"NFS Most Wanted is a well-balanced, challenging, and substantial racing game that's worth your while on any system. It returns the series to its cop chasing days while incorporating street cars, culture, and an impressive display of stylized FMV without forgetting the fundamentals: People like to drive sweet-looking, fast cars, they want more than a little freedom, and hey, if there are a bunch of hot chicks too? All the better."

CB scroll up to my previous post (#23), theres details on the extra's included in the Black Edition.

I think someone who trys and ruins the look in NFS: MW, should get extra fined by the police. Once there captured in game, or even i think it should be a crime if anyone ruins the look of lush super cars.

I couldnt agree more  I REALLLY hope its not required to rice out your car like in the previous versions. On another sad note, they did away with Street X and Drift events completely. Those were 2 of my favorites! 👎:grumpy:

Good thing I read that. I will get the black version for sure.

Thats ok there will be cops that we can hopefully smash off the road online. Dont forget how fun NFS:Hot Pursuit was and this looks like a combination of all the games. The drifting and Street X events will be missed though but hopefully they replaced them with some other goodies. :dopey:

Not a big fan of the drift events AT ALL...but man, loved the Street X stuff, some really technical racing...

If the final game is anything like the demo, I'm definitely not buying it... The controls feel delayed and buggy... If they fix those things, I might be interested... Looks like they're getting away from the "Rice" theme, although, just slightly... Definitely a step in the right direction...

I agree, I played the demo with a paddle though, I am sure with a wheel it would be 100% better...the thottle modulation was very difficult with the paddle...ALOT of smokey burnouts, while being cool, are the least helpful when going for a quick time...

I think I'll buy this game. Underground 2 was strangely enjoyable. I had one car I don't care about to rice up and get the magazines and another was a pure racing machine. Hope they keep the tuning.

I remember when the NFSU2 demo came out. I hated the demo. Then the game came out and I liked it a lot and played it all the way thru. So hopefully this demo is just another bad example of the final version. :)

Well if you go to the site and watch some of the videos, there is a video with the producer and in one part he says it is totally up to you to modify the looks of your vehicles, they don't force you anymore to rice the cars up. A big smile came to my face when I heard him say that, but a bigass frown came upon mine when online wouldn't be available for the PS2. I mean WTF is up with that? NFSU 1 and 2 had online why not this?

I honestly think because there just weren't enough people playing NFS2 online when it came out to make it worth it for NFSMW on the PS2. I remember hearing many members complaining that there was never anyone online on the PS2 in NFSU2. However there were always plenty of people available for the x-box online. Not to bash PS2 online but x-box has always been better when it comes to online play. More people in FPS games, better performance, usually more cars online in driving games......I can come back later if examples are necessary.

The NFSMW PC demo is out, you can download it here if you want to give the game a try.

It offers single and multiplayer modes, two quick races, three challanges and ~5 different cars (some challenges give you a car to use that isnt in the menus) to experience with.
It is some heavy 557.3MB big so a bb connection is recommended.
Enjoy8)

Fortunately my girlfriend's computer could run it really well, its been a while since ive played with a keyboard but it looks like this is gonna be another really good arcade racer from EA.

what do you think i should do, get nfsmw on the PS2 or the PSP? i would rather have it on the PSP but are the graphics just as good as on the PS2, and is the PSP version shortened?

DJ-CiviC
and they have the gots to say its a Underground like ??????? Theres no little imports cars, just stupid big boats... :(

My decision is now clear, I will not buy this...

Well its finally got a audi A4 so I will get it for that reason alone.

i don't understand it. a skyline could smoke a supra or a lancer, yet they leave it out and replace it with s***ty little cars like the fiat punto. NFS doesn't nead c**p little s***boxes like the punto. it needs big japanese muscle. i'll still buy NFS:Most Wanted, because I like the selection of cars, especially the Vauxhall Monaro VXR, but i'll always know that it just won't be the same as underground without the skyline.

shame on you EA. shame on you.

I never drive skylines out of free will anymore. Im all skylined out.

I'm quite glad they dropped the skyline. That car is overrated.

lol, like a lot of porsche boxsters that are desired to be in games? haha.

Personally I wasn't really pleased with this game, I've played the demo's, and played early builds, and soon I will play the full version, but from what I have played so far, it seems very sloppy as far as controls are concerned.

I understand that it is an arcade racer, and that's why it fails. After playing such a well built arcade racer, like PGR2 or Burnout: Revenge, which far surpasses this game in control, it's just hard for me to get into it. Especially with the visuals, they are OVER saturated, but that's just my personal opinoin.

I'll give more when I play a final version, but as of now...as much as I hate to say it, NFSU2 was better.

eh, performance > namebrand for me.

Boxters are crappy. a FairladyZ, M3, S200, even the Skyline V-Spec, all run over a Porsche Boxter S.

There are good porsches, and bad ones. But for the price of all of them, none of these cars should come close to competing.

They are overpriced, overated cars for people who don't know how to drive so they buy these cars thinking that the name gives them status.

Porshce sucks the big one.

Also, who else has played this game demo or more? I'm looking to find anyone who found the control comfortable...lol...I tried playing it again tonight, and I got a *tad* more used to it, but I still can't enjoy it as much as I could if the control was tighter. It feels too arcade, with a dash of simulation thrown in...it kills it for me.

namebrand > trend

bwahahahaha, spoken like a true novice car enthusiast!!

Since when does a name brand come out over cars that can outperform them? lmao.

Trend? Only because people made it so. If you don't think that Porsches were "trends" maybe you need to back track about 20 years and take a close look at the 80's and their popularity, which has declined considerably over the last decade.

I believe they had that in NFSU2 as wel....
You're thinking A3, brotha.. :)

Wow you got some high standards if you think the controls are very sloppy. Juiced = very sloppy. SRS = very sloppy. I dont know about even the NFSMW demo being nearly as bad as those two but like you said, thats just your personal opinion.
