GTP_BlacqueJack's crew watching qualifying times :)

Hi, Ken here; AKA GTP_BlacqueJack; raced online with GT5Prologue, but never the WRS.

Decided I would give it a go to see if and when I can improve my Division 4 Bronze placing đź‘Ť

Thx. My psn is rastaflex ... Aspec: level 35... B spec: level 40... over 600 cars in garage

I notice the qualifier thread says "closed". So can we still submit qualifying times, or what's going on?

You can submit a qualifying time, but it will not be processed until the registry reopens (sometime in March).

What's up I'm SKOT_FREE. I basically like tuning and racing Japanese imports mostly, at least so far. I'm pretty much taking my time with GT5. Currently I'm perfecting my Drift technique. Since the update I made a Tokyo Bay drift course, ya needs to check it out it's pretty good. See ya online! Peace

Hi everyboby. Well, I`m new here and hopefully at the right spot. I´m having a kind of hard time playing online. I usually dominate pole position and the excitement wears off after 3 or 4 races. I´m looking for new challenge and thought I sould say hallo. Hallo^^

'Sup everyone! :)
Just finished creating my GTP_PSN account and now I'm waiting for the qualifier to re-open.
I'm quite excited and really looking forward to participate in this league.

Greetings,
Dio

Hello All!! I am planning to join WRS when the qualifier reopens, but wanted to introduce myself. I have lurked around GT Planet for years, participated some in GT3 WRS, had a new baby during GT4 so wasn't active on the site or WRS, got my PS3 for Christmas and a shiny copy of GT5 huzzah!! So, look forward to some good times with fellow GTP'rs again.

Hi!

I´m playing GT5 since release date. (Best racing game ever!!!)

Now I want to take place in the popular WRS.

I think the people in WRS are also racing fans like me and we´ll have a lot of fun together.

At last I´ve a question about registration:

I made a new PSN-ID with GTP in front of my name. Is that correct, that now I´ve only to wait till I´m registered by the WRS-Team? (Will they contact me?)

Thanks for your attention,
Yours GTP_Dr.Lexus

Hi!
Registed a GTP_ account today. Hoping the qualifier re-open soon.

Looking forward to getting my ass handed to me repeatedly.

No what is most likely to happen is a mod will open a thread called NEW WRS QUALIFIER or something like that and you will go there to see what is the qualifier, run it as fast as you can within the limits and then you will submit you time by following the instructions provided by the mod and then when you are approved, you can start racing. Like that it may seem complicated but you'll see all instructions are clear and you if you still have a question, the thread is there for that!

Almost correct đź‘Ť

The qualifier wont change, it will just be "re open" for new submissions.

So go and race the current WRS qualifier and get yourself a time, then once new entries are announced, you can submit them and you will be placed in a division and ready to go!

Hi to all,

I'm Rutger, I've been looking forward to GT5 since I finished GT4 a long time ago. Now I would really like to see how I stack up to all the other racers on this forum. I hope the registry will open soon again, hope to see you all online as well.

Cheers,

Rutger

Thanks very much lapierre4 and Small_Fryz for responding!

Where can I find the "thread called NEW WRS QUALIFIER or something like that?
Fryz said that I should run the current WRS qualifier. But I thought I have to wait to reopen? Does it mean that I can run already the qualifier?
If yes, where can I log in or where I can start the qualifier race?

Some of you were laughing at me but I´m sorry, I´m an absolute nube! (and my english isn´t the best..)

Welcome to the WRS.

You can find all necessary information in this thread: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=153734
Please read through it carefully!!!
The qualifier is closed now, but you can still run it. You just can't submit untill it's open again.

Good luck.:)

Hi all.....Dan here....first run with GT and first GTP-WRS.

Found a home in D5 and it may be a long stay! :(

Hey there Dan, Chris here. đź‘Ť If that's your rig in the pic in your signature, I think I see your problem.... wheels on the chair and laminate flooring! How do you stay put when using the brakes? I also use a deskchair (at my desk) but its on carpet so doesn't roll away as badly as it could... but I still end up 6 - 10 inches further away during a session/race. But on a hard floor like that.. really, how are you not skidding around all over the place? :) Bolt yourself down mate and you'll probably start shooting up through the divisions. đź‘Ť

Lol, yeah, that would be a problem, but I have a box behind the chair that is wedged against the wall. And the tablemate is strapped to a couple of storage tubs wedged against a credenza. What can I say, it's a Man Cave. :)

Still, it is kind of shaky with no supports under the edge of the tablemate, which sometimes on turns moves sideways on the wood floor. Got to remedy that as the wife says I'm ruining the floor. Maybe Santa will be nice this year and put a Playseat or Vision Racer under the tree. đź’ˇ

Hehe, I'm hoping for similar for my birthday this year... preliminary negotiations have taken place with the missus (đź‘Ť) but further concessions are required (from me) before the deal is finalised :)

I totally understand as I will be doing a lot of that as well! :)

Hi guys,

Just about to create new GTP_ PSNID and start leveling up the new account just had a few questions:

- Can I assume the Qualifier won't change, i.e. I can do it now and just submit my saved replay when it re-opens for submissions?

- I read that it's a no no to discuss the actual sector or lap times. Is there however a guideline to what divisions your times are in. e.g. Div1 Gold Times between X:00 and Y:00, Div1 Silver time between A:00 and B:00 etc? Just wondering how to guage what your target time is for the qulaifier. I assume you need to get gold prize to be in the top divisions anyway :)

Let the fun begin!
