Rafael Sperafico was on Sunday killed at Interlagos, the home of the Brazilian F1 Grand Prix.

Sperafico, a 26-year-old Brazilian, died when his stock car was T-boned by a competitor in a fast corner during the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

He had just left the circuit and smashed into a tyre wall at high speed when his car, competing in the Brazilian Stock Car Light championship, bounced into the path of competitor Rentao Russo, who is reportedly in a serious but stable condition with head injuries.
Full story can be found by clicking here. It's truly a sad store about what happened to one of Brasil's racing stars.:(

I imagine where the crash happened was in the vicinity of the Pit Entrance. I'm thinking maybe it would be a good idea to move the entrance to Pit Lane at least maybe 75 meters from where it is currently. This way, no car would crash into it at full speed as they would be rounding the final turn.

First off, I didn't know Sperafico was Brazilian. I thought he was a kid from the American Midwest or something. Second off, he's very talented and had a long life ahead of him. This is truly sad. It's sad to have young talent with a bright future ahead of them... get killed. Brazil has been a talent pool in motorsports. A factory of quality racers and quality future racers. This is truly sad. I wish Sperafico's family and friends my deepest prayers.
