Not able to access GT7 - PSN issue?

Website says 'the server' is operating normally.

So the game servers are required for playing the game, but if you want to use sport mode, PSN needs to be up? That makes sense I guess. I thought from what people were saying the game was bricked.

For the vast majority of us, the game is "totally bricked", and has been since last night. Cannot play/do anything in the World Map (other than the pointless "Offline Mode".

For the vast majority of us, the game is "totally bricked", and has been since last night. Cannot play/do anything in the World Map (other than the pointless "Offline Mode".

Yea, that's the irony of it. Even if the PD servers are working just fine, since GT7 is an online game only, if you can't log into PSN you're hosed. I tried to log in earlier and it's just as described above. I was unable to log into PSN, thus GT7 was essentially completely dead.

The game (or rather the whole PS online setup) needs the user to be signed in to PSN in order to access the game servers. So no PSN = no GT7 online.

Time to prepare for defense, kredit card access, change passwords, mails.
Last time that happend sony didnt tell anything..... and 80mio account data got robbed.

Not to derail, but was that you I was racing in that Daytona lobby yesterday? I was in the orange/black Viper.

Great race. I was so bummed to get that pen through the bus stop as it robbed me/us of what was likely to be a fun last couple of laps. The whole race led up to that ending but all for naught! Oh well. GGs.

Indeed, from my side, I couldn't even get into the main page for choosing between the normal gameplay and Music Rally. Just keeps on popping out the error message. I haven't tried switching my PS5 offline to see if I can access GT7's offline mode though.

At least my PS5 is allowing me to access my previously-downloaded PS Plus-locked games from the Game Catalogue during the last days of my Plus membership, so there is still some entertainment for me! :)

Hurting gamers isnt helpful.
There would be other ways to attack Sony without taking down the whole of the PSN - like enabling free PS+ on all accounts until someone recognizes the subscription revenue has dropped to zero and then this will be checked.

Just go and watch a movie on the theatres, eat in a restaurant, meet with friends and play some board games, read a book, train for the next local marathon...

Not really how it works for me. I do lots of different things during the day, but when I want to play GT7 I do not want to do something else. I need my GT fix before I can enjoy reading a book, for example. So as far as I’m concerned, the world has ended today. At this rate we might as well all lie down on the floor and play dead.

If you can't race today, no you won't be losing points. You won't be gaining any you might have gained.

Should you be somehow able to race and score points, we'll have to wait and see what PD's decision on what to do with the round will be in order to answer that.
 
not gaining means losing mate, I wanna know if race will be canceled and move forward to next track, I had a lot of advantage in daytona so I’m losing
 
16 hours offline now. That is the 3. longest downtime. Its DDoS time i gues...

1. 2011 PSN Hack and Outage (23 Days)
2. 2014 Christmas DDoS Attack ( 5 Days)
3. 2025 ........ 16 hours down now
4. 2016 Outage and DDoS ( 9 Hours)

And again, we can't answer that without a statement from Polyphony Digital. It seems likely that this round will count for people who could race but not for those who couldn't - but similarly PD could also just zero the round out for everyone and shift to a best two from three.
