I just won at Cape Ring using the Camaro IROC-Z concept...Detuned to 188hp and 415pp...Won by 4.228 secs over the Ford GT '05. I think with some patience I may get that pp number under 400 and still take the podium's top tier...:)

With RS tyres ?

I won them all in my newly obtained SRT-4. Pretty funny really a cheezy little 4 banger sport compact doing 200+ MPH around Daytona. The hardest was Tokyo... I guess they don't like the little SRT-4 there in Japan... :)

I always do these in stock cars. Best I've got so far is second in every one all tried in Viper ACR and Saleen S7. With no ABS though I can't race, my car pulls and hits anything infront everytime, I can't avoid a single car now which annoys me frankly.

Does everyone tune their car for these or do some people out there stick with stock?

EDIT: Actually I've got a racing exhaust on (which sounds sweeeet!) so I have 594pp which is more. Don't want to change tyres...hmmm.

I found out the Cape Ring event is the highest-paying event. Racing my tuned Ford GT, Cape Ring Periphery can be pretty insane to race once you go over that hill and doggone near fear for your life after flying into the air. The event pays a little more than the Eifel Circuit event. I may race the Cape Ring Periphery event more for getting money. Because I usually like having equal numbers of suits and helmets, I may race both Cape Ring Periphery and Eifel Circuit equally for money. Doing four races is an easy estimated 1.6M Credits with 200% for victory in all four races.

Now try winning on Sports Tires:P

Used My 00 Mustang SVT Cobra fully modded it was like 590pp..Was cake, but had to be careful not to overpower the car out of the turns.Love that car, I got it set up perfect, finally got a chance to use it in an event.

Has anyone won Tokyo with a completely stock Viper ACR or ZR1 on sports hard tires? I won Daytona and Eifel super easily, Cape Ring a few attempts and Laguna was difficult but I'm not a big fan of the track. I'm just not even close on Tokyo, best 3rd and 10 seconds back. Very frustrating ... I guess 2 seconds a lap is doable.

Save some money and get the 09 ZRI and put Racing Modifications on it.

Agreed; the ZR1 has great performance/price value (and is quite nice to drive).

@Gtracer123: But wait with the Race Mod until after the seasonal, as you can't enter with a RM'ed car IIRC.

Daytona isn't too bad just use the driving line as a guide and well, ignore it. When it says to brake, don't. You only need to come off the gas entering the turns, and take the banked turns lower than the driving line suggests, it's too high. Keep it just on the edge of grip throughout and you shouldn't have too many problems. Keep your steering movements smooth and small, any large movement of the wheel takes chunks of time and speed off. Racing these cars on this track is much easier than NASCAR believe me.

You do not need to let off the gas at all at Daytona, that is just silly. I use a Camaro Z28 and win easily. I have drove Daytona in every muscle car there is and never had to let off the gas, at all. If your having to let off the gas, its your setup. Raise your ride height. Remember, this track produces extreme amounts of downforce in the banked corners causing your car to bottom out if the ride height is set too low, thereby causing your car to push. This track is just as easy to drive with most any other car as it is with a NASCAR car. Proper setup + proper line = easy drive. I have probably logged more miles at this track than most so yes, this is advice comes from experience, not just talking out my arse.

The Cien at 600PP on sport hard tires is a hoot! Easy wins in all events.

And it even has shiny chrome wheels.

Comfortably the fastest car for this seasonal event. Lapped a minimum of 3 cars on every track.

Just did the cape ring track in a Ford Ka @ 450pp! :) won by about 5 seconds, but that was the best race against the AI I've had in a while 👍

This is a glitch! No way the Ford Ka is an American car.:sly:

If I were you I'd get any of the premium Dodge Vipers... (Viper fan here :) )

Or if you want to go for a challenge, get any of the old muscle cars of the OCD, install a racing tranny, do weight reduction 1 and 2, get some sport soft tires and give it a go :) Should be hard but fun ;)

Not as big a fan as me I bet! :)
Anyway, I tried the 2nd course with a stock standard Viper, no assists, comfort hard tyres and man I couldn't catch the Ford GT no stripe at all. Thought I'd try with racing soft just to see what the difference is and wow, until you drive 1 after the other you just don't realize how much extra grip you get, I was able to beat my lap times by 12+ seconds and pass the Ford GT on the 2nd lap!
