Next Gran Turismo Will be a 'Combination of Past, Present, and Future'

Truly don’t understand the obsession with the UCD. Hiding ~700 cars behind a stupid feature that requires hours / days of refreshing just to find one single car ... was GT5’s most annoying feature. Never again.
Heh, just a mere dealership full of used, standard cars. Aside from winning them in races, it's the only other way to acquire them. The ones in GT6 were a lot better, although admittedly, they looked boring.

I hope one day the GT2 racing modifications will return!!

Has to be the one of the most innovative features when it comes to racing games. Turning a normal car into its real life racing counterpart. Not many racing games were able to do that.
Hm...actually if you think about it, it's not much different from usual modifications of racing games, but Racing Modifications just instantly gives you all at once (sort of like "Quick Tune" of visual modification). You got bodykits, spoilers, rims, and liveries at once.

BTW, what I want for next GT is to turn all the fictional race cars (the Gr 3, Gr 4, etc. cars) as their stock car's Racing Modifications.

So
Past - Cars, tracks, tuning, features
Present - Graphic, physics, audio
Future - New content

So this is basically the only combination we need for a perfect GT: past (nostalgic tracks & cars from every old GT), present (current graphics of the generation it'll be released) & future (new tracks, cars and features always coming up). We all know PD has what it takes to make the game of the year, they just have to want it. If GT7 is really going to be like this, boy I can't even think of the selling numbers...
You forgot something for the "present"; GTS' online mode.

Well, GT5 one is annoying for sure, but did you know the UCD of all previous games? (Except GT3 which doesn't have it). Though I wonder if UCD is back, which year will it cover? Still 2000s below? extended to 2010s below?

whatever is that just hope kaz want get hand to hand with some other simulation racing like kunos or isi like how physic actually working. and more transparent about bop, penalty is general hope. I not wanting GT become pure simulation, GT fine as current place as bridge between pure sim and casual but at least MR must be drive like MR, FR like FR etc etc. And not too slippery for tire. This just my though anyway.

This is why I LOVE PD. The game has a soul, that I cant describe myself. Thank you for all these years PD team !
Would you say it has a... 5OUL ON D!SPLAY, then? Huehuehuehue... =P

On the article, btw, hmm, it still sounds like the next GT is still a ways off, then. We all know that Daiki Kasho was in the studio recently, making new music. Wonder what it could be for, then, if GT7 isn't releasing until late next year at the most? Hmm...

This is exactly what I was expecting for the next GT. I think PD realised it was a big mistake to remove the main attraction of GT which was career.

Just make sure it has dynamic time and weather. No excuses with next generation power at their disposal.
Not that GT4 has bad career, but I wanted some changes too, like for next GT to have as much as GT4 in number of events, but also deeper, like more motorsport aspects for the motorsport events (Super GT, Rally, etc.), like GT5 Special Events, but incorporate those to the main events, not separate from main events in "Special Events". Also give experience to all low, mid, and high end cars for the events, like drivetrain challenge (like GT2). And give the manufacturer events influence to the dealer.

Possibly any cars that are standard ones and obviously not the premium ones.

Didn't, what I want, as do many others is proper online mode with 30+ cars, multiclass racin, per car BoP settings with additional settings for what can be tuned, spectator (cam entries), and penalty system that works (with go through pit option) and many many more...

To have a HUGE cars number ofc :D

But they could bring back the Smatphone/Tablet APP to design tracks and then remove the online feautures so the app will be useless :D

Or they could get back the VGT program so when the following game will be out they can let the new GT game incomplete with "coming soon" cars like in GT6 :D

These feautures should be included in all GT games :D

Looking forward to seeing the return of this sweet model in GT7 :D

Please, I just ask two things:
1- Single Player. Single Player. Single Player.
2- Down with the "chase the rabbit events". Qualifying, longer races, I mean, like in real life? Real Simulator?
When they have Qualification on earlier games like GT1...Actually there's endurance races for long ones, they even get 24 hour full Le Mans. Another example is Suzuka 1000 km for Super GT.

So long as they keep forcing things upon players (by not giving us access to common sense options), & randomly dropping relied upon features between series, it doesn't really matter what they do regarding anything else IMHO. Between the unrealistic understeer vibration feature/bug, the ever-changing physics, & the awful FFB ect; they've already lost me & many others besides...

We tried but we couldn't find an AV/HDMI cable adapter in time :boggled: but we were pretty busy with N24h anyway.
A few people brought GT PSP and Kaz had a go.
Just tap up that nerd Famine who wrote the GTPEDIA book - he's got literally everything required to run every game from every region, on any TV, with a 100% gamesave for each, and it all goes into an easy-to-ship flight case.

(I could literally bring you a complete GT history in a case, consoles and all; I could even bring a complete [PAL-only] head-to-head GT4 LAN in a single box)

Bare GTSport (if you would be so kind, please add a Toyota MR2 MK3 for good measure, available in black ;) + complete game and online racing in VR = Back to good old days!

Hopefully this next Gran Turismo will actually be a complete game at launch and not a damn Live Service
this system not bad too, we not get any paywall for that (ok you can buy car on PS Store but not mandatory) like iRacing or Forza. And live service much fresher than we know at some reason rather than get 1000 car but no update and thing

I think their future is strongly dependant on GT Sport now.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I believe that GT Mode should just be left with good memories.
However, I do think they should release two GT games on the next console, a next generation of GT Sport 2 and a 'Gran Turismo remastered,' featuring all of the classic cars from the 50s to the early 2010s etc. I don't think a mix of the two works that well. GT Sport revealed the divide between the career players and serious online drivers, and releasing two separate games for each generation will satisfy both fanbases.

Although it does come with many issues, GT Sport has opened a door to those who don't have the funding and experience for serious sims like iRacing and Assetto Corsa. Plus, it has the potential to rival or at least be just behind them, particularly if PD release the game early enough before the PCs catch up to the end of the PS5's lifespan.

Im afraid you're in a minority, the majority of players of the game dont use online, im glad that we will get a mix of the old and new... Polyphony and kaz are great at listening to the fans of this series, its made with true dedication and is without doubt the best driving gameplay of all driving titles. Im really pleased with how the gameplay has evolved and that it has not become a dry sim title... Gameplay is paramount for long term enjoyment something assetto and iracing are fundamentally lacking in...

Should it be, GT Sport with previous GT's offline content?
Just give me GT4 or GT5 like campaign (license tests, special events, missions, etc) with Sport-like online racing (with reputation and everything) and I'll be a happy gamer. But under a condition it's delivered to me on day one, not "eventually" or in some future update

Buying a used rubbish starter car then building up from there has been one of my fave parts of the series, also the excitement of seeing what's in there after every few races/championships aswell, fair enough it doesn't suit everyone though as they may not have the time/patience.

For me GTS has fundamentally changed how I see and play racing games.

Racing against AI seems so arbitrary now. It is set up so you can win, and if you can't in one car another will do it, or you make some mods to beat people, or you learn the adaptive AI tricks, avoiding what triggers them to "cheat" by doing insane catch up and cornering speeds.

I want complex to drive cars that require certain techniques to get the most out of them. (Kaz speaking about the physics recently makes me worry the game won't move forward much here)
I want tracks that are great for racing on in technical terms, not just a wide variety of interesting looking locations to drive around until I get bored.

So many racing games including GT you enter, you win, you progress, you get new cars. Repeat.
GTS broke the cycle, I now prefer racing against humans even if they are better than me (They usually are better than me). It should be a racing sim, not an ego massaging sim!

How I wanted the GT of old when GTS was released. I picked it up 6 months later in a sale. Yet now I don't care about what is missing, sure add more tracks, more cars but what I want is more online modes, knockout competitions, leagues, types of racing. More ways of playing against people online. If they do that with a bunch of new content for GT7 they could make e̶v̶e̶r̶y̶o̶n̶e̶ most people happy.
