Wild have a 3-1 lead at the end of the 2nd, I really wish cable/satellite wasn't so expensive.:grumpy:

I saw most of the Philadelphia at Buffalo game earlier today. The Sabres held serve at home 5-2 over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Yeah, Broad Street Bullies are having a tough time of it. Hope the north-east are as strong as they look, would make for an awesome season.

Boston's really the only strong team in the NE. Montreal and Toronto suck, Ottawa and Buffalo are OK, playoff bubble teams.

Wild are now 2-0 after beating Dallas, Parise also got his first goal as a member of the Wild.:D

I usually cheer on the Dallas Stars in the NHL (the ONLY Dallas team this Houstonian cheers on), but part of me pulls for the Minnesota Wild since we have the Houston Aeros of the AHL. The Aeros are the AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild.

When I was watching the Flyers at Sabres game, I was pleased just to see players plow over each other and even engage in a few fights. Just makes me say- ah, yes... the NHL is back! :D I'm certainly pleased a deal was arranged to get this season going rather than completely abandon it.

Wow, That St.Louis game was absolutley awful. Detroit just capsized about 5 minutes into the game. Hoping it's just post lockout rust and still confusion about where our Swedish Guardian is in the defence.

Next up CBJ, gonna go for 3-2 SO to the Wings.

Whats wrong with Dallas? Theyre a good team..

They used to be the Minnesota North Stars, Norm Green moved the team in 1993 to Dallas, it wasn't a very liked move in Minnesota because the way he did it and reasons behind it(Started moving the team the moment attendance went down and also because his wife wanted him to).

4-3 Wings victory then, just about called it with the Shoot out deciding it. Couldnt watch it because I had Uni today but apparently very gritty. 2 points in the bag. And not the worst team for now in the conference. Happy chappy. :D

What a SO goal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tynq10rFwV0

Hate mid-week games purely because I usually can't watch them. :(

Looks like Brunner could be a good rookie...Dallas game should be interesting tonight.

Going to go for 3-2 Detroit OT.

Well Detroit lost and Brunner scored, but isnt Brunner too old to be a rookie? Lehtonen was amazing 39/40.

Montreal won tonight, and Alex Galchenyuk got his first NHL goal. Andrei Markov is back, he ripped 2 slapshot goals from the point on the PP, vintage Markov.

Philly is terrible! :P 0-3-0.

[Edit]: Also Chicagos offence is looking really strong! Just wonder if they had better goalie.

[Edit2]: Also Nail Yakupov nailed it (had to) he got his first NHL goal also Justin Schultz got his first. Also! Thats alot of alsos lol :DD

Gah, Goaltending masterclass from both sides last night. 1-2-0...could be worse, could be Philly.

Brunner getting another goal is great. Making quite the impression.

After watching the highlights again, it's fair to say without Howard we would be in big trouble. Some of those saves are juat pure magic.

I think the man you need is Kronwall, he is great but not superb. He needs to take a big step forwards. Also Filppula needs to play amazing 35-40 points. (God damnit also again)

Agree on both fronts. Also with White side-lined looks like ANOTHER regular season of playing the Griffins instead of the big team.

Damn Gaborik! Hat-trick and a OT GW.. -.- Well atleast 1-point. But Leafs won against pittsbirgh 5-2!
