Hey i've been reading from GTP for a long time now.. and didn't join because i didn't really have the time too.. anyways i am close to being a novice drifter. if i do say so myself:sly: but i lack track knowledge, and well... vehicle knowledge (cornering speed *drifting*, how each car handles). Having raced one day on xlink kai with Beedizzle (yea i bet u guys knew em) i got hooked alot more than i originally did. I just joined so i could know more fellow drifters and get advice from veterans like you that way i may improve and have fun. (I'm 14 btw :dopey: ). Well thats a mouthful i said... yknow. it sux being a highschool freshman with strict ass parents.. i can't really play GT4 alot due to this.. sheesh.

drifter IRL, and GT4 as well. Used to drive a camaro Z28 IRL before I blew it sliding, working on another one now.

first post. I've been on this forum before for drift specs and the such, but decided to join to have a place to share my pics from GT4. I've learned alot just trying stuff out, and making my own settings for suspension and weight, etc. I'm into drifting in real-life as well, and used to slide a '95 Z28 until I blew the motor...working on another one soon. Here's some of the best, Enjoy.

Hello :) I've been looking at this drifting topic for one month now. but my controller got broken 2 weeks ago so I now that I got a new one, I wanna say hi.

The only time i've properly drifted was by accident when doing the pass mission on Trial Mountain in the Nissan 350Z, just before the corner in the tunnel the back of the car slid out onto the grass and i went round the corner sideways, lots of tire screeching.

Hey, I'm a IRL tuner working on an Evo 4 conversion, and learning to drift IRL, drifter in GT4 for a couple of months now, best drifting cars are the Blitz ER-34 and the Amuse S2000 SV. I'll post pics later

Hi, i've played all the GT games and only now have i decided to get into GT4 Drifting. I use a Sony Playstation 2 Dualshock 2 Controller. I am a pro at driving in GT4 using a DS2 (PS2 Controller) and have been trying a little but to no avail. Well i'm here to learn a few techniques and try and learn to drift.

Look foward to sliding around! :)

Hey, I'm new to the site and just started drifting in gt4 last night. My car of choice at the moment is my '88 IROC-Z Camaro and i'm using a DS2 controller.

Hello to all, I'm new here and to GT4. I had GT3 and played that one to death. I also had GT4 for about 6 months but never got into it because first I was away a lot... then I got a new PC game so...
Anyways, here's my setup:
My main car is Nissan 350Z Concept LM Race Car '02, it's good enogh for me, for now
completion: 8.9%
lisences: All except Super
A-Spec pts. 923

I haven't really gotten into drifting yet, but it seems very interesting. Something I will get into after a while. Also, I'm a very apprehensive driver, I've realized. I brake a lot in corners and rarely push my car in the corners. Any suggestions?

Hey guys. Ive been registered here for a couple months, ever since i got into drifting in gt4. I went looking online for guides to help me learn about the settings and techniques and what not and found this wonderful place. My real drifting name is SnakeBite but i registered as dark_drifter. I am tryin gto get either a logitech g25 or the dfp( most likely the dfp) but for now i have been drifting with the regular old ds2. I must say this site has helped me a great deal and i hope to get in on some competitions soon. I currently and drifting a nissan 240sx which is my all time favourite. the thing is that i am still getting a hand of the fr concept. my main choice for drifting right now is using AWD cars. i currently drift the nissan skyline(white with black hood), the subaru impreza, and the two mitsubishi lancer evos. My best car to drift with is the nissan skyline and the s40sx. Hope to see some of u guys around soon.

ello! i was hooked to drifting because of initial d so i tried it in gt4, tho i tried doing it in gt1 on ps1 because i like the way cars look while sliding on the track doing 80mph (tho most of the time i end up crashing on the wall). of course drifting stock cars, with aids on -which i knew nothing about before- was very difficult so, what better place to start looking for help than the official website?

as you may have guessed from my username, i use the rx-7 fc because it's the car of (for me) the second coolest character of initial d. i would have used an ae86, but it's so cliche hehe... (no offense :nervous: ). im still getting the hang of things because iv just been playing gt4 for less than a week.

Hey, I started drifting about a week ago and I'm hooked. I really like Camaro's in real and on GT, so I figured why not throw down some nice drifts in my Camaro Racecar fully modded and pushing 900+hp. This is a great website I'm glad that I wasn't only one who wanted to drift on GT4.

Thanks,
E.

and now the pictures,

wassup. i started off e-brake driftin' and i use the throttle to extend the drift (the throttle technique only works on high speed drifts). i drift with racin' tires and i couldn't feint feint drift with those tires. but i finally bought n1/n2/23 tires for my '99 s15 and i learned how to feint drift after a couple of laps at trial mountain. you can say that i combined feint drift and power over drift in order to do this (this may not be a true combination, i'm just describin' how i pulled off the drift).

i have a hks genki hyper silvia rs2 (d1gp) '04, silvia spec-r aero (s15) '99, rx-7 type r bathurst r (fd) '01, toyota supra rz '97 & sprinter trueno gt-apex (ae-86) shuichi shigeno version '00 set up to drift and i'm trying to get the c-west razo silvia (jgtc) '01 to drift right but it has to much grip right now.

i drift in motorland driving park, trial mountain, hong kong & special stage route 5 alot and i'm trying to get the tsukuba circuit and other courses down. i've recently started driftin' grand valley and apricot hill.

Hey, I'm a new member and drifter. I got started drifting when I saw the movie tokyo drift and started to drift in gt3. I decided to move over to gt4 but it is alot harder than I had thought. Im just gonna go read and hopefully learn how to drift on gt4.

Hi guys, I been registerd for a while but never really use this forum, only checked the news ^_^; oh well. I deleted my GT4 game, starting from scratch. I never really been a drifter, it was all about the grip racing. But I'm feeling the need to do something else. drift is mostly a freestyle racing, if I compare it to grip racing. So from today I'll be browsing this section alot. there seems to be alot to learn about it and I'll be 100% open minded. I hope to talk to most of you and chill out guys.

Hey everyone, just registered after browsing through alot of the forums. Been drifting in the 200sx '96 and S.S. Trueno. Will post some pics when I get around to it, later! :)

Hey PPL,

I'm Graeme from Scotland, Ive had GT4 for years now but i got sidetracked by Need for Speed releases and only recently started playing GT4 again when my mate mentioned he was playing it, which meant I had some times to beat!

I hadn't realised the GT4 game engine would allow drifting but soon realised when I made a mess of setting up my Spec C and started coming round corners sideways without even trying. Then I found the GT4 Drifting forum and here I am.

Still a beginner looking for the right car, watching drift videos and reading up on everyone else's experiences. (Hoping to snap up a Lotus Carlton as soon as one appears in the used cars).

My real car is a new seat leon, Pics Here for anyone thats interested.

I'll hopefully be able to contribute some settings once I have learnt a few tricks and experimented with the settings. I might post up my Spec C settings as they are quite good for a beginner just wanting to drift a little without spinning out all the time.

Hello to all new members and gl!👍

I am also pretty new to the forums,
I have completed GT4 70% now and have the F1 car - i don't think it's very good - idk y ppl rant and rave about it.

Anyway i haven't ever drifted on GT4 - didn't know u could so i'm going to such the forum for a bit and look for a good beginers car for drifting.

I'll probaly get the car with the most info on for beginers giving all the info on how to tune it :)

Well anyway great forum - i love GTP

All private emails welcome about the F1car + drifting

Ehm, hiya :)

Name's storky, i'm from belgium,

i just started to drift last night on GT4.

so far i can drift the Nismo 400R a little on trial mountain, except that it gets to much grip at the end of my drifts sometimes.

hi all I'm new here and this is only my second post.i thought I'd start off by showing you what i like doing in GT4: DRIFTING!!!!!!!

IMG0000.jpg

I've heard about this forum from a dude on a r/c car site i'm on, but just decided to register, and i'm really into drifting. I used to be preety good at it, but school got in the way. Now its summer, and I picked GT4 back up a few days ago to find out that i'm preety rusty, but I can still pull some o.k. drifts off. I also like drifting and racing weird cars...mainly because its funny..lol. I mean theres seriously nothing better than watching a Volvo 240GLT going sideways around a corner...
I'm not sure how active i'll be, but i'll be sure to post every once and a while.
