They don't start the race, they vjust create a room for drifters to hang around. Like drag rooms.

Thank god there's no points online...

Basically most people play online to tandem with other drivers (drift alongside each-other). As you get better that's probably all you'll want to do anyway.

yea good thing there aren't drift points in online lobby's, everyone would be using like TVR Cerbera speed 12's and like buick specials

sorry but that sucks, thats 1 up for forza = im gonna get flamed now arent i!?

SupraTT1 - they could make restrictions just like races...

I still love it though, some people were laughing their ass off at me gettting huge drifts in my white 87 lotus esprit, its awesome try it

Yes, yes you are going to get flamed. *hands flame shield*

Most people on this board don't drift for points. Even when they're on their own they'd generally use the free run option rather than drift mode. It doesn't help that the points system in the game is completely flawed.

Stick on a set of comfort hards, find someone with the same tires and tandem with them, trust me you'll have much more fun than you ever did scoring points. You'll never want to use the drift mode again.

I used to drift on Project Torque for fun (and money), then before own my GT5 i also drifted on Gran Turismo PSP a lot of months, where the payout was dependant of the drifting scores (same system than the GT5, besides there is no payout on GT5).

So it took some time to get used to drift on GT5 mostly for the drift performance. Today, looking back, i see that sometimes in other games i was used to "cheat" and do a lame line because the scoring and the payout would be better. So now im thankfull for not be any kind of mechanic to measure scores while im drifting online. Because at least will be no question of what im doing is the right thing, specialy based on a flawed system.
