NFS Glitches

go easy, he was just trying to help.👎

Notice I used the plural form of the word??? that wasn't aimed at him, it was aimed at EA for making things only unlockable by going online but then taking online out, thus making the online unlockable's, un-lockable...... EA dropped the ball big time if that's what's really going on.

Their, that more clear now?? Sorry about being too short sometimes.

sorry missed that. Just looked on the marketplace and the 06'' GT500, AE86 and zonda are on there for 80 points each:( Should've got it for 360, oh well atleast i can use my G25 with the PS2 version.

It's official. My copy of MW does not want me to have Bull's car. I have challenged him 4 times now (and won all 4). Upon getting to the marker screen, my game has frozen 2 of the times, and the other 2 have given me no pink slip, despite a 2 out of 3 chance each time. It's kind of pissing me off.

:ouch: :grumpy: :irked: :banghead: 🤬

Edit: My game has frozen at the marker screen THREE times now. I'm pissed.

Edit 2: I have now come to a crappy conclusion: my game is glitched in such a way that picking the marker that happens to be the pink slip will freeze the game. (It has only frozen when picking a ? marker, as the upgrade makers do not glitch, and I have managed to get his other two ? markers). His car is the most expensive in the game, and is relatively slow unless I upgrade for even more money. This means that I cannot possibly get his car, and it will take a SIXTH attempt to even advance in the game. I am now incredibly pissed, and very tired.

That is possibly the worst thing I've heard about NFS MW, 3-Wheel-Drive. I'm guessing its a PC version?

Is it possible to try completing the game with another disc from someone else? Could it be the savefile itself?

Well I created the thread for PS2 versions of NFS, as this is the PS2 forum, and both my NFS games (MW and HPII) are for my PS2. I may try renting the game, in case it's my disc. I tried cleaning the disc, and switching controllers (because on an unrelated note, the pressure sensitivity is now shot on one of them). I haven't checked my data file, because if it is corrupted the PS2 shouldn't read it. But, it froze for the fourth time now, so cleaning the disc didn't do jack @#!%.
I've had no other trouble with the MW game, no other catastrophic glitches, that's the weird thing. I can advance in the game, I just can't risk Bull's pink slip. I may try renting the game, but if it glitches too, I am doomed to never have Bull's car. And buying and modifying a SLR to similar performance will cost me probably $600K, which would take forever.

So yeah, I'm not happy.

I completed the game and won his car. The thing is, I didn't really find it better than the Carerra GT. Sure, it has great acceleration and top speed according to the stats, but the handling is just above the halfway line. I tried taking it to the performance shop but it said that it cannot be upgraded.

i finished carbon (for the 5th time) and the game froze and i didnt have a near end game save so i had to restart from 50%. So after gettin back to about 90% guess what? THE GAME FREEZES AGAIN!!!:grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬

EDIT: It happened AGAIN:grumpy::banghead:🤬

Hmm my copy of carbon always seemed to freeze too, so I guess it wasn't just my PS2.

myn always freezes when i try to enter any race in career or quickrace with a car that i have just done up. It also happens about 75% of the time i try and enter a quickrace at all.

Now every tiime i race i save my game:nervous: so if it does freeze at least i wont waste my time from gettin from 50% to 90% over and over and over and over again:ouch: At least EA could have put in them "lost" cars

Offtopic:Is it just me or are Carbon's canyon tracks just a night version of NFS HP2's tracks. Some turns on the canyon are extreamly familiar to some on HP2

Good idea:idea: And heres another glitch: On the last race where you race all them bosses at the same time at the end and you beat them, the game said you have won $50,200. So then at the next race where you verse all them bosses on a street race, i quit cause i couldnt be bothered playin after a long, long sit of about 3hours. So i went back to the safe house and noticed that the $50,200 didnt add to the cash.:grumpy: . Well now i retried the race twice and cant seem to get the money back.:ouch:

I find it stupid, how some cars that we use in the challenge series are unavailable due to them forgetting to remvoe the online reward cards for the ps2 version. So we can't get the MR2, IS300 and the Plymouth Road Runner because of that error. I also find it annoying that after you beat Darius he hands you the keys to his R8, but you can only use it in arcade mode....

Here's an interesting one from Underground 2, in career mode, if you have a Skyline, upgrade it fully apart from the engine/exhaust (for the sweet exhaust note  ) then drive it, start off in reverse, with no tuning mine tops out at 56mph, but if you stop, put the handbrake (E-brake) on and THEN reverse it can go past 82mph! A useless but amusing one :D

Has anyone noticed there are lots of invisible bumps in the walls around the city? I only seem to encounter them during Challenge Series tollbooth time trials, though. But if I'm scraping along the wall while going through a turn a little too fast, my car may just stop. I'll hear the crunch of hitting a wall, and my car will go from xxx mph to 0 instantly, like I ran straight for a building or something. It's only in some areas on some tracks (that I know of), and there is no way to tell these "outcroppings" are there. They just look like regular, smooth railings or walls with no obvious gaps or bumps. Worst part is, some of the tollbooth races are so close, hitting just one of these things can ruin an otherwise perfect run, forcing me to start over because I cannot possibly reach the next booth in time.

Yes i have too encountered these glitchs. I think that they are walls which stick out of the "environment" and are invisible. Maybe its kinda like that glitch in the GT series; where you can see outside the walls of Motegi Speedway.
