That's the 'Forza leaving delayed GT5 in the dust' guy. Seems to me like he's trying to drive web traffic. Professional Troll?
This has been commented on a lot today in other topics. The first line explains it all.
but weve had an email from a reader we trust whos had some info from a bloke who knows this man whos a friend of a mate in Japan.
WTF?
What is that supposed to mean? I read that thread, just because it was negative towards GT and pointing out the obvious makes him a troll? And what on earth does directing web traffic mean? And directing it to where? And why post this on this thread? You're the troll! And I think you're disillusioned and paranoid too.![]()
I do not know even what that guy was saying.
I think he means the author.
TheSixAxisHe says he knows stuff about Gran Turismo 5, and via a complicated series of Chinese Whispers and a certain amount of interpretation we’ve managed to decrypt the following rumours:
So are those the whispers going around GTP?
WTF?

So let me get this straight... this same guy, who takes a sucker punch at Gran Turismo and preferring people get Forza 3 instead, has some interesting rumors for GT5. Who the bloody hell do this bloke think he is (pardon my British)? It's almost inexcuseable to make the kind of cheap shot that he made on GT5, then come along providing rumors. He must be more desperate for attention than me with my YouTube channel.
Some of the key talking points are things I'll mention in other threads. Not sure what to make of this guy.
What the hell?
A professional troll? Just being critical and speculating? I suppose that makes 99% of us on this site trolls, eh?
Of course he's trying to drive webtraffic... that's what you do when you have a website... try to post interesting stuff to drive traffic.
Nothing of what he posted seems utterly false or implausible.
All I meant is that I think this guy is writing 'controversial' stuff, to generate more traffic for his web site, and it seems to be working. That makes his advertisers happy, and that make his wallet happy. Now can you see why it might be beneficial for him to post the juiciest of rumours? Don't believe him, because he may have alterior motives.
Yes, driving web traffic is a goal, but the ends don't justify the means. Throwing out the reddest of red meat for rumours like that just strikes me as a dishonest attempt to do just one thing, and that's increase web hits. He's not trying to give us an inside scoop, he's sitting in his chair laughing at the web traffic he's getting. If he is lying, trolling the GT community, to generate web revenue, then that makes him a professional.
You're kidding yourself if you think every article posted on the internet is done so with honest intentions of being informative. There are those who will post anything to get web traffic, and I think this one smells funny. I share my thoughts so at least people will keep that in mind when reading it.
...Here’s a disclaimer for you: all or none of this could turn out to be true, but we’ve had an email from a reader we trust who’s had some info from a bloke who knows this man who’s a friend of a mate in Japan. Seriously. This mate? He says he knows stuff about Gran Turismo 5, and via a complicated series of Chinese Whispers and a certain amount of interpretation we’ve managed to decrypt the following rumours:
I don't actually believe that all articles posted are merely to be informative... but generating interest... that's what you're supposed to do as a webmaster or contributor to a website. Speculative and opinion articles are thus.
A troll, on the other hand, uses false information to incite arguments. There's a big difference.
Call him inaccurate, call him controversial... but he's not a troll.
Hell... I don't even see what's terribly wrong with his "Forza3 leaving GT5" article... a lot of speculation, but nothing that comes across as outright bashing.
lol Cobra...MI6!
Well the rumours did mention something about decryption....
Hold on...I'll just consult 007, see what he has to say about this recent intel that has been brought to the attention of the GTPlanet community.
One moment please...
