hey what's up, i just joined, i love playing gran turismo...i have the wheel for it and play on kai online. drifting is pretty cool and i've been wanting to try it. can't wait to play gt5 on ps3.

I guess you'd say I'm new to GT4 drifting. I never really got into it when the game came out, but I've been tooling around with it lately whenever I get bored of playing xbox360 games. I'm still not a big fan of the physics with a controller, but I don't have the cash to blow on a wheel right now. I have too many other bills to pay.

I saw that SD (Delphic Reason I believe is his Screen name now) is still around.

Actually, none of them are around. That includes DR (or SD as you remember him).

I'm doubtful that you'll remember me from GT3 though. I didn't start posting regularly until Fall '04, and I didnt post very much.

I just read about that. They are going to concentrate work on GT5. They are still gonna release some kind of demo GTHD, but only for download I read. Going to have to wait a long time till the next GT.

Via its Japanese website, Sony has announced that Gran Turismo HD will only be available as a downloadable demo from PlayStation Store and will not be released as a full product.

Polyphony’s CEO and producer of the GT series, Kazunori Yamaouchi says the company has decided to focus directly on Gran Turismo 5 while offering consumers a work-in-progress via the GT-HD Concept demo. That will be available for download in Japan on December 24.

He said, ““GT-HD Concept” features 10 cars, 1 course with 2 layouts, Time Attack and Drift Trial modes. It also delivers a full HD visual experience reinforced with the new engine being developed for GT5. It has no online support other than a network ranking. The online experience will come with GT5."

No date has been fixed for GT5, although Yamaouchi says there may be further Concept demos in the future. He says the decision was made in the aftermath of TGS. Demos at E3 last year failed to impress gathered journalists, and the future of Gran Turismo has been the subject of much speculation.

That is pretty much the same thing I read too, gonna have to wait till 2008 or something crazy. Sorry for being off topic.

Welcome Chow, you don't need a wheel to drift. A lot of people use the DS2 and drift just as well as people on the wheel. I have a wheel, but drift with the DS2. I just use the wheel when I race.

It takes like a race or two after the first two licenses

Is there fast way to make money?

Well... you could always find the easiest championship that gives you the most money and do it with the fastest car you have.... The only way to make money is to put time into playing the game.... But you wont be advancing in your career, because you will be re-doing the same race/championship over and over to make good money !

For example i like to do the All Japan GT Championship to make some money... It takes me around 1h15min to go through it. Make sure you get all golds you will earn in total 250K $ + a 350z concept (dont really remember wich 1 it is) wich is worth 268K$ so you make around 500K+ $ in less then one hour and a half !!!

hi! newbie here . i also drift at real life . i from malaysia . i mad bout drift . now i learning how to drift in gt4 . i got 1 opinion in my mind . what's the point drifting in gt4 ? it just for fun and didn't get any prize or medal . gt4 didn't have drift event . my friend bought hks hiper s15 400+ bhp and he drift in race event but lose because not enough power.ai just grip and need alot of power when in straight road.anyway,i still support gt4.cheers!

We drift in Gt4 for the fun and competition..but then again, some people do it because they think it will arouse them sexually( kidding?) anyways, welcome to GTP Gt4 Drifting forum, please fasten your seatbelts and read every sticking and AUP agreements and don't forget to use the search button.
