Hey everyone new to GT5/PS3 looking forward to participating in the WRS soon.

Nice to see others coming to GT5 from Forza Motorsport. I just hope we can get into some lobbies ASAP.

Welcome to the WRS I think you will like it here, i'm glad during those xbox parties with you I managed to persuade you to buy a PS3 and give GT5 a go, by the looks of it you don't seem to be disappointed. Time will tell though as you have only just got the game 👍

Hey everyone new to GT5/PS3 looking forward to participating in the WRS soon.

Hopefully you are accepted onto the registry soon, we will then have something to talk about. We will be able to talk about car settings, split times and lines we are taking. With all the info put together surely one of us will be able to come up with some good times.

Have you submitted your Qualifier times yet ?

I'm hoping to be able to compete in next weeks Time Trial, hopefully you may have been accepted by then 👍

I just submitted my Qualifier times... I've been a long time (mostly lurking) member of GTPlanet and have played Gran Tursimo since GT3.

I'm looking forward to taking part in the WRS. I've read many of the WRS forum posts and the WRS community seems great!

Yep. The summer of 1987, and I went from Phoenix, AZ, to the middle of South Carolina. It took about ten days. Texas went pretty quick, though. A guy picked me up in Arizona and dropped me off in Arkansas. I just remember mile after mile after mile. That summer would make a good movie!

The sequel would be the trip I then had to make from South Carolina to Colorado. It's the only time I've ever had a Sheriff ask me to leave town!! In a very juvenile way, I remember that summer with nothing but fondness!!

Im Gus, GT gamer since GT1 in 98. Some of you may still be toddlers when I was toying around with GT High Speed Ring in PS1. GT2 pushed the PS1 limts with more cars and I thought that was it. Then came PS2 and GT3 ASpec( a Prologue came after that, too old to recall). Got married together with GT4. More races.. I used to have accidents just admiring the scenic views of El Capitan, lol.
Now it's PS3, a Prologue and GT5. You might think I can do low 6's in Nurb but on the contrary my times have slowed down over the years with age. Sucks! But who cares, I'll keep on driving all the way to GT100 (perhaps holographic 3D with body force feedback by then)!!

It's just a box with smilies you can use in your posts.
Some smilies (like the you pointed out) are more specific for GTPlanet itself.
I use it in my signature like you can see.

I think you'll find a lot of us here were playing GT1 and F1'97 on the old madcatz back then. But you are right, I probably run about as fast as a toddler now

El Capitan and Midfield were my favourite tracks of all the GT series.

You gotta be kidding, still waiting for that G27 Alan? I would be calling them everyday just to be a pain in their a**. Have they even shipped it yet, i.e. is it a logitech or Aussie Post issue?
