New to the GTP_WRS? Introduce yourself

Hi guys,

Just about to create new GTP_ PSNID and start leveling up the new account just had a few questions:

- Can I assume the Qualifier won't change, i.e. I can do it now and just submit my saved replay when it re-opens for submissions?

- I read that it's a no no to discuss the actual sector or lap times. Is there however a guideline to what divisions your times are in. e.g. Div1 Gold Times between X:00 and Y:00, Div1 Silver time between A:00 and B:00 etc? Just wondering how to guage what your target time is for the qulaifier. I assume you need to get gold prize to be in the top divisions anyway :)

Hi yes you can run the quali as much as you like, just stick to the rules of WRS-OLR you will not go far wrong.

With your placing of divisions dont worry about it, just do your best in the quali and the rest will take care of it's self. 👍

My question was not so much about how many times I could run the qualifier, but more can I assume when it re-opens it will be the same qualifier format. i.e. AMG Intermediate@Nurburgring with AMG SLS '10. Would hate to find out it changed to another track/car combo when it re-opens after putting in a big effort :)

Is that a safe assumption to make?

The qualifier will remain unchanged, and the registry should re-open this week.
 
G'day all,
I am completely new to this whole PS3 thing but have been convinced by the guys at work to get on it so here i am keen to give these time trial races a go.

You're able to make cars from your normal account available to your GTP account, by sharing them online.

We'll go back to some GT Mode races in the future. The alternative is to run some of the seasonal events to build up some quick cash and Experience Points. We'll continue to keep the selected cars as premium and reasonably priced in the short term.

A couple of questions:

The qualifier is now open, but when will it close?

We are to run our qualifying time in a tuned SLS. Obviously we're restricted to the tyres as specified in the details, but are all other tuning parts OK? What about aero parts?

Welcome to the WRS.:)

The qualifier won't close. It's open untill we run the WRS in GT6.
You can't tune the SLS other than TSC, ABS, brake balance, etc....

Thanks for the quick reply. Still a bit confused about the tuning though - the Qualifier thread states the car as "Mercedes SLS AMG '10/Tuned". This isn't a model in it's own right as far as I am aware? Am I missing something?

Hi! Welcome to WRS! 👍

You need to run the qualifier in the special events area within GT Life. Here you can not tube the car, apart from TCS etc...

You have to do the special event AMG academy intemediate sector 2 and 3. There you can not tune the SLS AMG. The car is already pre-tuned.
Ahh well, tree'd by munch.
 
Welcome all new GTP members :) Hopefully we'll get more members who are motivated to run WRS every week to keep the numbers and competition fierce 👍
 
well, i'm gonna give it a go too, tomorrow i'll create my new acount and level up to start my qualification.
hopefully i'll be competing with you all next week, well i'm gonna try my best to be some kind of competition :D
 
Missed this first time around, but I'm ready to go this time. The seasonal bonus races (Micra and Civic) got me to lvl14 in 15 minutes so I'm good to go.

Div 5 here I come :D

Levelling up a second account is something I hadn't considered - is it not possible to copy your saved game from your first account on to your second account and go from there?

There are currently no bonus races available so it's going to be a bit of a faff otherwise!

You have to run AMG academy intermediate. That will unlock at level 12.

Times submitted, hopefully not too slow. There's no 157% rule or anything like that is there :)

Haven't done a 'hello' in here yet so guess I should! ;)

I qualified initially when the WRS was announced and then had no time to do the first 2 events, the 3rd one I messed up by using the wrong account so I'm forced to take a DQ - finally got my act together for number 4 though. Don't even know which division I'm in....think it's Div 3, but dunno how the gold/silver/bronze works! Better late than never and I can see from split times that there is stiff competition wherever you look, which is fantastic :D

Looking to participate and compete through the rest of the remaining events.
