Will the new Nissan conform to the shape under the cover?

Now it's coming in July... Really!? They really like to make us wait, do they? Now I really wish we can have real cars for DLC if this is going to happen. Not even excited about this ugly car, it's 🤬 anyway.

They have a schedule that must be respected.

If this VGT becomes the GT-R circa 2020, then I'm not looking forward to the future.

It's a concept, it's made to see what people think of it. Since pretty much everyone here hates it I don't think the actual 2020 GTR will look like that. Then again I only have seen the opinions here.

I still like the looks and maintain that it would look much better in Black.

I agree with this bit.

I did a really quick edit in GIMP to make the car darker. Looks kinda better actually.

I find it funny that so many people are giving Nissan so much flack for this design when as far as I can tell, nobody ever praises Nissan for good design to being with.

"To begin with." ;) Also I always liked their design, especially the GT-R and 370Z.

That's why I said, hydrogen fuel cells and other power sources, the way hydrogen is procured and used in cars currently isn't working, but future research into hydrogen and other alternative fuels is definitely a good idea.
Carbon-neutral (or better) hydrocarbon fuels (think about it) will be viable before hydrogen used as a fuel for traditional combustion, or used in fuel cells (either requires infrastructure changes). Using hydrogen as a combustible material offers no efficiency advantage, so can be discounted immediately as a long term plan; the infrastructure issue makes it untenable for the short term, also.

"Other alternative fuels" is pretty broad, but maybe something will pop up. 👍

...

And while we're at it, we should get rid of the oceans, the major source of water vapour in the atmosphere.

I seriously doubt any number of cars burning hydrogen can even make a dent in the water vapour that's already generated daily from every source of open water on the planet. Not to mention that it seems to be self-regulating. Too much water in the air? Here comes the rain!

Come on, man. I know you're smarter than this.
The annual anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions (the carbon cycle is also a self-regulating system) are only about 1 thousandth of the total in the air (and less than a tenth of the total emissions and natural capture; the issue is really one of timescales). The water cycle superficially looks about an order of magnitude less sensitive in terms of the atmosphere, only, ignoring residence and condensation effects - anthropogenic sources of water vapour would still be a tenth of the total evaporation if hydrogen replaced hydrocarbons as fuel, doubling that particular source as it stands. "Oh no, here come the rains!" I wonder just what the effect of more rainfall might be? More soil erosion? Sounds useful.

This is a complex (chaotic) issue, so I'd prefer people follow the rigours of science rather than simplistic "OMG, there's so much more water in the oceans, lol, it's fine". Ignoring water vapour in the context of climate change (because it's so flaming complex), and relegating it to "weather" only, is criticised in terms of the accuracy of past climate change predictions, and hence our future. Then there are the knock-on effects and feedbacks to consider in that picture, too.

The only way you could call this 'delayed' is if you were foolish enough to think 'starting a new chapter' or 'will be revealed' means getting released in game.
If you set yourself up for a fall, then you've only yourself to blame.

Some people will find anything to moan about.
And apparently facts simply don't come into it.

Anyways, if this 🤬 box you call a car isn't paintable, than I'll hate it even and put it in my stockyard.

I'm glad it's delayed. Don't want this piece of 🤬 in my game!

Looks like some of us didn't like it very much isn't it? What can I see from this concept is how to captured variety of thinking and perspective about car design in the future. Or probably just to showcase the future of Nissan's "design language". For me, this car is not that so ugly but more like "unique" in it's way.

It may look bad but on a track it gonna be a monster it like Pablo picasso. It may look wird on the outside but on the inside it's a piece of art.

Should Nissan not be allowed to make a Vision GT car because you feel there are already too many in the game?

Well... yeah... I'd rather have an excavator in GT6 than another Nissan...

1. No it's not. We don't even know what it's like to drive yet aside from being ugly-ish.
2. It's a Nissan, FROM THE FUTURE.

Beauty is a matter of perspective, and for me, from every single angle, that Nissan is extremely ugly :yuck:

If that's the future, there's no reason to be hopeful, at all :ill:

Because:

1.- It's horrible
2.- It's a Nissan... ANOTHER NISSAN... :banghead:

1. I agree, it is horrible.
2. Not just another Nissan. It's the next GT-R for the future, ahhhhh!!!
This could take forever... But then we have to remember a quote from a long time ago that said "Beauty is in the eye of beholder";)
