Hi everyone i'm looking forward to some good clean racing in this race series if i qualify :) I've probably met a few of you in online races on gt prologue and gt5 at some point in the past as i've met some great drivers who probably like to hang around here i'm guessing 👍

Good to see you all getting ready to participate, the more the better!
Make sure you give it your all in the qualifiers ;)

Great to see so many people entering the WRS's.
I'll try and make it this week 'cause I love that GT40 but I'm a bit busy with trading lately.
I'm going for everything there is to collect in this game. ;)

Hi there all I'm Twissy

Played GT5 Prologue quite abit and looking forward to joining in with some WRS races

Hi, my name is Chris, I'm from Australia. I signed up a couple of days ago and already entered some material in the Photomode Comps, I've been playing GT ever since the original and absolutely love it!
I'm interested in taking part in these WRS, but not quite sure on how to sign up

Basically you have to make a new PSN-account with GTP_ in front of it. Then you have to grab some EXP to get to level 16. You'll need to do that in order to do the qualifier which can be found here .

To get a good placement you'll have to put a good amount of hours in the qualifier. Once your satisfied with your time, you can submit your time to Vaxen.

Welcome to the WRS and good luck with the qualifier.

Sounds like fun! I might just watch from the sidelines for now and see how it all works, practice a bit more then give it the good old college try!

Hi all, just qualified and I can't wait to get started. :) I'm on holiday for a week but i'll start ASAP. 👍

Hello everybody. I just submitted my qualification times to Vaxen and will be joining you shortly.
I am a big fan of Gran Turismo and have been playing since the original GT(1)
I also race in the SSCS and Concours Club. Hope to make an impact soon(no pun intended). Cheers

Go for it, and welcome!

Just an additional note to follow on from w-g-e's sound advice - it may be worth not completely over-cooking the qualifier disproportionately by comparison to the time you can actually invest in a week. By way of example, I mean that if you spend several days working on it (having already perhaps invested some time in doing said Intermediate challenge), and can only find several hours for an average WRS challenge week, you might find it tricky to keep your handicap. Not that I would know anyone like that.

On the other hand, the work makes you better, and you certainly don't want it disproportionately the other way (which would be sandbagging), so it's a fine line.

They're great folks to learn from, here.

i just submitted my qualifier times. i often place top 20 or better in seasonal event TTs and twice ive placed top ten. idk if i can do that well at WRS tho. i cant see how im slow and how to go faster thru a replay. lol

ive played GT3 and GT4 to death on my PS2...id have quit playing GT5 after 2 weeks if it werent for the TTs. ive always loved tuning my cars in sweet specifically to a track and running the lowest possible time i could. i use to do it in super underpowered cars so at the end of a race id win by less than a second if i drove flawless. in GT games you always had to make it competitive yourself otherwise its to easy but they made GT5 the easist and most boring one ever.

oh one other thing im a DS3 driver and probably one of a handful who can drive clean and finish top ten in a seasonal event TT. the rest live in Japan.:)

Howdy WRS'ers, i'm Ben and i'm fairly new around here and having lots of fun in this series, can't wait to meet and have some friendly fender-bending sometime soon!

Thanks mate, looks like i'll be on the sidelines until Vaxen gets back on, I ain't been registered therefore can't submit times yet, ah well atleast I have one mighty quick Asparawhat Mazda haha.

You can run your times and compare to people on the leaderboard, it'll give you some insight to what you're up against.
