Face it, EA won't fix Carbon, they'll release NFS 11 first. And apparently it'll be more realistic.

And all this EA bashing is so overdone. If you hate the games so much, why do you guys fall hook, line and sinker for them year after year?

We can't help it, Need for Speed games are very addictive to play especially the Hot Pursuit series and Most Wanted. Once Carbon was release I had to get it, among other gamers. Carbon for the 360 is somewhat better because u can play online with other people.

My problem is that Carbon was a "rushed" game, because the graphics look cartoonish, and too damn short. Plus if you're in a pursuit, you're stuck because by the time, you outrun the cops, here comes more before u cool down, I also have problems with the game freezing on me all the time after I take over 2 or more territories.

I sold back to Gamestop and used the credit for God of War 2

They don't look cartoonish, they just suck plain and simple. Hell, Most Wanted was a port of the PS2 version, yet the graphics kicked the snot out of anything Carbon offers, from cars to ground textures.

Lady Sovereign is a chav that makes annoying and repetitive music.

nicely said GTRacer.

it further supports my point that the music on Carbon is terrible...

ah well looking forward to the next NFS instalment.

dont know what "ftw" stands for anyway, but i suppose you like Lady Sovereign on a racing game? :indiff:

No i only set it on in menu. FTW is for the win.
I just hate menu music, so practically everything is better there:crazy:

no i have to agree all the Carbon music is terrible. apart from the canyon theme music, thats good.

i wish NFS would go back to the type of music on MW, and even stuff like Photek from the ancient NFS: Road Challenge. i must admit that was a brilliant game, even though the cars were pretty much square... :)

It just depends on what type of music you like i guess. Photek is indeed pretty cool but that's because it's in GT4 too.

I think that NFS should bring back the good-old techno and not-so-hard-rock music. The music in NFS:HS IMO was great. The techno in NFS:HP2, was also quite good, although; it got a bit repititive.

I got the PC version so I just turned off the music and ran WinAmp in the background. :)

I'm not finding anything wrong with Need For Speed Carbon. I only like it because I can get finally get chased by the cops and have more of an open space to travel rather than a track. Mind you Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 were the best games and High Stakes ( still have High Stakes and have tried to play it but got used to recent gen game graphics lol ). I have been a fan of NFS games since Hot Pursuit for the PC. I have yet to try the games before it and the ones in between but I will soon.

I don't understand why people hate EA so much for Carbon and yet whenever they release a new NFS game y'all run to the shelves and your local store and buy it and then some complain and some like and some are bias. I understand these are personal opinions and such but here is my personal opinion. If a new NFS game comes out, rent before you buy so you know wether you are going to like it or not. Would buy a new car at lets say a local Ford dealer ship, then say " this car blows!". No. You would test drive the car before making a final decision. Thats what people should do with new video game releases, try it before you buy it.

I test games before buying all the time. Either borrow a copy or play it at a friends house or rent. I don't buy games UNLESS I know I'm going to like it, and I mean like.

Remember, this is MY opinion and I'm not putting anyone down. But really folks, the ones who are complaining sound like they will buy the next NFS when it comes next year or late this year.

I know there is going to be people not agreeing with what I'm saying but think logically for a second and you will see what I'm saying makes sense.

Believe me, it makes sense to TRY it BEFORE you buy it. Works for me :)

I rented it before i bought it. I really don't have a problem with the game either. I mean i wasn't expecting a sim racing game from the NFS franchise. I was expecting what i got, cop chases and silly looking body kits on imports for the most part. I was happy to see a little domestic in it like the charger and camaro. I wasn't pleased with the drifting physics all that much, way too easy. And also before it came out i was reading about the new feature it was going to have where you could mold the body parts to how you wanted the and all and i was stoked! But then i got the game and really seems like that part was pushed out way too soon. Maybe the next game they can deliver what they promised with that feature. Would be cool to make a wide body 69 charger.

That feature wasn't pushed from the game. For the most part it's still in the game but you can only make the molds a certain percentage bigger or smaller compared to the stock form. I haven't used the Autoscuplt feature in the game to date yet and I have had the game for 2 weeks now and yes beat the career and started a new one. The draw back I'm having with the game is unlike GT4 you can redo reaces and get the same amount of crediots for it when you first beatr the race. NFS C you get only 500 bucks when you do the race a second time which makes for getting money hard unless you have Neville set as active crew member to give you the extra 200 cash.

Thats my beef with the game.

Thread Bump.

They need to make the Need For Speed look as good as the Hot Pursuit II version, and have a similar appeal to cars. They let you enjoy the car for what it is, not what you can do with it. They used to have the CLK GTR Road Car, which is hard to find in games. Sure they had Need For Speed versions of the car, but all they did was change the paint and give it a bit more HP. I would love it if they had NFSHPII graphics, car choice as well as more exotics that are out there, and customization sort of like NFSU1, or something. The only thing I like about carbon is the police chases and extensive customization to the vinyls. Come on, after so many years, the cops still can't set up a proper road block.

They had R/C sized cars and traffic available with a cheat. Keep the cops the same, but make story mode longer and more fun. 💡

Never fully tune the Mazdaspeed 3, as it would only be able to do 80MPH at times. :grumpy: It's some wierd glitch that makes it shaky and very slow.

I would have enjoyed it more if my files stopped corrupting
NFS Carbon PS2
Corrupted files: Mike
Status: glitched up. Continually freezes when I try to play.

NFS Carbon: Own the City DS
Corrupted files: Mike
Status:running

Yeah, it was actually messed up since I got the game. It would sometimes freeze on a loading screen, but I didn't take it back or address this as a problem because it happened very infrequently. It turns out there was more than that, and it stopped working. The wierd thing is both my files in both games became corrupted (for no apparent reason) AFTER I beat the game. :boggled:
Oh, I don't care, I never cared much for Carbon anyway. I really only play Most Wanted and it is twice the game Carbon ever will be. Can't wait for November, I REALLY want ProStreet!! :D

Well heres what i think. Both our games are like twins :D

Need for speed hot pursuit 2 was pretty fun. The cops were having a bit too much fun though.

RacerX510 Driving in NFSHP2
You will never take me alive!!
Cop#1
Let's run this guy off the road.
Cop#2
Give him the SmackDown!

Then I ended up being arrested. Hot Pursuit 2 gives me a few laughs still, but in Need For Speed MW and past, there are no funny cop phrases at all. It was more realistic when you try to push a cop car onto an incoming wall, making them immobilized. They don't just hit the wall and continue driving. Also the cops stop the chase when it gets too dangerous, which is realistic. 👍
