New Maintenance Notice- ? Fun to Come

One thing is for sure now more than ever, we are all anticipating the as of now hushed maintenance. What ever the out come of it, I'm sure that some of us will be happy and a few will be disapointed as usual. So until something gets leaked we will continue to guess until Monday.

It will probably just be to stop people accessing SSRx. :(

Hopefully it is to release 3.00, C-D & E Spec, patch the online, 22 new tracks, 227 completely new cars, full damage, working drag strip and a 'share a video' button.

Haha, when pigs and penguins fly my friend.

Isn't that the update with the Porsches and Huayra?

Pure speculation, You lot wind yourselfs up expecting all sorts and when it dont come you all be slagging the hell out of PD.
Threads like this should be banned Full stop.

Well, They told us to bring every 2 months a new DLC. So it can't be another DLC now, since the last DLC came out on 17th January, which was 2 weeks ago. It can only be an update / bugfix, nothing more, nothing less....

Well we also got one December 20th. So anything is possible.

Not even these patches ?

Guys, someone here has already said its not just GT5 thats going down for maintenance but every title in SCE's range.

http://community.eu.playstation.com...Saturday-6th/m-p/13397400?WT.mc_id=TSO_EN_103

Its just maintenance i'm afraid, so don't expect any patches/DLC

For me that link says 6th August 2011...
There will be scheduled Network Maintenance occuring on the server for all SCEE titles tomorrow Saturday 6th of August from 05.30AM- 10.30AM.

Please note for the duration of this period SCEE titles only will not be available online, and there may be additional downtime after for testing purposes.

This one says 2nd Febuary 2012
PSN Maintenance has been scheduled to take place this Thursday 2nd of February from 14.00PM until 08.00AM on Friday 3rd of February.

During the maintenance period, the following services will be affected:
•PS Store (PC and Console)
•Customer Account Management
•Registration

Which is still wrong, so....

Hopefully it is to release a complete track editor for the PC that allows to import circuits to the PS3. That includes being able to have total control over layouts, scenery, liveries and so on.
Also it should allow to share the tracks with everyone, not only people in your friend list.

The similarity between your and my post is that both things will never make it to the GT series or will take at least 10 years, whereas all that was already available in other games 10 years ago.

On a serious note, I don't expect content in this update and I don't think it'll fix the online lag bug completely. Actually I think updates in 2012 will not be even half as substantial as they were in 2011, and that's because PD focused on finishing the game and nowadays the game is more or less complete (considering that GT5's biggest issues came from being released 2 years before expected), that they had constant issues during 2011 so most probably PD already released all they had available for GT5 (company's restructure, earthquake and so on), and that's how DLC works.

You misunderstood, since the 'dynamic' chase cam update, there has been a 'glitch' where the car jumps from left to right on long races with fast cars. (it usually takes about half an hour to start happening) It's the most off-putting thing ever! You can even see that the car is off center by looking where it lines up with the notches on the G-metre.

I deeply wish this is fixed. It is bugging me so much!

As it was stated by Kazunori himself on twitter, we're going to have an update.

Let's hope they fix some of the stuff we need.

Once again I look forward to the little things PD fixes with their updates. The small details that aren't made known.

Speculation is rather pointless, but it is fun all the same. I think the key will be the size of any patch. If it is, like 32mb, it will be mainly minor bug fixes. If it is 200mb like some then we can get excited. Personally, I think it is just a minor bug patch.

I am starting to wonder whether because all the DLC is doing well there is more of an incentive to get the DLC out which might mean the plan is now to release new cars once a month, like they have done in December and January. And then add other tracks or whatever every few months when finished.

The once a month car release would also compete well with what is happening in another game which I don't have but which gets mentioned here often and is the main? competitor...

If not, then every 2 months would do me fine. I have my (just started) testing regime to keep me occupied while I wait including the Test Track tests...

GT5 the game that keeps on giving

Lol. Reminded me of smiling bob.

My fingers are crossed this update may fix the online bug(s). I'm not expecting it will be fixed but a lil bit of me hopes like hell it will.
