No you got it right Blitz. The last thing the league needs is a drop in quality of the game due to injuries resulting from too much wear.

I would also like to add that networks do not like it when games go over their slotted time schedule and screw up the other programming line up schedules.

See the Heidi Bowl for more info lol.

Your tie game reasoning is valid.

I still like the college system better. These guys get paid enough to put their bodies on the line.

/give me blood.

Then make it a real test: force teams to pay attention to their benches. To make analogies towards racing, think of each player as a car engine for F1, INDY or any other discipline of racing where the number of engines is governed. My point: you know you can't use up all one player has to give, because then they break down. You have to rotate them through efficiently so that the team can stay strong. It can allow for longer-game seasons, but totally screw up how we view player stats. Depending on personal views, I'm sure you'll all see it a different way.

Teams do pay attention to their benches. When the Packers won the Super Bowl a few years ago, they did it on the backs of what were considered back up players. That team had something like nine guys that were injured and out for the year.

There would be less of a problem if the entire 53 player roster was allowed to be active for games. As of now, only 45 of the 53 players are active for games.

Whether you love or loathe these Thursday Night games, here's another one for you. This one is all about the AFC East. The Miami Dolphins (4-5) will make a splash in Orchard Park, New York against the (3-6) Buffalo Bills. MIA is currently 2nd in the AFC East, and I think BUF is 3rd. Anyhow- Dolphins at Bills tonight. Time to start a new week of NFL football.

Thanks to Yahoo! Sports, here are teams who are on their Bye week: TEN, MIN, NYG, and SEA.

Yep. Secondary is broken and the offensive line can't move people off the ball. If you can't make a place to run and your WRs are too slow to take the top off the defense, there's no way you can win. We're a broken team. I expect more than 3/4ths of the roster to be gone within the next two seasons.

edit: Glad to see Rishard Matthews finally get in the game though. That kid can be a baller. All these people need a shot... get in the game and do something.

edit 2: How was that not a touchdown? Bring back the replacement refs.

Time to continue this week of football. The big game tonight is Ravens at Steelers. Good luck to all of your teams.

You know, I just realized something. We have a short week! Texans are hosting the Jaguars right now. But on Thanksgiving, we're playing at Detroit. This quick swing is almost like a back-to-back in the NBA. Got to tough this one out.

I hope the Texans lose as revenge John.:P

That said, I think my Bears are walking out of San Fran with another L.

We cannot afford to lose to the Vikes, the Pack, and the Lions though.

Probably would help not to lay an egg this week and lose the next game vs. Detroit than be embarrassed in this one.

My Jags on beastmode today :)

They think they can reproduce what they saw on their Madden the night before.👍

As a Bears fan though I'm loving it.

Edit: Nevermind, boo the Jags! BOOOO!

Somebody told Cleveland they were winning, that is why they are losing right now.

Andre Johnson with the dagger in OT.

Keeping my head held high as this game was predicted to be a blow-out and to intercept Shaub in OT, force a missed field goal and give our rookie WR 200+ yards, its a great performance all round for us.

Feeling very optimistic in this offense. There is no better AFC defense than the Texans IMHO.

Sixty minutes wasn't enough. Jacksonville damn near disappointed us. Texans could have played much better through the whole game. Game was tied at 17 at the half, and tied at 34 at the end of regulation. I even learned of the new Overtime rules. Both teams swapped field goals starting with us. Still, we [somehow] managed to win 43-37 in Overtime. A really sweet short pass by Schaub to Old Reliable (Andre Johnson) helped the Texans finally put down the Jaguars.

That's the good news. Bad news- no rest for the weary. At Detroit on Thanksgiving to take on another pack of cats. I'd hate for my Texans to somehow get carved up at Detroit. Basically, the Lions will basically have what's left over of the Texans after our victory at home. I'm hoping for the best for my boys.

Did your boys do anything cool today?

J.J. Watt is defensive player of the season for me.

That guy was the difference in OT.

Caz
Shutuppa u face!!!

That would suck especially with hernandez being out still.

Ignoring the reports won't make them untrue will it?. Doesn't matter, they will still crush the Jets Thursday.
