Happy Easter everyone ! I've indeed finished two walkthroughs now as intended, one with cars according to Nagano's randomizer, one with my current favorite swap monsters.
ROUND 1 - THE NORMAL ONE
The races at Eiger Nordwand and on the Nordschleife were quite a struggle, I didn't get to grips neither with the Peugeot nor with the Audi and needed 3 or 4 attempts at each event with a couple of restarts. No longish complaints now but let me say I found the Gr.3 AI horrible.
Well, none of these races were hard in any way of course but pure fun. My favorite maybe was piloting the monster van around GV. I had expected a better performance from the Cayman, however ... guess I should have kept in mind it remains a road car after all.
Eiger with stock black Peugeot 205 GTI from the used dealership on CS. 1st place +10 sec. Probably no need to even upgrade tyres. The race was super fun. Great layout, fun car.
Blue Moon with Godzila, a tunned R32 to match the iconic 'Calsonic' GTR monster. It was completely OP although I had to adjust the toe angle and drive wide lines because of it understeering so much. It was pretty fun too. 1st place +4 sec.
Next is Nürburgring endurance impersonating Kaz '11, wish me luck 🍀
Well I did the WC on Friday but I haven't been at my pc for a few days. I took the 908 to the Ring
It was a good race in that I only off track a few times I was able to do a no stop race and win fairly easy
Next I took my 2017 GTR to Blue Moon for an easy win. I didn't take a pic for some odd reason
Then of course the 205 to Eiger for a fun race. That track follows very well forward but not reverse. Some tracks don't need to go in reverse. Eiger is one of them.
Next I started to use the GTR again but I decided to pull a car out of the mothballs the Maserati MC20
I must say that GVS flows so much better in reverse than the normal way. To me I always felt like the original Grand Valley Speedway always seem to flow better in reverse moreso than the normal way.
Finally I wanted to use the latest Civic but I didn't see as available so i used the 15 Civic R in the race for the final win.
I got a 6 * ticket and got 1 million cr from it! So I had a nice takeaway for this week's challenge
This week went fairly easy with no issues other than the behavior of the AI.
For race 1 I pulled out the Civic Si, added suspension, tires, racing brakes, a turbo and some aero and easily went to first. It was great fun, flat out from the tunnel exit to the finish line with only a dab of brakes at the turns. Detuned to 400PP was enough.
I am no fan of either Eiger or the Pug, I think it handles horridly. Faced with race 2, I (literally!) threw a tune on it. A couple tweaks and it's lovely. Made the race easy and a pleasure.
I'm not good at G.V. reverse. I think it has no flow, and I just can't get the hang of it. That being said, I took a "gun to a knife fight" with the BMW VGT. What a superb car. Awesome livery courtesy of mikezub.
The Monster Maxwell Gojira decimated the field in race 4. No issues here other than wanting the competition to move out of my way.
Maxwell Racing notched another win this week in race 5 at the 'Ring. The Lexus Gr.2 is one of the most stellar cars in the game. I cruised to the finish, not needing fuel or tires. Awesome car!
Having spent ages trying to get a car that would work well for me. I settled on the Porsche 917 Living legend. Failed a couple of times. And then on my last go, crashed on the third lap dropping me to 7th. As I carried onwards towards the finish. Having totally lost the will to live with it all. I managed to get up to 5th by the last few hundred yards, to then suddenly find 2 cars crawling (i'm assumed ran out of fuel) Literally just as I crossed the finish line. Giving me a third and an event completion. It felt like divine intervention!!!
Moral of the story. Never give up. You never know what crazy stuff might still happen. 😁
Exactly same thing happened to me today, I was P4 and Hizal and Miyazono ran out of fuel few hundred meters before the finish line. I remembered your post!
Setting. cars for ATAQ tread ( new one from a friend of mine @Gorefast ) for Tsukuba with restrictions to be max at 670pp and mandatory use of RM tyres , i said what the hell , let's bring it to GV as it is ( i only change FG at gear box ) and see how it is .

Today i took my 400R (and after the 02 Nurbug Godzilla ) at our 550pp configuration we use at Titans races and went at the moon , the blue one 😂
400R almost stock ,weight reduction first stage and only 339hp ( since we can exceed 340hp and lower than 1300kg with SM tyres ).
So 150 pp down and was an easy win with CRB that honestly i didn't think that I'll succeed it .
In some races like Atlanta at 600pp at the past the AI was bloody fast ( even at normal level that i use ) and in some are ........💤😌💤😌💤
Don't know how different might be at hard level but am not willing and to find out 😂 .
I'm back and was finally able to run the races over the past two days. Good stuff this week.
WTC800- I decided to use my GT500 NISMO R35 (2016). Was going to use my usual go-to Audi but for some reason It wasn't feeling right. I lost grip in a number of turns. Anyway, it was a fun race and won it by quite a bit over Igor. Nürburgring Endurance__1 by 2cam16, on Flickr
GV was a good place to test my new 2JZ swaps. Used the Yaris first and an easy win. Grand Valley - Highway 1 Reverse__3 by 2cam16, on Flickr
Eiger was in my mildly modded car on SS. Easy win again. Eiger Nordwand_ (11) by 2cam16, on Flickr
Tokyo was another test bed for me,this time in one of my Kanjo race-style EF which I kept right under the suggested. Tuned to 199hp on stock tires (I think they were CM's?). Fun race and won by only a few seconds. Tokyo Expressway - Central Counterclockwise_ (3) by 2cam16, on Flickr
Blue Moon was in a stock R35 on SS. Easy win. Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield A Reverse_ (2) by 2cam16, on Flickr
using the Bugatti VGT (GR1) at Daytona, Lance Evo 96 for 600pp race due to its accelerated start, XJ220 '92 for the world rally challenge, and Fairlady z34 '08 for the japan race
Just prepare a car for tomorrow Gr1 race and i find out that never ever I'll enter at the pits right and without reward me 3 seconds penalty 🤣 .
I even start a race trying just to learn ( every lap ) how ill get it right and the outcome was the same 😱 3x3 seconds penalty .
So i leave it in God's will and i prepare to do my laundry, at least there i can manage things better
Surprised I could use the NSX GT3 at Alsace. Actually nodded off during the Nurb GP race. Took the lead end of lap 3 and woke up in the barrier at the final chicane end of Lap 4. Bring back DTM or make a Group A event or something fun for 600 PP. Had more fun with the Kangoo.
A final set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges for April 2025 is becoming available to players around the world as local clocks tick into Friday morning, as five new races rotate into this special bonus mode...
