^^ My islander jokes have been deemed unfunny, by my wife, who spent the first 22 years of life on one.

Just set up my GTP account (after forgetting the email to an old one I used rarely for prologue...). New GTP account is GTP_Jambo_GT. Feel free to add me, my main account is full up!

Have been around here for years and have been playing GT since the very first. Haven't set a time yet, plan to do that tomorrow, but looming forward to taking part and give my daily sessions some more purpose!

About myself, I just finished a degree in programming and game design and will hopefully be working in a studio very soon if things go to plan. Am currently home in Northern Ireland but likely moving back to England soon.

Just sent my times in, have no idea how good they are, will find out soon hopefully. Am not really a time trialler, more of a racer so if you fancy some races add me :-)

Hi all...

Just wanted to introduce myself, as I now has become part of the WRS leaderboard, after todays revelation of new drivers by Vaxen. 👍
Sadly to say, just to find my self to be the slowest of the Danish drivers in the WRS :ouch:

Since the very first primitive game-consoles, back in the late 70's (yes, I am that old), I have always been fan of racing-games... Has since played a lot of different racing-games on PC's thru the times, and since our family bought our first PS2, and the GT4, I have loved the GT-series..
However, as my spot on the leaderboard show, I am surely not the quickest driver, but maybe the keenest and definitely trying to race clean and fair...

Now I just hope I will be allowed some quality-time in my playseat by my kids and wife, to be able to turn in some decent TT-results in the upcoming combos, so I hopefully can start to improve and move up on the leaderboard.

Looking forward to the challenges :)

Greetings guys 👍 You've just joined a great bunch of chaps - WRS is a great arena for sharing tips and tricks, techniques and setups. Best place to improve your skills and have a laugh (and drive you mad) at the same time.

Welcome newbie’s to driving 101, with all the skill around here your bound to learn the dark art of flying the iron or just be amazed by it. Even the toughest combos around here are fun and challenging, you’ll never regret applying your time to these endeavors.

Hi all,

Went ahead an submitted my qualifier after finding myself in a D3D race the other day. I'm 29 year old avid Moto GP & Formula 1 Fan, mechanical engineering student and club level corner worker locally. I really hope to learn a thing or two about some of these tracks from the "Aliens" here!

Welcome Beefa/Wafflepants/Commander Sparkly Pants. 👍

Looks like you're across the Sound from me, cool. Nice racing the other night.
You were right on my tail in that 2nd race. Tim (WRP001) and I spent 12hrs+ each on that WRS combo (Mini Me) back in week 21 (it was a 3 lapper, which is quite unusual for WRS events 👍). Just to give you an idea of how c-r-a-z-y  we are...

Welcome JamboGT, MikaelK, and kennyblanco too.

Hello guys! My name is Willie, I'm from the netherlands and just joined the forums today. Looking forward to some great races with you GTP guys and i really hope my controller skills can keep up lol, I'm still learning to race cleanly with all assists off..

Cheers!

Late intro here. I'm Darren. I play GT5 very regularly and I am a DS3 user. :banghead: Overall I am an average racer, as such I am prone to some mistakes. I drive with all assists off and AT, but this doesn't make me any slower. Looking forward to more races!! :)

Hi, many of you have seen me in the last week's thread , where i posted my splits.
Anyway, i'm saying i hi here too 👍

Hello everyone. Just submitted my gtp qualification times today so i hope that i will be joining the weekly time trial for real sometime soon.

Nice intro Jevrem and great job on the cockpit. Oh, to be young again. Hard to believe I turned 18 a quarter of a century ago. I don't really feel old until the guys I race against start spitting out their ages.

Here's the house I grew up in... a little "worse for the wear" now:

House? You were lucky lad - we had a cardboard box int' middle of street, not that I saw it much as I was working 26 hours a day downt' mines...

*best said with a Yorkshire accent :sly:*

Welcome to all

Hello all I have qualified in the Div 3 Silver class which suits me just fine from the practice and comparisons i have done recently :).
My name is Jonathon and I am 31 from a little village (30,000 people) in the South East of South Australia called Mt Gambier. I have been playing the Gran Turismo series since 1997 when i first laid eyes on it, bought a PS1 and GT a week later and have never really stopped. This will be my first opportunity to put my skills against others from around the world.
I have driven a friends 100cc Go-Kart around a local track for 5 or so laps many years ago and i can still remember the feeling of 100kph @16,500 rpm down the front straight with my butt just centimeters of the ground. Unfortunately i have never had the money to get my own to race so I make do with GT5 now.
In time I may be able to put away my trusty DS3 and use a wheel but my first priority is to get a decent net connection to take part in more GTP event that I can now.
I used to own a 1991 Honda Accord EXi with 4 wheel steering and it was a joy to drive up to about 180kph then the rear would become a little floaty and dangerous (4ws always active) after about 5 years the engine let go and i didn't have a place to store it so I had to let it go :(
I am hoping i can be competitive every week that i enter and will be trying my hardest to learn from you all in the friendly competitions.

Welcome Jonathan!

You came to the right place. There are many very fast drivers in this community that are more than willing to help out and also those that are eager to learn from others as well. The WRS is definitely the best value "driving academy" you'll find on the net. :sly:

Enjoy! And when you get that internet connection straightened out be sure to join us for our WRS-based 3D3 Online Racing series (see my sig)... there have been rumblings now and then about an AU slot, but they are looking for a few more regular drivers from the region first.

Welcome everyone. I just qualified for the series as a D4 / Silver (not that great).

the Ring is not one of my better tracks but I dont mind at all the start from the bottom approach. It helps me level my skills out better little by little.

I look forward to playing now that I am able to in the GTP_ tagged races!
