No-ones got past 98% on the console version i take it? :( :( :(
So far there isnt a single person I know (on the console versions) that have 100% and I was online this weekend for about 9 hours and everyone on the console only had 98%. X-box or PS2.
I am 98% finished on PS2.
I am 40% finished on X-box.

I rented this game today and I wasn't impressed. So , I didn't bought the game as I planed and I also saved up the money for GT4 👍

Dam i cant believe I wasted my time on that game the only reason I kept on playing is cuz I wanted to get 100%. I knew there where reasons y I hated EA so much. Dam u EA dam u all to HELL.

I gotta question, it says I have 100% parts unlocked, but when I go to customize my car, none of the wide body kits are unlocked.

That's another one of the mistakes that EA made. They didn't count the unique stuff,it doesn't add to the total percentage. You need to win some Outruns to unlock Wide Body Kits.Additionally, you will unlock all parts (except unique performance upgrades) after you beat the main game (story).

That's pretty funny considering the car in your avatar looks like it's straight out of NFSU:2 ;) I agree the game has it's bad points, but imo it's still good. Question though... have you played it? I thought it was going to be wack until i played it and was pleasantly surprised. And with the whole ugly thing, you don't have to uglify your cars. I've got a 10* 350Z that looks identical to Do Luck's 350, it's hot and def not fugly.
Yes, I have played before. The game is by far one of the worst racing games to date. I rented and then returned promptly. This is what happens when people who have no clue about the American import culture sit down and make an uninformed game with a million fake parts and bs. Its also made in Canada....and if you pick up any Candian import mags, youll totally understand that they have no grasp of import tuning whatsoever. Roof scoops are for the WRC, spinners are for pretentious rappers with SUVs and other over the top, useless vehicles.
And I sure as hell dont want any game that implements phony tuning parts like those cheaply extruded bodies from the minds of lackluster, uninformed 3d artists.
The game relies on making a super beater vehicle to progress and I am beyond shocked that you cant even put GTR emblems on every car in the game to add to that rediculous factor.
And beyond the fact of phony parts and other absurdities, they added SUVs. Vehicles that have no part or love in the import industry. If anyone here who has ever been to a SEMA, HIN/HID, EAD, IAS, or any other mainstream auto show would know that it is hard enough to show even a little love for American domestics.
And we all know, if youre into imports, you must talk like ghetto, gutter trash, as the game thouroughly implies.

If you have any actual value or love for the import industry/lifestyle, then place a preorder for Forza. I recently got a huge demo of this game mailed to me from the CES show and the tuning in this game is authentic. Nothing but real parts for all auto tuning genres. Features more tuning than any GT game and youcan perform engine swaps, change an FWD car to RWD, anything. Thats real.

Umm so your blaming Canada for this game??????????

Hmm, I never knew that, are you implying that us Canadians have absolutely no taste in cars???

Be that as it may...

I finally picked this one up the other day (traded in a few old games and got it for only $25 brand new).

I don't count it as a serious racer by any stretch, so I'm certainly not going to argue with AutoTooned and try to say it's a realistic intepretation of tuner culture.. hehe. But, on the flip side, it is rather entertaining. And in the end, that's really what it's all about. It is a game, after all. I wasn't too keen on it at first, putzing around town in a Civic, but once I went berserk in the body shop, I actually started enjoying it.

I think the racing game genre is kind of like science fiction. In sci-fi, for example, you have Star Trek and Star Wars. For some reason, the various fans are always at each other's throats. The same seems to hold true for NFS and GT. However, there are sci-fi fans out there who are fans of both Star Trek and Star Wars. I can enjoy both of these shows for what they are, and I don't try to compare them. Same for NFS and GT. In GT, I can have a friend over and show him how to get good laptimes on Nürburgring. With NFS:U, I can bring a friend over and show him an EvoVIII that could set off an epileptic seizure. It's purely for ****s and grins.

Burnout 3 has no realism. It relies on that. Its market is primely arcade racing fans. NFSU relies on import tuner fans as its prime market. So if youre gonna market something to a specific base of people, then you want it to represent it correctly. BO3, on the other hand, is all about pure adrenaline racing, which is what you get. Its an arcade racer just the same as NFSU yet its a million times better. Ive already clocked in over 70 hours in the game and it was 100% completed at 24 hours. There are no tuning options, "free roaming," etc and is obviously not a serious racer. Its just a blast to play, especially against people online. The Euro Racer dominates.
So whatever made you think Im some "serious video game racer fan" youre sorely mistaken. Im just apart of that import tuner market base that EA campaigned to.
BTW, I hate both NFSU and GT sim games.
If I want a real driving experience, I can go for a drive in a real car, but dont get me started on the ultimate boredom that is the Gran Turismo games.

One of the main beefs I have with the NSFU series is that its just not as good (not good at all) compared to the other NFS games. I grew up on the originals. I mean, I still race as a T-Rex float in NFS2 on the theme park track and still have a blast. The Hot Persuit games are awesome as well. In fact, I enjoy all NFS genres except the Underground titles. They are simply boring and are missing out on the heart that makes NFS games such a blast.
When the PS2 came out I sold my PS and all its games save for MGS and my NFS games becuase they are so awesome. On a separate note, I also saved Skullmonkeys because its just a great classic.
The Underground series just shouldnt have the title of NFS at all. It should be named more properly as "Beater Boyz Blast To Boredom."
One last thing that irks me about NFSU2 is that one of my favorite tuning companies, Do-Luck USA, endorsed it. :ouch:

What skill is required? Seriously? Anyone can pick it up and play it, assuming they can get past the lack of speed. You can have a 1200HP Camaro and be at like 180 MPH and feel like youre not going over 40. Thats boring.

Im still at 98% with nothing else to do but whilst experiencing online mode round my mates house (JaSoN155 if you think you can beat him!) i found out about that bar thing you can fill in. Is this the other 2% i need?

I don't like the absurd port they have done with the PC version.

I have an Athlon 64+, Radeon X800 XT PE, 1Gb RAM, and the bugger still jerks.

EA have no idea what "quality control" means.

Hey guys, I am having trouble finding all of the hidden shops. Right now I am missing 1 in Coral Harbor East and 1 in Jackson Heights. Does anyone know of a map that has all of the hidden shops pointed out? If anyone could tell me where the shop (not the body shop) in Jackson Heights is that would be cool.

I found the last shop in Coral Harbor East but I still have not been able to find the second shop in Jackson Heights, is there anyone that can supply a map or a link to one or something, usually one person will respond to a question like this but not so far, that is very strange.

God its been a while since ive been on gtp. Anyways...basiclaly i just borrowed a copy of nfsu2 from my cousin for ps2. Everythings going fine theres jut this one thing that just keeps getting on my nerves. Why is it that in my dyno the results are displayed in Nm and kW rather than ft/lbs and HP? its just really annoys me. So if anyone know where i can change that it would be much appreciated.

Why did you post the same question 4 times?:dunce:

The cheats that you enter before the menu screen are kinda lame. Personally I don't really care what Chingy's Navigator might look like. I feel the worst aspect of this game is that the cars you unlock last aren't even worth using. The Skyline and WRX are the last cars unlocked, but by that point you've nearly finished the game and it isn't worth switching cars.

Also it seems silly to me that the Celica is the best car in the game (according to the sliders) yet it's one of the first cars available. If you're going to make the WRX and Skyline last they should at least be better than the other cars.
