On the second or third event, my Miata got stuck in replay mode. I eventually had to quit the game in order to unfreeze it.

Might have been mentioned before...

Horrendous slow down in the top end invitational events - the ones where the last car gets eliminated every 20 seconds or so... Ford GT at Brands, Reventon at Lagua, GTR at can't remember where events for example, but there are more. Although the engine and tyre sounds are normal, the car is travelling at about 20% of it's proper speed... feels like driving though glue... most unusual

Also, Porsche GT2 invitational event at London Mile... WTF did you do to the handling of the GT2 for that event. It drives lovely normally, but in that event, if you even touch a kerb or bump it takes off like a space hopper.

Also had a couple of instances of the sound just disappearing completely when I was running a couple of random races at the 2 London tracks on Sunday (to get 100% corners mastered). Had to re-boot the game to get it back.

Livery editor keep rotating one of my vinyls by about 2* even when I reset it and save... irritating.

Anything remotely fast at Spa is just annoying, bit of a game killer. They also take the first part of Pouhon ridiculously faster than i can ever go around it, at least 20% faster.

The sound issue is an interesting one, it often cuts in and out for me. I know of other developers on PS3 who read compressed sound files on the fly, maybe this is the issue with Shift? Though, that is very out there, just a thimmock. :D

I just did the Tier 2 Japan series drift competition at Miyatomi . After the first heat, I was in first. Then, when the score to beat message for the second heat came up, my RX-7 just took off. The starting lights went off like normal and I started with my car pointed at the inside wall halfway through the first turn. I did two laps of the track and I got no points. Also, at the end, my car just did a burnout.

EDIT:

I have always wondered what a PS3 looks like on a tube tv. Nice work on the drifting man. I thought those people in the pits were actually real people.

I was going for clean races on all EU tracks. I had only Autopolis and Silvestone International left. So i started with silvestone, raced cleanly and didn´t get the badge, so i tried it again and nothing. Then i looked into my badges and all of sudden i noticed that i have the Autopolis badge. And from then i just cant get the Silvestrone Int badge no matter how clean i race.

May have been mentioned before, but I will post them just in case:

- All the little gauges (boost, oil pressure, etc) don't work in replays
- Every time I start a quick race drift event, my car has no sound. Restarting fixes it.
- I've noticed that in the livery editor, if you have to rotate a stick on the left hand side of the car, the game will rotate it to a different angle after you have exited the editor.

Well, it's not a bug, it's a conversion error.

1 mile =/= 1.600 km

Condition for getting the epic "Manufacturer Loyalty" badge:

I have:

More than 160 km or 100 miles

More than 160 km or 100 miles

More than 160 km (should give me the epic badge), but less than 100 miles.

BMW M3 GT2, quick race, 10 identical cars, on Rd America.

Serious frame rate issues basically throughout the whole course to that point that it gets unplayable. On a unmodified XBox360 that is.

Well, seeing as we're reviving old threads... ;)

I don't know if it's been mentioned elsewhere but.. What drunken sot layed down the "racing line" in this game. Sheesh! Yes, I know. I should just turn it off, but it is helpful for braking points and unfamiliar tracks.

OK. I've got that off my chest. I feel better now. :)

Ain't they great?
I still have about 50% of the corners to "master", just because I can't figure out exactly what weird ass line they would like me to take. (havent ever had the line on, it annoys me)
Aside from the fact it's nearly impossible with 80% of the cars to steer even remotely smooth, at all, even a little bit.

Are you using a wheel or a controller?
I have a G25 wheel and pedals and after having the game for like 3 weeks finally found settings that really smoothed out my steering inputs without making the car unresponsive. It makes a huge difference and even cut 3 - 4 seconds off my lap times!

Would you mind posting or PMing me your settings? I've got some of the twitchiness toned down, but it's still there a lot of the time.

Agreed on the random racing line. For some corners it's just waaaay off.

What! And get myself knocked off the Nordschleife board? No Way!

Just kidding... No problem Imari.

Steering Deadzone: 0
Accelerator Deadzone: 0
Brake Deadzone: 1
Clutch Deadzone: 1
Steering Sensitivity: 95
Accelerator Sensitivity: 30
Braking Sensitivity: 30
Clutch Sensitivity: 50
Speed Steering Sensitivity: 30
Wheel Lock: 540
FFB Strength: 8

This takes advantange of the 900 degree wheel without having to actually turn it so far which always sends me wide in corners. But setting the wheel lock to 360 or 270 and Steering Sensitivity to 50% seems to make the inputs jerky and nervous and tends to get the back tires sliding in some cars.

If you set the Steering Lock in advanced tuning to suit your preferrence for each car these settings seem to work well.

To me this setup "feels" the most realistic and the most like a real car at speed. Even the pedals feel more natural now. Most importantly it starts your turn-in more smoothly and accurately which is where I'm sure I lost time.

Of course, I'm sure you've noticed that "what feels great" in a wheel is very subjective, but hopefully you can tune this to your liking.
Good luck 👍

Hehehe. :) Thanks Manny, I'll have a tinker with them tonight. I'm just impressed by the amount my times you're knocking off. :)

It's not a bug or a glitch, but the standard settings in this game are woeful.

RouWa: do 161km and it should give you the badge. In the EU version they even say to do 120km on US career cars but you have to do 160.

And another thing. I couldn´t do a clean lap on Silverstone Int but you have to do a clean lap on Silverstone GP. The GP tracks is also missing in the EU clean list and instead there is the Alpental track so this confused me.

I know. One mile is 1609,344m. My car with the lowest mileage was the Shelby GT500 (last image) with 160.93?? (160.9300-160.9343) km. It was indeed less than 100 miles, but more than the requested 160,0000km.

My biggest issue is the gears and settings randomly changing when one races online as opposed to quick race. Whats the Point of racing my GTR SpecV (a car which a lot of people use for 14.00) if I cant use my competitive edge that I spent hours tuning. I drive very Hard and Precise with most assists off, so any small change in my settings are noticeable to me. One race my car is fine, accelerates nice and tops out at 170; just where I want it to. The next race, same track, I cant get out of 6th gear and my car takes turns a whole lot wider than it should, therefore messing up brake distance an turn in estimations... which is the whole essence of driving for me ... and the bumps on Ambush Canyon are a great hinderance... they send u flying into the tires. Take it fast and you'll run off the road, take it cautiously and u will get RAN off the road.

On a different note, has anyone on the xbox 360 encountered the glitch where the menu freezes and it says "Playstation Store" at the top of the screen? I thought my eyes were playing games with me, but it has happened on a number of occasions.
