The finest footballers from college football will try to play on Sundays and Monday Nights to expand their football career. Dozens of names who committed to the NFL Draft will learn their fate as they go to a new team. This is the time to call up Mel Kiper Jr. and ask for his projections.

Who will the NFL's 32 teams select for their draft? Who will miss out on being drafted? Speculation begins now, everyone!

Not that I know of. My Texans have had their best record in franchise history at 8-8 last season. Now that we're all undefeated again, I think my Texans need some running back help as well as maybe another reliable wide receiver. Andre Johnson is my man for the Texans. I also like Andre Davis who played in the Texans' final game of the season with (I believe) two special teams touchdowns that game. I do love the young Amobi Okoye who graduated out of the University of Louisville. We still need some sufficient offensive line help. Mario Williams stepped his game up and started putting opposing quarterbacks on their backs. We are still far from a team that can consistently play for the playoffs. Then again, we'll still be known as an expansion team that will never be a playoff team and will never be better than Indianapolis or New England or anybody.

Someone I'm interested in seeing in the NFL Draft will be Andre' Woodson for the Kentucky Wildcats. I wonder if Kentucky can keep recruiting solid talent to help give Kentucky football that shot in the arm that could help them compete for SEC Championship honors. As for Woodson, I'm sold on Andre' Woodson. He could play for almost any NFL team be it St. Louis, Philadelphia, or any place like that. The resident of Radcliffe, KY could play somewhere close like St. Louis or even Tennessee (probably as a backup to Vince Young). Cincinnati may also be possible as far as close-by NFL teams go. I'll look out for Woodson and any other key names I may have missed in this year's draft.

We're coming up on the Draft this weekend. I'm sure you all can make out what your favorite team needs in the draft. I'm just hopeful for some more offensive line support and maybe even a quality running back and/or wide receiver for my Texans. We'll need some quality talent especially if we're going to have such a rough five games of the season as well as playing on Monday Night game against a tough Jacksonville team.

OLD NEWS... Miami has dibs on Jake Long of Michigan. Keep in mind that there may be some non-BCS and non-FBS schools that have quality talent. Last night on "College Sports Tonight" on CBS College Sports (formerly CSTV), there was a fellow from the Division 2 school, Bentley College (or Bentley University?), that was given some love. Don't forget about Tony Romo coming out of Eastern Illinois. So anyone is fair game.

So who do you guys think had the best draft? I think the Chiefs and the Steelers had the best drafts. My teams the Jets and the Panthers did okay could have done a little better but for the most part I am satisfied with their drafts.

I'm not entirely sure as to who got drafted by the Panthers (or even the Steelers for that matter) but I do know 1 thing: Jake Delhomme is back! He's really back!

Is he? Back to what his 2003 form or his post 2003 form?

Form? Umm... What I meant by that was that after he got injured in their game with the Falcons this year, he managed to recover! Sorry if I caused a bit of confusion there!
