Yes, that is correct. Thank you. Sorry for my self-induced confusion. You might find that is a permanent state in my aged, slightly befuddled brain.

👍 You might want to change your profile details on this forum where you enter your "PS3 Network Gamer ID" and enter GTP_Jester as people will get as confused as you. It's currently listed as GTP_F1Jester.

Hi everyone! It's been far too long, I've finally decided to join GTP... I am a clean racer with an appetite for all types of driving and racing. I do struggle a bit for time, due to work and family commitments. I am online weeknights from 7:00 till 9:00. The some late nights up to 2 or 3 AM. Weekends I'm just a late night racer on about 11 or 12 till whenever I get too tired! Are there any good competitive races/series that you recommend that fit my schedule?

Thanks

Phillie.

Hi everyone, not sure if anyone remembers me, but I'd like to rejoin but not sure what all I need to do. I traded my ps3 off awhile back and sold my wheel because I thought kart racing would keep me occupied, and it has, but I missed racing on gt5 so bad I bought everything back I needed to get back to racing against you guys. do I need to do the qualifier again? just let me know, can't wait to start racing and trying to beat you guys. thanks.

The weekly race series (based on the weekly time trial) is on Wednesday evening. Practice starts at 9:00pm eastern, race starts at 10:00. That might work, if you can move your weekday time slot by an hour. The weekend races seem to be set for the afternoon to accommodate both European and North American members.

I certainly remember you from my first days in the WRS. Some pretty close trials back in May-July of 2011 (this one in particular). Welcome back!

You don't have to re-qualify as you're still listed in the registry. If you want to run the offline time trials there is absolutely nothing you need to do, just have at it.

If you want to race with us online see here (starting with step #2 since #1 is taken care of for you already):

So you want to race online in an official WRS-Online Event? Great, follow these steps:

  1. Join the Official GTP_Registry
    • If you are not listed in the official registry you must submit your qualifier before proceeding to step 2.
    • See the GTP_Registry Qualifier - GT5 for complete instructions on how to run and submit your registry qualifier.
    • Once your registry qualifier is submitted and processed you be listed in the registry with a division and handicap and you can proceed to step 2.
  2. Fill out the 3D3 Racing Online Driver Database Entry Form
  3. Send a PSN friend request from your GTP tag PSN account to each of our private lounge accounts: GTP_3D3Racing, GTP_3D3_A, GTP_3D3_B
  4. Review the GTP OLR Rules & Guidelines
  5. Check the individual event threads and join us for practices and races and have fun. 👍 (each event will have it's own google registration form -- see individual event thread for details):

:-) great, I remember you too, I see you have made it to Div 2! nice. I ran a few laps and I can tell it will take me some time to get back to where I was. Hopefully it won't take too long though. :-)

I don't run many time trials these days so haven't really touched my handicap for a year or so... If you want to beat me again it'll have to be online most likely. :sly: Although you'll have to wait until I return later in July.

Hey, as gman already mentioned, the weekly races are every wednesday. We had a free practice session on tuesday starting at 8pm and so stay as long as you like. The race on wednesdays are designed to last just under an hour, and racing starts at 8pm, (lobby is open from ~7pm) so that should work out just about perfect for you!

For all our other online events, just browse in this area and see if anything suits your fancy/schedule

The weekly Time Trials are open for the whole week, every week, so you can do those in your own time as you please so that of course is another option.

I watched Phillie the other day in the rain race and very impressive first drive in the WRS scoring a podium and tracking PASM turn for turn for a few laps. 👍 Looking forward to returning in 2 weeks and making those podiums harder to come by. :sly: A bit sad to miss that FTO though by one week. :boggled:
