Since NFS 2015 is likely to be announced in the coming weeks (NFS Rivals was announce around this time) then share with what you're expectations for NFS [Insert catchy subtitle here] is.

My first answer was quite blunt, I know.

Here's what I'm expecting in the 2015 NFS:
- 60 FPS (could be 900p, not a big deal.)
- Varied car list.
- More customization.
- Better handling.
Overall, what I'm expecting NFS 2015 to be is a NFS game going back to its roots.
Which roots?
These roots?

Or These Roots?

My expectations aren't going to be much, from when EA released NFS undercover onwards (Not including undercover) the games in my opinion kept getting worse and worse. EA weren't listening to what the majority of people wanted, and were creating games that lacked key elements of the roots; Mass customisation, a somewhat ok-ish storyline, etc. I'd only expect it to be a continuation of what I don't really see. It'll have cops, a bunch of cars and a map with online being one of the biggest features. This is what I think anyway, I doubt we'd be seeing a NFS MW or Carbon styled game ever again from them.

Hopefully the online is decent this time round. AllDrive was the ****** idea EA have ever had. EVER.

@JASON_ROCKS1998 I'd bet all the money there will be customization, I wouldn't bet against cops and open world either, hopefully they nail the physics (more driveclub than burnout)

I wished they went back to the physics of old NFS (U2 and MW). The Burnout physics would never work in a city based map (if U3 is based in a city)

Hot Pursuit (2010) used Burnout physics to the max. Most Wanted (2012) tuned it down a little, but it still was very drifty. Despite being in a city environment in Most Wanted (2012), I think it worked okay. Granted, Most Wanted (2012) didn't have nearly as many intersections, side streets and sharp turns that were in Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted, and Carbon.

They kept the same generally drifty handling model for Rivals, so I'd expect some of that, although I'd like to see a variant on the handling that was used in The Run. You could drift with some ease for that game, but it was hardly drift every single turn and if you got on the shoulder of the road it actually caused issues, which was frustrating at times but made sense. The cars actually felt like they had weight to them, which I find rare in NFS games.

I'd like a mix of NFS Most Wanted (2005) and Most Wanted (2012) as far as physics goes.

If it is like any of the following gameplay-wise, I'd buy it:

- Need for Speed 3 (****ing great tracks and cars)
- Hot Pursuit 2 (Same as above)
- Underground 1/2 (still playing part 1 sometimes)
- Most Wanted (the original, not the renamed stuff)

I hope they don't to the simcade route like Shift, nfs must be arcade

Hell yes. Remember the super fun pursuits you could have on MW and Carbon?

I've been playing the original Most Wanted lately, so a game like that would be nice.

But honestly, I don't know what to expect from NFS these days. The series has offered exoctic cars and police chases, inner city street racing, a mix of those two, professional race car driving, a reboot of Hot Pursuit and more. No other racing game series has been all over the place in terms of racing sub-generes. The only thing EA hasn't done is cave-in to the endless requests for an Underground 3, so I that could be a start.
