That's the 'Forza leaving delayed GT5 in the dust' guy. Seems to me like he's trying to drive web traffic. Professional Troll?

Awesome if true, but I'm not too confident on it. On the other hand, adding more stuff because of the added time they got does make sense.

I really wonder how they modeled the sls and the 458 so fast.

Well if the contract expires for ea in January then yes Porsche has a good chance.

This has been commented on a lot today in other topics. The first line explains it all.

but we’ve had an email from a reader we trust who’s had some info from a bloke who knows this man who’s a friend of a mate in Japan.

WTF?:odd:

What is that supposed to mean? I read that thread, just because it was negative towards GT and pointing out the obvious makes him a troll? And what on earth does directing web traffic mean? And directing it to where? And why post this on this thread? You're the troll! And I think you're disillusioned and paranoid too.:yuck:

Yeah, my B.S. detector is going crazy. Certainly wouldn't mind if any or all items were true, though.

I do not know even what that guy was saying.

I think he means the author.

So strange, maybe there is some history between the two.

I read the link and I am very hopeful. Don't need people like him raining on my parade. And believe me, if Porsche make it into GT5 and we get a full damage deformation system for all cars, there will be a GT parade in Auckland. I'll be there with all kinds of banners and stuff.

Is there anyway the source can be more un-relieable? Seriously. However i like those rumours (if the mail from the bloke who had a friend who had a mate who had a bla, bla, bla...is actually true). The "20 World Locations" thing is something i had thought about a while ago, and its fine for me seeing things going to that direction.

There's no reason for this rumours to be entirely fake...they look realistic but im still a bit distrustful. If only it had a good source...

Thanks for the scoop anyway :).

I won't cross my fingers but some of it makes sense. The Top Gear views i figured would be a must have and same with the PSP car transfers. Wouldn't make much sense for someone to have 800 cars on day one if you know what i mean.

What the hell?

A professional troll? Just being critical and speculating? I suppose that makes 99% of us on this site trolls, eh?

Of course he's trying to drive webtraffic... that's what you do when you have a website... try to post interesting stuff to drive traffic.

Nothing of what he posted seems utterly false or implausible.

He says he knows stuff about Gran Turismo 5, and via a complicated series of Chinese Whispers and a certain amount of interpretation we’ve managed to decrypt the following rumours:

So are those the whispers going around GTP?

I knew GT5 will have Porsche cars eventualy, but thats my thoughts.. lets see some confirmation from PD

All I meant is that I think this guy is writing 'controversial' stuff, to generate more traffic for his web site, and it seems to be working. That makes his advertisers happy, and that make his wallet happy. Now can you see why it might be beneficial for him to post the juiciest of rumours? Don't believe him, because he may have alterior motives.

lol it would be awesome if in the top gear track in the replay you hear Jeremy Clarkson saying stuff like "Oh wow loads of understeer there" or "into the first corner rather vigorously". Lol....dreams on....

So let me get this straight... this same guy, who takes a sucker punch at Gran Turismo and preferring people get Forza 3 instead, has some interesting rumors for GT5. Who the bloody hell do this bloke think he is (pardon my British)? It's almost inexcuseable to make the kind of cheap shot that he made on GT5, then come along providing rumors. He must be more desperate for attention than me with my YouTube channel.

Some of the key talking points are things I'll mention in other threads. Not sure what to make of this guy.

He's paid to be a professional troll.. Don't take any of what he says seriously.

Yes, driving web traffic is a goal, but the ends don't justify the means. Throwing out the reddest of red meat for rumours like that just strikes me as a dishonest attempt to do just one thing, and that's increase web hits. He's not trying to give us an inside scoop, he's sitting in his chair laughing at the web traffic he's getting. If he is lying, trolling the GT community, to generate web revenue, then that makes him a professional.

You're kidding yourself if you think every article posted on the internet is done so with honest intentions of being informative. There are those who will post anything to get web traffic, and I think this one smells funny. I share my thoughts so at least people will keep that in mind when reading it.

Exactly, that's precisely what the guy over at the sixth axis is doing. Really people, don't get your hopes up about anything written in that article, I guarantee he just made that stuff up 5 minutes before posting it. It's just designed to get traffic for his website to generate revenue. The sixth axis does this a lot, posting rubbish rumour articles on N4G to rake in advertisement cash.

I don't actually believe that all articles posted are merely to be informative... but generating interest... that's what you're supposed to do as a webmaster or contributor to a website. Speculative and opinion articles are thus.

A troll, on the other hand, uses false information to incite arguments. There's a big difference.

Call him inaccurate, call him controversial... but he's not a troll.

Hell... I don't even see what's terribly wrong with his "Forza3 leaving GT5" article... a lot of speculation, but nothing that comes across as outright bashing.

Here’s a disclaimer for you: all or none of this could turn out to be true, but we’ve had an email from a reader we trust who’s had some info from a bloke who knows this man who’s a friend of a mate in Japan. Hahaaaaaaaaa!!!:lol::lol:

Those rumours are nice rumours, but don't take it serious everyone...treat those rumours like posts in the wishlist thread....unlikely to happen, but hey there's no harm in dreaming.....or posting rumours.:D:tup:

If he's deliberately using false information (which is what I think he's doing), then that makes him a troll, by your definition. Doing so for $$$s instead of lols, makes him a professional.... if you want to get in to the semantics of it...

But, my comment was more my opinion of the writer. The one article may not be so bad, but now this has me questioning his motives. After TGS, an article slamming PD was easy fodder, and now he's getting in on the biggest of rumours (all of them)? There's a pattern developing, and it consists of him saying anything to get noticed. I don't like it.

I could be wrong, he could be telling the truth, but I have my doubts, and recommend you do to. I would also take anything else this guy writes in the future, with a grain of salt.

Look at how long the 10,000 car list fiasco lasted, and all that was was one website, trying to attract web hits.

OMG! Here we go with the conspiracy theories. Why can't it just be good news? Why can't we just be hopeful it's true and be excited. You all moan about him posting something negative about GT5 now you moan at him for posting something positive. Make your mind up.

And what on earth is a professional troll? I'm assuming you're imagining this or does such a thing exist? You all sound like you should work for bloody MI6.

lol Cobra...MI6!:D
Well the rumours did mention something about decryption....
Hold on...I'll just consult 007, see what he has to say about this recent intel that has been brought to the attention of the GTPlanet community.
One moment please...
