I've had the GTP tag on my PSN for a few months now and never got round to doing this qualifier. But after forsaking the DS3 for my G27 I decided to give it a go, submitted yesterday :) It's for the sake of racing online aswell as the WRS, so people can look me up in the registry. I know i'm not quite among the very top guys (yet :P), there is time to be found in all of my hotlaps that i'm just not capable of finding, but I hope whatever division i'm in I can compete at the top :D

Might give WRS 24 a go, see how I do.

Hi guys, DS3 user over here, looking to get in on the action at WRS soon, gonna start working on my Qualifier time in a few minutes, see if I can get into one of the high divisions. I doubt it though :P

Edit: Oh bugger, Playstation server is down so I can't make a new GTP PSN yet.

Make a new user profile on your PS3 and try to make a new PSN that way.

I'm there like a bear 👍 Just been doing some reading on the forum to aquaint myself on what to do

BTW - can i submit my qualifying times with my normal PSN ID and if i make the cut then only create a GTP ID?

You'll have to use your GTP account. Get it up to level 13 or something (seasonals) and you can do the AMG event.

So let me get my facts straight....to enter WRC you need to qualify first, and to qualify first you need to have a GTP username profile that is a level 13 or higher....? Oh and you need to post a time that is considered competitive to pass qualification?

The only reason you need lvl 13 on your GTP_tag account is to be able to do the Qualifier which is the AMG intermediate.
Your Qualifying time you send in to Vaxen is the best time you can do on the Qualifier. This means you reeeaaallly need to do your very best at it.

You don't need to post a time that will be considered competitive, you just need to do your best. Everyone who is eligible, meets requirements, and submits a clean lap is allowed in the WRS.

Hi GameKop, and welcome.

As others have said, you'll have to make a GTP_ tagged account in order to compete, and you'll have to use that account to run the qualifier and the events. One of the chief goals of the qualifier is to ensure that you are placed in a division where you'll be competitive, so put in enough time to ensure that your qualifying time is representative of the time and skill you can apply each week.

Also, please refrain from double posting. Use the "edit" function instead.

Thanks for the info guys i get it now!! Will get to work on this straight away :)

With the current seasonals getting to level 13 is pretty darn easy too. I think you can do it in one or two races. Just share a good car from your main account to the GTP_ account to win those races easily and earn the $$ and experience.

Personally I shared the 3 cars/setups from my main account for the Expert Seasonals (fiat, elise, wrx) and had fun beating them again with my GTP_ account. Got three extra car tickets in the process and worked on lines for those tracks... not the quickest way, but fun to revisit those anyway.

It's nice to bank a little cash in your GTP_ account also as some of the combos will include cars over $1M that you won't be able to gift from your main account (if you use the GTP_ account exclusively for WRS as I do). Do that cash grinding now before PD drops the payout of the seasonals back to their normal levels.

Been debating whether to participate for a while. Going to create new psn and try to qualify this weekend. Love racing with clean drivers. Sure there are plenty here. Hope to be racing soon.

Basically you have to make a new PSN-account with GTP_ in front of it. Then you have to grab some EXP to get to level 16. You'll need to do that in order to do the qualifier which can be found here .

To get a good placement you'll have to put a good amount of hours in the qualifier. Once your satisfied with your time, you can submit your time to Vaxen.

Welcome to the WRS and good luck with the qualifier.

the penny has just dropped!! i wondered why the really fast dudes have GTP in front of their names!

Haha, everyone can join in the WRS. No matter what your skill level is.👍

Are you supposed to run the sectors individually or as a complete lap? I'm sure thats a dumb question.

Run the 2 separate challenges. One for sector 2 and one for sector 3, in the Intermediate AMG special events area. No full lap for the qualifier.

Good luck! 👍

Hello everyone! I finally got around to submitting my qualifier. Look forward to participating in the WRS and making some new friends in the process. Just one question, how long on avearage does it take to find out my division placement?

I'd figure it takes about two weeks to be officially registered.
Feel free to participate in the current WRS.
Your splits won't make it to the leaderboard yet but you can compare the splits
and get an idea of where you belong.

Thank you for the quick response. I will take a look at this weeks event and give it a go.
