Hi all,

I'm Tim and this is my first experience of online racing/competition. I am really looking forward to being part of the WRS as it seems to be well set up and very fair. Good job admins!

One quick question about the signatures, what does the PAL/NTSC mean?

One quick question about the signatures, what does the PAL/NTSC mean?

The Version of the game you are using.

A broad answer:
North America run NTSC
Europe / Australia run PAL
Japan run NTSC-J

Few other different countries fall into one or the other but that usually covers most.

Ed here (GTP_Torquemada).

I'm looking forward to some races that aren't random public ones with 57 flavours of cars/tires and people ramming each other!

Hi - I was wondering if anyone can help me on how to send a PM to Vaxen in order to register and report times for the qualifier? All I see are various public/visitor message boxes. Thanks in advance.

Sorry you’ll have to forgive me I’m old, I should have made that section more clear.

Please follow the Explanation in post #3 by Vaxen to the letter as I believe it may be automated which needs to be on one line only.

Hi Folks, I am new to the GTP Forums. This is my first post (I think?) I have actually been a member for a while. I no longer own the Touareg.

What I am trying to do is become activated so that I can register with the GTP WRS. I saw somewhere that posting a message might be the way to do it.

Anyways, this is a great site helping to enjoy the GT game series including GT5. My home is Canada, my PSN handle is GTP_canracer11 or canracer11 before creating this new account. I am still struggling with the regular controller until I get a new wheel or might try my old DF Pro if I can find a suitable place for it. The coffee table was not working too well from what I remember.

I presently work in government as an accountant tax specialist, but my first full time job was at 15 years old as an apprentice with Alfa Romeo dealership in Amsterdam many years ago. My ambition was to become race driver! Oh well, it didn't happen. Cheers to all and happy racing.

Good god man, if you were to say you worked as an accountant for the tax office here in Australia at a BBQ or party you would be in for a very lonely evening/night. :sly:

Jokes aside welcome to you and all other new members (the more the merrier 👍) to the WRS, you'll find us all friendly and willing to help.

Just remember the most important rule.

Have fun and enjoy yourself. :)

Cheers Shaun.

Well I have to do sector 3.
Lucky I live in Australia and im 15 hours ahead so I can do it tomorrow morning.

You might want to check that.
The deadline for submission is 11:59 pm (GMT) Friday January 28th, 2011.
Depends where you live, if in Brisbane we are GMT +10 you have till 9:59am tomorrow morning.
If Sydney its GMT +11 so its 10:59am, or Perth is GMT + 8 so its 7:59am.

Hi boys and girls!

As I posted on WRS boards I'm new to GTP forums, new to WRS and new to playing with wheel.

I hope to go up the ranks throughout the season.

Best of luck to all!

Hi there. I am new to GTPlanet and hope to be a regular in the WRS. My name will be GTP_CursedGhost and hope to get some times in by today's deadline.

Best regards from Canada.

Hi, just trying to post in a thread to get activated and send Vaxen a PM with my times. Hope it's not too late. Figure I have an hour until Midnight GMT.

Can someone please approve my post im late for posting my qualification times.:guilty:

I doubt you are the only one, a friend of mine has the same issue, he posted and never got an approval in time to PM and submit his time, hopefully the admins will sort this out.

Yeah, you got a point there - not my wisest move. That's likely why I don't get out much. :dunce: No hard feelings... look forward to some good racing. You Aussies seem like a fun bunch. The rains and flooding in the news of late don't look like much fun though. Best regards. Larry

No problems mate it was all in jest. 👍

The floods arn't good though, personally I haven't been affected but I do have some friends who live in one of the worst affected areas, luckily they are on hill and didn't get flooded.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the WRS. I am excited for some close competion in whatever divison and medal I'm in. Good luck to everyone.

Hi everyone! Not exactly new to the WRS but it has been since GT4 since I've competed so there are a ton of new faces around here. Really proud to have qualified in division 1 and hope I can stick it out up there.

On a side note do any of you have a racing team with an opening? I'd love to be part of a GTP group who likes to race clean and who don't mind lending a hand in helping out their comrades. I'm expecting a tall order to stay up in D1 and I'm looking for a way to improve my skills.

Welcome to all the other new guys or returning guys from previous iterations of the GT WRS like myself.

Hi guys, I'm new to WRS, never done it before, but looking forward to the challenge! 👍

Qualified in Division 3 gold too! :D

Hi, I'm CarBastard. Or Alexander .

I've participated a while ago in the WRS but never really strived to get a lot of practice. With GT5 I've been able to get some quality seat time (and some new knowledge courtesy of the Apex book) and I've apparently improved my driving abilities.

I'm very proud of being in the division I am (I still think Vaxen or Sphinx made a mistake...) and I'm looking forward for some great competition both off and online with the quality of drivers known in GTP.

Happy racing everyone!!! If there's anything I can be helpful with, just let me know!
