There is no evidence of when the game actually went gold, or started pressing, this could of started last week, or even the week before that.

So who knows how far the game is away.

Where have you been dude every other game in history has been done this way. I work in the industry as well, i should know.

Then you know magazine reviews are written well in advance, and they aren't gonna wait 3 months for the game to be written about, to deliver it. And working at Game Stop isn't "working in the industry".

beside its also the quickest way to shut people up and to stop asking question, by saying its busy been pressed. For all we know the first printing might not have started yet. Let wait and see how accurate he was when he gives a release date.

Dont work at a gamestop. Stop looking for a fight child.

I think the paragraph has been badly formed, and people are mis-interpreting it. What Iwasthestig said is;

'There is no way they will use one factory for the whole world. Then we can expect the game around March [if they do use just one factory].'

Then he said;

'As to review copies they have to be sent out soon, giving the reviews enough time to play and write a review.'

Also, i don't think they have GameStops in South Africa...

Thank you, sorry dont read my post. Same as im busy with Black Ops before release.

on the 14th of october it was said that on the 13th they had missed their window of production by 3 days so taking the worst case scenario they were set to start production on 10th october set for a 2/5 november release. which would be about four weeks

I like your thinking, but I don't think it actually works like that. They missed their production window by 3 days, but that doesn't mean they just start printing 3 days later, since the BR-D printing machines are scheduled to print other things. When there is a break in the printing process (or they can squeeze some extra printing in??), then they would have started the printing process for GT5.

So really it could have started any time between 14th Oct (which i doubt because of the lack of communication even at Paris Games Week) and Yesterday.

..

This was my theory from a week ago regarding sending out the review copies...could turn out to be about right unless anyone knows any different.

As it stands there will be a genuine review in official playstation magazine on shelves Wednesday 24th November and as we know subscribers get it a few days early we can assume it will be posted Friday 19th November. I'll make a guess that the magazine has to be sent to the printers on Monday 15th November so the editor will have to sign it off on Friday 12th November. I'll make another assumption that it takes a week to play the game and write the review which means they would need to receive it on Friday 5th November. That means the review code disc would need to be dispatched around Wednesday 3rd November. That gives them a week from today to get the review code printed onto disc. Do you still think Kaz is still tweaking the game?

Interesting Idea:

Since the delay was announced on Oct 14, and the reason was missing the production window by 3 days, it would suggest that the original production would have started around Oct 11. This would have allowed enough time to release the game by Nov 2. This period is 21 Days.

This suggests to me that, since the game has currently been in production since Nov 2 (possibly started earlier), the game should be released by Nov 23 (possibly released earlier).

Does that make sense? or am I confused

And I hold on to March 2011, just so there is no way I'm gonna be disappointed again. :rolleyes:

Precisely.
Why didn't Kaz just say after telling us about pressed discs, that it could very well be within the first week of December....???????

Sony is planning on making announcement about the date so he'd let them do that.

[...] my pre-order was set & fully paid months and months ago so I should be all good (if not, I'll kill lots of people!). [...]

Same for me. I'm proud to have pre-ordered my Signature E. immediately as It was available for pre-order:D. I couldn't imagine other people playing while I have to wait for my copy to be stamped or shipped.:scared:

sorry thats notwhat im trying to say, i meant they only had 4 weeks originally to make the blu rays and get them on shelves and thats probably the case now aswell. so we might only have a 4 week wait, even if they only started yesterday

id say the time that was scheduled was taken up by something else that was further down the line and that has left time for GT5, i doubt the factory just shut down because GT5s alotted time was missed. again just optimism

i really think for sony's own sake theyll either have early december or just wait until the first few months of 2011. i really cant see them releasing late december
