Major bump, sorry, but to clutter this forum less I'm reviving this thread. Here I go:
NFS Underground 2:
Free roam, Jackson Heights, there is a small corner of road you can see on the minimap that you can't access at all. When someone trainered their way up to see over the vegetation in a YouTube video, there was nothing there.
NFS Carbon:
Career tutorial:
When Nikki asks you to use your crew member ability and you're too far ahead, you won't be able to but she keeps asking you to use it (she should eventually catch up).
Nikki was entering Scout mode and hit a wall, and after I pulled ahead for a few seconds (I was taking the track full speed), the screen faded with a "Restarting..." message and the entire tutorial restarted. Not necessarily a glitch, but (not) cool nonetheless.
Silver Canyon Drift challenge from the challenge series:
I hit a solid wall hard and managed to flip my car, and holding acceleration and left, well, I'd love to say "see for yourself" but I didn't have the means to record it, so, basically, the car freaked out and did cartwheels and somersaults and breakdancing for a few seconds before the game decided I was upside down for a few seconds and needed resetting. This might be one reason why city drift only exists on the PC version.
Career Free Roam:
I did a free roam challenge against some other racer for the first time on the save file, and the reward card popup notification thing didn't appear. When I did it a second time, the popup appeared. The fifth one was counted right, though.
Sometimes, when you just run about in a pursuit, the police 'give up' and you have to find a roadblock to sit next to and wait for the backup to arrive if you want to keep the pursuit going. (this at least happens on heat 4, gonna be a while before I can try heat 5).

(...) I've noticed that if you hit a cop in a roadblock just right, every once in a while, nothing happens. Your car will continue its course and speed unaffected, and the cop doesn't move. You simply drives through him, as if he weren't actually there there. (...)
I got that on NFS Carbon but it was on a crash highlight thing (I didn't hit a roadblock, just a couple of stationary Police Interceptors, unless there's another glitch with incomplete roadblocks) during one of the challenges of the Challenge Series. Another few times I hit the roadblock normally but the highlight plays with no sound effects.
Many of the highway walls in U2 will knock you out of contention of a race because the invisible wall behind the graphic juts out into the road, so if you happen to be riding the wall in that area you will hit it and be thrown accross the road. The was also an even worse problem in the original U, because it was in a spot that you always hit coming off of a turn.
That happened to me a couple times in Carbon only today, and another time I was stopped dead on the spot after hitting a wall. Over in U2 Bayview is filled with bits sticking out, which become annoying when they're too frequent.
Hmm my copy of carbon always seemed to freeze too, so I guess it wasn't just my PS2.
My (originally my friend's, we traded) copy of U2 freezes often when loading Drift events and hidden drag events. When it doesn't, it takes an exceptionally long time to load.
(...) At least EA could have put in them "lost" cars (...)
If the game isn't saved, the game won't know you won the cars, no way around that on a PS2.
I find it stupid, how some cars that we use in the challenge series are unavailable due to them forgetting to remvoe the online reward cards for the ps2 version. So we can't get the MR2, IS300 and the Plymouth Road Runner because of that error. (...)
I looked through the list of reward cards, EA did in fact remove the online reward cards from the PS2 version, though I don't know if they reallocated the rewards to other cards or if they removed them.
My personal favorite is in MW where if you hit a pursuit breaker and if there is a police car next to you or any object you can knock over (such as random objects, gates,) right after watching the little animation when it falls, if you try to ram into that object you will move right through it. If you don't get what i mean, lure a police car into the first police station in a gated area and slowly drive up to and destroy the big antenna that takes the cop out. Leave the station through the gated area and you will drive right through it without disturbing it in any way. (...)
I think that's due to how the AI, that takes over during the highlight, is programmed to ignore entity collision so you don't get stuck in a corner by a dumb AI and, if you take the pursuit breaker too slow, you don't get stuck in it. Happens in Carbon, too.
