absolutely no sense that they'd refresh it all again in a few days... That being said too, they'd usually wait till after the update (if there is one) to release new Seasonals and whatnot, but seeing we have new ones now, odds are its just maintenance...

Maintenance is usually maintenance as someone earlier stated.

Updating Hardware & infrastructure I would guess.

I highly doubt that the online problem would be fixed in this maintenance. Even if they are working on it, I would think it unlikely that it would be a simple fix. They aren't going to change one line of code and it will fix it.

That's not a glitch. They did that on purpose, and it makes the game easier to play because it makes it easier to judge when you're losing traction.

Do it daily, not just after updates. Especially if you grind seasonals, remote race, or race online a lot. All those things add to your cache.

That's not a glitch. They did that on purpose, and it makes the game easier to play because it makes it easier to judge when you're losing traction.

You misunderstood, since the 'dynamic' chase cam update, there has been a 'glitch' where the car jumps from left to right on long races with fast cars. (it usually takes about half an hour to start happening) It's the most off-putting thing ever! You can even see that the car is off center by looking where it lines up with the notches on the G-metre.

One good thing came of it (for me) ...I was forced to use the roof & interior views for the whole of the Nurb 24hr and realised I'm actually faster now

I need to go find a thread on the 'online bug' ...I only started playing online last week and it's been crashing fairly often.
