Someone needs to explain that one to me. New to hockey and don't understand how that waves off an active developing play? And how was it a double when it looked to me like that Blackhawks player got absolutely demolished and then slammed down?

So, the Conference finalists:
East:
Penguins vs Bruins
West:
Blackhawks vs Kings
Predictions: Bruins and Hawks

Leaderboards:
Noob: 9

To put it plain and simple, the NHL refs are shockingly bad for a professional league with 3.3 billion in revenue per year. Whenever there's a penalty, play continues until the offending team touches the puck. In this case the Blackhawks were carrying the puck while the call was made, so the play is stopped as soon as the ref decided to call the penalties.

In the playoffs the refs call far less penalties for fear of "impacting the game". Then they call something hilariously stupid and really impact the game. I agree, the call on the Blackhawks player was really stupid, he didn't deserve a penalty on that play.

Unfortunately, seemingly illogical penalties are a far too common part of the game. The rulebook leaves most things to a ref's discretion, so consistency from game to game just doesn't exist.

Okay! Because there is 2 seriesses left. One point guessing the winner and one point if the outcome if right.

Penguins 2 - Bruins 4
Blackhawks 4 - Kings 2

Lol changing the rules at the end when I'm in the lead eh? :P

In that case Pens in 6, Hawks in 7

If this season's Stanley Cup Finals come down to Boston and Chicago, it would be a good old battle between two of the NHL's Original Six. I have no favorites in this current leg of the playoffs, but I am interested in seeing how the Blackhawks try to keep pace. I don't know... when you have an amazing regular season but stumble in the postseason, it's unfulfilling. Almost like you start strong... and [you should] finish strong- no excuses.

Speaking of the Original Six, I heard Detroit is going to the Eastern Conference next season. I have to wonder how the Red Wings will do in the East.

Good luck to the remaining playoff teams.

I really wanted to see Chara vs Cindy. And matt cooke what an **hole that guy is...

Implying Cooke's hit was anywhere near as bad as Marchand's...

Bad game for Pittsburgh, they'll bounce back.

Also, excellent game from Rask. Props as a fellow goalie.

cookes hit was alot more terrible than Marchands touch. Rask 29/29. Horton 1+2, Krejci 2+0 and Lucic 0+1.

I don't know how you could watch Marchand hit Neal from behind a foot away from the boards and call it "a touch".

It's roughing, a hit from behind, and boarding all at once. Not apologizing for Cooke but it's pretty hard to watch that hit get 5 and a game while Marchand gets 2.
