When is the big presentation on the SEMA starting? Will there be any live coverage?

The entire show runs from 9 A.M to 5 P.M. pacific time today so it will start in about 2 hrs.I'm not sure if they have a set time for the awarding presentation . I don't know about the live coverage but maybe somewhere on the internet it might be streamed ..

hopefully they'll announce the release date tomorrow, or at least re-assure the production status of the game. I'm sure Kaz will be bombarded by the press/media tomorrow, and someone is bound to ask him anyway.

If what Jalopnik claimed is true, then there's a chance that the disc has already been in production for maybe a week(s) (or a couple days ago). It might explain why LBP2 is rumored to be delayed as Sony might have decided to pushed LBP2's production slot back for room for GT5.

If I remember correctly, LBP2 was pushed back before the delay of GT5 was announced. Now if it was pushed back for GT5 its because Sony/PD knew they wouldn't make the Nov 2 date, and just didn't tell the public, thus giving production time to GT5. I was looking forward in LBP2 myself so I was unhappy that it got pushed back. But I will happily accept it later for GT5 now.

Well, as long as they make mine......the rest of you can wait until they make yours :D

lol.

I don't care about reviews! :| I'd like to review it for myself.

that's what i'm talking about. regardless of what reviews say, everyone on this site will get the game anyways. even when reviews take place and the game is in stores, review sites and this site will be a ghost town, lol. i know i will be missing in action while i am on vacation for several days. only way i will be on here is if i am not in front of my ps3 w/gt5.

Precisely! Reviews are no concern of mine. My only concern is driving a Ferrari around the Ring.

From Jalopnik:

We did talk about a number of different topics other than the release — and we'll have more coming shortly — but for the moment, we thought we'd at least bring you that response.

Ok, so where's the rest of the info they talked about?

LOL! Once I get the game, I will also be absent on here for a couple weeks, except for when it is installing on my PS3, and I will probably come on here just to see what people have discovered, unless I get real interested in the Apex book while it is installing. 👍

Going from the (unfortunately time-limited) Best Buy demo with the 458 on the 'Ring, you're in for a lot of fun.

Uh, exactly where they said it is; coming shortly.

I don't know why everybody thinks this place'll be a ghost town; I imagine a ton of members will be active for various reasons. Posting every discovery they have (say, prize cars), posting about unknown cars as they're found, tips and tricks, online incidents... release days have more activity, if anything. I imagine the staff will have their work cut out for them with duplicate threads all over, too.

They are being made as we speak.

I've said it once, I'll say it again. We all go ****ing crazy over any little whiff of a release date of this game.

I didn't say it would be a ghost town. I agreed and said that I wouldn't be on here except while the required installing of GT5 is happening, so that I may find things that people have discovered. Did you read my whole post?

Oh, I didn't mean you did specifically, just speaking in general terms.

It comes up in the chatroom every once in a while too... just thought I'd mention it. I know I'll be around as often as I can when the game's in my PS3, if only because the PC and the PS3 are about 10ft apart!

it was in reference to me. it was figure of speech. if the game is out, in your hands, in your ps3 you mean to tell me your going to be posting instead of playing. sure once everyone gets along far enough they will be on here posting discoveries. but if your on here that takes away time you can be playing. you can post all you want, i will have my face buried it to my copy of gt5 and do what i can on my own. if i need help, then i will start posting again. my time is limited, i work 2 jobs 7 days a week. my free time will not be on here.

Ok, now I know who delays every GT game so far, it´s JORDAN :dopey:

It´s frustrating for an webmaster to loose all your traffic... Let´s say GTP gets 100.000 visitors a day and then after release maybe 10.000, that would be very frustrating for Jordan...

JOrdan will be busy playing as well,
we will come back here for tips and info, and competitions, and sharing frustrations...

As for the car I think Kaz will choose from the SEMA show

I think this is the one:

LSA - Erod Superperformance Grand Sport Coupe:

The only problem with this is Kaz can't be trusted. I'll believe it when I see it. And before you jump on me for saying that, ask yourself what precedent has been set telling you that you can trust him, or that this is the last delay.

So yeah, I'll believe it when I see it on the shelf.
